Mr. Fox
Cecil Fox, 84, of Normanna died on Thursday, Nov. 2, 2006.
He was born on May 31, 1922, in Bee County to Margaret Reneau Fox and Lee Fox. He married Inez Walker on Nov. 16, 1946, in Three Rivers. Mr. Fox served in the U.S. Army and was owner and operator of C&M Construction Company. He was a member of Normanna Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother.
Survivors include his wife, Inez Fox of Normanna; four children, Clyde Fox and wife Connie and Michael Fox, both of Normanna, Barbara Fox of Corpus Christi and Brenda Hinckley and husband Roy of Olathe, Kan.; one brother, Raymond Fox and wife Juanita of Carrizo Springs; eight grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation was to be held from 4 to 8 p.m. on Friday at Galloway & Sons Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held there at 10 a.m. Saturday with Rev. Brian Simon officiating and music by organist Lynn Broadway. Interment will follow at Normanna Cemetery.

Ms. Petrus
Marjorie Evelyn Rylant Petrus, 84, of Skidmore died on Tuesday, Oct. 31, 2006.
She was born on Nov. 8, 1921, in Emory to Mamie Beatrice Roan and William Hershel Rylant. She graduated from high school in Skidmore in 1938. She was a member of Skidmore United Methodist Church. She had worked for Alamo Moving and held positions as tax assessor-collector for Skidmore-Tynan ISD, clerk at the Tax Office for the City of Beeville, treasurer for Skidmore Ambulance Service and recording secretary for Skidmore United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Mary Jo Lively; one brother, Don Rylant; and one nephew, David Lively.
She is survived by one sister, Louise Disbro of Premont and Sugar Land; one sister-in-law, Judy Rylant of Robstown; eight nieces and nephews; 17 great-nieces and nephews; 14 great-great-nieces and nephews; and three special caregivers, Emma Nell Fletcher, Andy DeLaGarza and Anita Hernandez.
Visitation was held on Thursday from 6 to 9 p.m. at Galloway & Sons Funeral Home, with funeral services held there at 2 p.m. Friday, with Rev. Jason Calvert officiating. Special songs, sung by Mickie Sikes, were “In the Garden” and “How Great Thou Art.” Interment followed at Glenwood Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Monte J. Lively, Stephen M. Lively, Thomas Earl Disbro, Donnie Rylant, Ben Mims Jr. and Robert Rios.

Avery
Ellisha Omar Avery, infant son of Quinnton Avery and Ebony Tims, died Thursday, Feb. 13, 2003, at Christus Spohn Hospital Beeville.
Graveside services will be held today (Saturday) at 10 a.m. at St. Rose Cemetery with the Rev. Eric Tarver officiating.
Ellisha was born on Jan. 2, 2003, in Beeville.
He is survived by his parents, Quinnton Avery and Ebony Tims; his brother, Quinnton Avery Jr.; his sister, Tamyra Avery; his maternal grandfather, Charles Hodge Jr.; his maternal grandmother, Priscilla Tims; his paternal grandmother, Dorothy Avery; and his maternal great-grandparents, Charles and Claudia Hodge and Rosetta Green, all of Beeville.

Baker
Allen Tedder Baker, 24, died Wednesday, Feb. 12, 2003, as a result of a one-vehicle accident in Smith County near Tyler.
Mr. Baker was born in Beeville on Nov. 6, 1979, to Billy Allen and Sarah Tedder Baker. He attended St. Philip’s Episcopal School here as well as the public schools. He graduated from R.E. Lee High School in Tyler in May 1998. His school interests included band, soccer and cross country running. He went into the Marine Corps in June 1998 and was stationed in Hawaii after completing boot camp at Camp Pendleton,  Calif., and the School of Infantry, where he served as a machine gunner. He ended his service with the rank of corporal. He spent last summer as “ground crew chief” for his brother’s hot air balloon racing team, which included attending the 15th annual International Hot Air Balloon World Championship in Chatelleraut, France.
Mr. Baker was preceded in death by his father in 1997.
He is survived by his mother, a brother, William Edwin “Bill” Baker, both of Tyler, and a special friend, Riley Krempa.
Services are scheduled for 1:30 p.m. today (Saturday) at the Christ Episcopal Church in Tyler with the Revs. Harrison McCloud and Jack Russell officiating. Burial with full military honors will follow in the Lakewood Cemetery in Henderson. Family visitation was to be held from 6 to 7 p.m. Friday at Burks Walker Tippit Funeral Home in Tyler.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to St. Philip’s Episcopal School Scholarship Fund, 308 E. Cleveland St., Beeville, TX 78102, or to the charity of one’s choice.
Arrangements were handled through Burks Walker Tippit Funeral Directors, Tyler.

Lothringer
Myrtle K. Lothringer, 79, of Lubbock and formerly of Taylor, died Tuesday, Feb. 11, 2003. Memorial services will be held at 10:30 a.m. today (Saturday) at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Taylor, with the Rev. Martin Doering officiating.
Mrs. Lothringer was born on June 19, 1923, in Cedarburg, Wis. She was a teacher’s aide for five years and a home health care giver.
Survivors include two sons, Robert A. Lothringer of Midland and Bill Lothringer of Lubbock; a daughter, Sandra Lee Smith of Lubbock; a brother, Ralph Kurth of Kewaskum, Wis.; six grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and two step-great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions to the charity of one’s choice.
Arrangements are under the direction of Wilson’s Funeral Directors of Wolfforth.

Butts
Irmer Seleta Manning Butts, 94, died Sunday, Dec. 14, 2003, in Beeville.
She was born on Jan. 7, 1909, in Kingsville to Joseph Arthur and Seleta Elmo (Garner) Manning. She married George Llewellyn Butts on Aug. 19, 1932, in Corpus Christi.
She joined First Baptist Church in the 1940s, and was active in the church until poor health slowed her down. She is a past president of the Baptist Women’s Missionary Union (WMU) and was a longtime Sunday school teacher. She spent many years in charge of vacation Bible school refreshments at FBC and also was a leader in the Boy’s Royal Ambassador’s (RA’s) and the Girl’s Auxiliary (GA’s) programs at FBC. She also served many years as dean of women at Alto Frio Baptist Church Camp in Leakey.
She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents and a brother, Elmo Arthur Manning.
Survivors include a sister, Olga Cash of Phoenix, Ariz.; a son, Dennis George Butts and wife Anafair of Beeville; two granddaughters, Lisa  Johnson and husband John of Beeville and Bonni Proctor and husband Duane of Victoria; a grandson, Devin Butts and wife Alison of Floresville; and five great-grandchildren, Brooke and Cody Johnson, Brittany and Brandon Proctor and Alexandria Butts.

Gomez
Genoveva Arredondo Gomez, 79, died Saturday, Dec. 13, 2003, at Christus Spohn Hospital Beeville.
Rosary was recited Monday at 7 p.m. at Treviño Funeral Home chapel. Funeral Mass was celebrated Tuesday at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church with Father Richard Gonzales officiating. Burial followed at Our Lady of Victory Cemetery No. 1.
Pallbearers were Roland, Mike and Armando Banda, Joe Anthony Ramirez, Joe Alex Ramirez and Marcus Velasquez.
Mrs. Gomez was born on Jan. 3, 1924, in Riverdale to Felipe Sr. and Tomasita (Ramirez) Arredondo. She was a lifelong resident of Beeville. She was a housewife and a Catholic. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a daughter, Melinda M. Barnett, four brothers and three sisters.
Survivors include seven daughters, Frances Moreno, Melba (Victor) Martinez, Laura (Domingo) Guerra, Dora (Jarvis) Ochoa, Lucille Gonzales and Genevieve (Gregorio) Diaz, all of Beeville, and Rosie Jane (Joe) Torres of  Oklahoma City, Okla.; a sister, Tomasita (Adalberto) Treviño of Beeville; 20 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

Thomas Woodrow Lemley, 87, died Sunday, Dec. 14, 2003, in Converse.
Visitation was held Tuesday from 5 to 9 p.m. at Galloway and Sons Funeral Home chapel in George West. Funeral services were held Wednesday at 1 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church in George West, with the Rev. Mel Hazlewood officiating. Burial followed in the George West Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Robert Williams, Richard Williams, Ryan Williams, Kim Boehme, Chris  Johnson and Fabian Corzo.
Mr. Lemley was born in Rogers on Jan. 25, 1916, to James Thomas and Mary Frances (Fikes) Lemley. He married Lorene Sahm on Nov. 8, 1941, in Corpus Christi. He resided in Converse and was previously a longtime resident of George West. He was self-employed as a candy salesman. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church.
He was preceded in death by four brothers, A.B., James Euel, Frank and Buddy Lemley, three sisters, Ruby Hines, Murril McCain and Jewel Sparks, and one grandson, John Thomas Boehme.
Survivors include his wife, Lorene Sahm Lemley of Converse; five daughters, Barbara Boehme and husband Lyn of San Antonio, Janice  Johnson and husband Jim of Houston, Jonita Williams and husband Don of Victoria, Connie Cantrell of Houston, and Donna Lyng and husband Joe of Converse; one granddaughter, Candice Corzo and husband Fabian of Houston; six grandsons, Robert, Richard and Ryan Williams, all of Victoria, Karl Boehme and wife Kathy of Madison, Wis., Kirk Boehme of San Antonio and Chris  Johnson and wife Detra of Houston; and five great-grandchildren, Shelby Williams, Carolina and Christian Corzo and Spencer and Carter Johnson.

Rafaela Rodriguez Luna, 72, of Three Rivers died Sunday, Dec. 14, 2003, in a Corpus Christi hospital.
Visitation was held Tuesday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Galloway and Sons Funeral Home chapel in Three Rivers. Rosary was recited at 7 o’clock that evening at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Three Rivers. Funeral Mass was celebrated today at 10 a.m. at that location, with Father Piotr Gajda officiating. Burial followed at Loma Alta Cemetery in Kenedy.
Mrs. Luna was born on April 28, 1931, in Waelder to Herlindo and Eladia (Ibarra) Rodriguez. She married Rafael P. Luna on Feb. 9, 1957, in Three Rivers. She was a homemaker and a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, who died on Dec. 15, 1997, and a daughter, Gloria Ann Luna.
Survivors include six sons, Carlos Luna and wife Marissa of Laredo, Felix Luna and wife Billie of Beeville, David Luna and wife Dianna of Three Rivers, Raymond Luna and wife Nelda of Pawnee, Thomas Luna and wife Lisa of Karnes City, and Joaquin Luna of Austin; four daughters, Sylvia Romero and husband Carlos Jr. of Beeville, Mary Carvajal and husband Michael of Three Rivers, Samantha Luna Loya of Beeville and Nicole DeAnn Luna of Houston; 19 grandchildren, Jessica, Bethany, Gloria, Joseph, Carlos Rafael II, Alyssa, James, Yvette, Victoria, Jonathan, Michelle, Fidel II, Lea, Matthew, Kristen and Kaitlyn Luna, Carlos II and Adam Romero and Jacob Carvajal; three great-grandchildren, Brandon Jr., Cotton and Quest Loya; six brothers, Genaro Rodriguez of Sun Sites, Ariz., Ignacio Rodriguez of Kenedy, Florentino Rodriguez of Luling, Hector Rodriguez of San Antonio, Jose Rodriguez of Beaumont and Francisco Rodriguez of Houston; and three sisters, Irene Medina of Levelland, Virginia Sanchez of Corpus Christi and Lydia Goodin of Bloomington, Ind.

Augustina Muñoz, 90, died Monday, Dec. 15, 2003, at Christus Spohn Hospital Beeville.
Rosary will be recited tonight (Wednesday) at 7:30 at Treviño Funeral Home chapel. Funeral Mass will be celebrated Thursday at 2 p.m. at St. James Catholic Church with Father Balaswamy Pasala officiating. Burial will follow in Beeville Memorial Park.
Mrs. Muñoz was born on Sept. 27, 1913, in Westphalia to Blas and Maria (Rodriguez) Reyna. She resided in Beeville and was a housewife. She was a member of the Catholic church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Juan Pablo Muñoz, who died Sept. 14, 1990.
Survivors include her daughters, Lupe (Antonio) De La Rosa and Virginia Candela, both of Beeville, and Maria Luisa (Enrique) Martinez of Odem; and two sons, Juan Pablo Muñoz Jr. of Austin and Ricardo (Janie) Muñoz of Beeville; a brother, Blas Reyna Jr. of Sinton; 10 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
