Weed
Delores Jean Weed, 67, of George West died at her home on Friday, Feb. 18, 2005.
Born in Oklahoma City on April 28, 1937, she was married to her husband, Robert Charters Weed Jr., on April 26, 1952. She was baptized in Lubbock in July of 1958.
Memorial services were held Tuesday at 10 a.m. at Ritchea-Gonzales Funeral Home in Sinton.
Survivors include her husband of 53 years, Robert Charters Weed Jr. of George West; her children, DiAnna Delores Willis (Larry) and DiNette LaWanna Weed of George West and Robert Charters Weed III (Corlie) of Portland; and five grandchildren, Crystal Michelle George, Heather Brooke Dobson, Tyler Douglas Morris, Aleasha Marie Weed and Miranda Leigh Weed.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the cancer research organization of one’s choice.
Arrangements were handled through Ritchea-Gonzales Funeral Home, Sinton.
Ybarra
Blas Ramirez Ybarra Jr., 23, died Sunday, Feb. 20, 2005, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
Rosary was recited Monday at 7 p.m. at Treviño Funeral Home. Funeral services took place Tuesday at 10 a.m. at the same location with Pastor Salvador Rincon officiating. Burial followed in Evangelico Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Rene, Juan, Efraien, Efren and Ramiro Ybarra and Vicente Barrera.
Mr. Ybarra was born in Beeville on April 26, 1981, to Blas Sr. and Estefana (Ramirez) Ybarra. He attended A.C. Jones High School. He was employed as a delivery driver for Pizzarriffic.
Survivors include his parents, Blas Ybarra Sr. and Estefana Ramirez Ybarra; his son, Adrian Salazar Ybarra; his brothers, Rene (Elsa), Juan (Sarah), Efraien (Vanessa), Efren (Isabel) and Ramiro Ybarra, all of Beeville; and his paternal grandfather, Juan Soliz Ybarra of Mercedes.
Donahue
James Lester Donahue, Sr., 61, beloved father and husband, passed away on March 29, 2006 at 12:09 AM from complications of an illness he had been fighting at Christus Spohn South Hospital in Corpus Christi. James retired after 18 years of service with Diamond Shamrock, and he also worked for Tri-Star Aggregates in Berclair. He married Jane Field on September 18,2004. James loved bowling and was an avid bowler. He participated in three bowling leagues, and also a travel league out of the Bee Family Fun Center.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Dick and Sara Hickman, his first wife Brenda, and a brother Rick Hickman.
Survivors include his wife Jane Donahue of Beeville, TX, a daughter Jodie Mika and husband Mark of Panna Maria, TX, James Donahue, Jr, and wife Debbie of Florence, Alabama, and Bobby Donahue and wife Dana of Granger, TX., nine grandchildren, two great grandchildren, two sisters, Sherri Clark of Wellsville, Ohio, and Jane Click of Granite City, Illinois. He will forever be remembered, loved and missed by friends and family alike.
Visitation was held on Friday, March 31,2006 from 6-9PM at Angelus Funeral Home. Funeral Services were on Saturday, April 1, 2006 at 3 PM at the same location and burial to follow at Beeville Memorial Park.
Pallbearers were Manny Sanchez, Paul Ruby, Jr., Tony Kuharski, Tim Brasher, Kyle Shaw, and Archie Ferrell. Honorary Pallbearers were Paul Ruby, Sr., James Choate. Robert Hydock, and Bill Dobra.
Pittman
Loyd Francis Pittman, Sr. age 87 passed away on Tuesday, March 28, 2006. He was born on August 24, 1918 in Harrold, Texas. Loyd proudly served his country for 22 years in the United States Army. He was a highly decorated World War II Veteran who received the Purple Heart and the Combat Infantry Badge. He fought in the Battle of the Bulge and he served under the command of General Patton. He received the presidential unit citation for extraordinary heroism in liberating the concentration camp of Dachau in Dachau, Germany. He loved America, the American Way of Life and the Flag.
He was a Golden Gloves Champion in Corpus Christi and he was a welter weight boxer in the Army. He loved all sports especially boxing and softball. Loyd worked for 12 years at Wal-Mart and had worked for H.E.B. for several years prior to that. He also was employcd by Super S and Stanley's Supermarkets.
He never lost faith. He rested his salvation on the finished work of Jesus. When Jesus cried out, "It is Finished!" nothing more could be added to finish God's salvation plan. Faith in Jesus assured Brother Pittman he was ready for heaven. Today we mourn his loss but rejoice in his home going. It would be a great tribute to Brother Pittman Sr. for someone to come to Christ as a result of his death.
Loyd is survived by his wife, Mrs. Lena Ruth Pittman of Beeville, TX, two sons Loyd Francis Pittman, Jr. and Kenneth Ray Pittman, both of Beeville, TX, one daughter, Beverly K. Brooks of Los Angeles, CA, four grandchildren, Christopher Brooks, Kelly Brooks, Loyd Francis Pittman, III, and Catherine Pittman, three sisters, Clethal Jones of Corpus Christi, TX, Hazel Cypert of Munday, TX, and Lois Rucinski of Philadelphia, PA and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held Thursday, March 30, 2006, beginning at 5 PM till 9 PM at Galloway & Sons Funeral Home. Funeral Services were held on Saturday, April 1, 2006 at 1 PM at Beeville Baptist Church and interment followed at Glenwood Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Kenneth Ray Pittman, Christopher "Rocky" Brooks, James Granderson, Roland Salazar, Mark Sullivan, and Timothy Stowe, Honorary pallbearers were Joe Martin, Harold Butler, and Wes Atwood.

Villanueva
Jesusa Villanueva, 89, of Three Rivers died Wednesday, March 29, 2006, at a local nursing home. She was born Jan. 19, 1917, to Juan and Sarita (Perez) Arriola in Westoff. She was a homemaker and a wonderful mother of 10 children.
Mrs. Villanueva was preceded in death by her husband, Francisco Villanueva; one son, Pablo Villanueva; and two daughters, Herminia Garcia and Juanita Chacon.
Survivors include one son, Adam Villanueva of Pettus; six daughters, Delia Duenez of Karnes City, Lupe Alvarado of Floresville, Ramona Poldreck of Pawnee, Mary Salinas of Three Rivers, Rose Ann Madrigal of Victoria and Jovita Villanueva Ponce of San Antonio; 49 grandchildren; 94 great-grandchildren; and 40 great-great-grandchildren.
A rosary was recited at 7 p.m. Friday at the Roberson Funeral Home Chapel in Three Rivers.
The funeral service was celebrated Saturday at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church in Pawnee. Burial followed in Our Lady of Guadalupe Cemetery in Pawnee.

Mr. Charles Wilson was called upon by our most Precious Lord on March 29, 2006 at the age of 82. He was born in Beeville, Texas on November 3, 1923 to the late Charles Wilson and Susanna Martinez. Charles was a warm and caring person who enjoyed spending quality time with his family. He enjoyed working on crossword puzzles and he also was a baker and a butcher. Mr. Wilson was a veteran of the United States Army. He is survived by his loving wife Estella Wilson of Beeville, Texas; two sons: Charles (Infa) Wilson and Lee (Endy) Wilson both of Houston, Texas; six grandchildren; Charles Wilson, Brock Wilson, Drew Wilson, Michael Wilson, Denise D'Ann Wilson and Melisa Zarogosa; four great-grandchildren; Charles Wilson V, Kylie Wilson, Emma Grace Wilson and Ryan Zarogosa. Rosary was recited on Friday, March 31, 2006 at 7:00 p.m. at Trevino Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral Mass was celebrated on April 1, 2006 at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church and burial to follow at Beeville Memorial Park. Park. Pallbearers were Charles Wilson, Michael Wilson, Drew Wilson, Brock Wilson, Tom Hale and Amado Laurel. Johnnie Mae Benning, 81, of Beeville died on Sunday, April 23, 2006, at her residence.
She was born on Feb. 14, 1925, in Kenedy to Golden Whitehead and John Phillips. She married William Lee Benning in Kenedy and was a housewife.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
She is survived by her daughter, Pinkie Lee Robinson of Beeville; two sisters, Mrs. Allen “Chocolate” Rupe of Beeville and Lazarine Watson of Los Angeles, Calif.; four grandchildren, Letricia D. Blackmon, Edward P. Robinson Jr., Sheila D. Heath and Aurora K. Robinson; 13 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held today (Wednesday) from 6 to 8 p.m. at Treviño Funeral Home in Beeville. Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 10 a.m. at Bethlehem Baptist Church with Rev. Eric Tarver officiating. Special music will be provided by Brother Jessie N. Robinson and Brother Timbo Mack. Burial will take place at Runge Cemetery in Runge.
Pallbearers will be Rodney Langley, Edward Robinson, Kelvin Nash, Derrick Langley, Bobby Robinson, Lionel Hodge, Thomas Heath and Rhea Mayberry. Honorary pallbearers will be the deacons of Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church.

Guy Benson Crites Jr., 79, of Sandia died on Tuesday, April 25, 2006.
He was born on Aug. 6, 1926, to Cleo McClure and Guy Crites Sr. in Taft. He was a horse trainer.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a grandson, Kevin Haws.
He is survived by his wife, Jessie Crites of Sandia; his daughter, Valerie (Ricky) Haws of Skidmore; his son, Troy (Barbara) Crites of Corpus Christi; his sister, Mary Ellen Lucas of Las Vegas , Nev.; two grandsons, Brandon Haws and Nathan Haws; one step-granddaughter, La Tisha (James) Wammack; two step-great-granddaughters; two nephews, Billy D. Lucas and Tig Lucas; and one niece, Lisa Lucas.
Visitation will be held today (Wednesday) from 7 to 9 p.m. at Colonial Funeral Home in Taft. A graveside service will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday at Taft Memorial Park.

Frank “Pancho” Rodriguez, 71, of Skidmore died on Thursday, April 20, 2006, at Kindred Hospital in Corpus Christi.
He was born in La Grulla on July 4, 1934, to Prudencia Chapa and Ruperto Rodriguez. At the age of 18 he moved to Chicago, Ill., where he worked in a textile factory. He moved back to Texas in the 1970s and began working at HB Zachry construction. He was employed by the City of Beeville in 1985 and was retired years later. He married Minnie McGee in Beeville in 1976. Frank was an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed working in his garden and spending time with his family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother, Espiredion Rodriguez of Joliet, Ill.; his sisters, Bernarda Rodriguez, Leonildes Rodriguez and Juanita Solis of La Grulla, and Candelaria Ruiz of San Antonio; and his grandson Jared M. Hernandez of Spring.
He is survived by his wife, Minnie McGee of Skidmore; his sister Rosa and husband Jose Garcia; sons Ray Sr. and wife Karla Hernandez of Spring, LeeRoy and wife Carmelina Amador of Santa Fe, Ray Hernandez Jr. of The Woodlands, Jesus Alberto and wife Mary Rodriguez of Skidmore; grandchildren, Brandon, Nickolas, Whitney, Adam, Devon, Rhyan, Nathan, Sarah, Anthony, Michele and Melanie; several nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many friends.
Visitation was held from 3 to 9 p.m. on Sunday at Treviño Funeral Home in Beeville. A rosary was recited at 7:30 p.m. Funeral Mass was celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the Immaculate Conception Church in Skidmore and was followed by interment at Evergreen Cemetery, also in Skidmore.
Pallbearers were Ray Hernandez Jr., Nickolas Hernandez, Brandon Guerrero, Nathan Hernandez, D.J. Amador and Eddie Ruiz. Mrs. Case
Ethel Bernice Case, 92, of Ingleside on the Bay and formerly of Beeville, died on Thursday, Nov. 2, 2006, in Aransas Pass.
She was born on March 1, 1914, in El Dorado, Kan., to Maude Mae Hobbs and W.C. Hobbs. She married Joe B. Case on Sept. 22, 1934, in Beeville. She was a lifelong member of First Baptist Church. She was formerly employed as secretary with Cox & Cox in Beeville and she was a partner with her husband in the Texaco service stations in Beeville for many years. She was an avid fisherman and deer hunter, a member of Ingleside on the Bay Yacht Club and a member of the Beeville Order of the Eastern Star.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.
Mrs. Case is survived by one son, Joel Curtis Case and wife Iris of Ingleside on the Bay; two daughters, Era Case Wallek and husband Jim of Beeville and Linda Cline and husband John of Bastrop; 11 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held today (Saturday) from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Galloway and Sons Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held there at 2 p.m. with Rev. Bill Stockton officiating. Special music, “What a Friend We Have In Jesus,” will be provided by organist and singer Doug Burton. Interment will follow at Beeville Memorial Park.

Mr. Eissler
Raymond “Ray” Eissler, 61, of Destin, Fla., died on Saturday, Oct. 28, 2006.
He was the director of engineering for Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort for the past six years. He was an avid hunter and was involved in the community. He was a member of the Destin Fishing History Museum, the Amvets VFW, The Elks, The Moose and The Eagles. He was also a volunteer for the Destin Fishing Rodeo and vice commander of the American Legion Post 296.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Mary Louise Eissler and Henry Charles Eissler, both of Beeville.
Survivors include his wife, Judy; two sons, Jerry Jay Brantly and wife Susan of Sealy, and Chuck Eissler of Big Sur, Calif.; four grandchildren, Justin, Hillary, Madison and Jared Brantly, all of Sealy; two brothers, Clay Eissler and wife Lynn and Larry Eissler and wife Cindi, both of Houston; and 12 nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, Nov. 12, from 3 to 5 p.m. at the VFW 3837 Hall, 12030 Leopard, Corpus Christi.
Arrangements were by National Cremation in Ft. Walton Beach, Fla.
