Mr. Rodriguez
Procopio Rodriguez Jr., 77, of Beeville, died on Thursday, March 8, 2007, at Woodridge Nursing Home.
He was born on Jan. 12, 1929, in Beeville to Antonia Gonzales and Procopio Rodriguez Sr. He was a retired farmer and rancher. He was Catholic.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Francisca Lara Rodriguez; hi sparents; and one son, Procopio Rodriguez III.
He is survived by eight daughters, Tina Rivera of Beeville, Marie (Ernest) Villarreal of San Antonio, Mary Ellan Martinez and Enamencia Barrera both of El Paso, Gloria (Pedro) Gaytan and Charlotte (Danny) Fernandez both of Houston, Patricia (Albert) Hinojosa of Brownsville and Irene (Johnny) Mendoza of San Diego; seven sons, John (Belinda) Rodriguez and Gerardo “Jerry” (Lupe) Rodriguez, both of Beeville, David (Blanca) Rodriguez and Oscar Rodriguez both of San Antonio, Raymond Rodriguez of Weatherford, and Dickie (Pam) Rodriguez and Alfred Rodriguez both of Burleson; one sister, Chavela (Valentin) Amador of Beeville; one brother, Antonio Rodriguez of Beeville; 36 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
Rosay was to be recited at 7:30 p.m. Friday at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church. Funeral Mass was celebrated there at 2 p.m. Saturday with Rev. Flover Osorio officiating. Interment followed at Mineral Cemetery.
Pallbearers were his sons.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Foundation.

Mrs. Salinas
Mrs. Herminia G. Salinas, 61, of Beeville died Thursday, March 8, 2007, in Corpus Christi.
She was born March 22, 1945, in Beeville to Teclo and Virginia (Vasquez) Garza.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and one brother, Luis Garza.
Survivors include her husband, Juan Salinas of Beeville; five daughters, Rachel (Joe) Perez, Esmeralda (Henry) Hernandez, Norma (Arturo) Perez and Michelle (Joseph) Muñoz, all of Beeville, and Melissa (Chris) Contreras of Austin; three sons, Ruben Perez and Mark (Linda) Perez, all of Beeville, and Joe Teclo (Mary Jane) Perez of Lubbock; 10 sisters, Virginia Acosta, Dolores Espinosa, Josie Segovia, Maria Alaniz, Annie Gomez, Olga Garza and Alicia Perez, all of Beeville, Maria Alicia Salinas of Three Rivers, Jovita Villanueva of San Antonio and Rosanna Villanueva of Victoria; four brothers, Ted Garza Jr. and Adolfo Garza, both of Beeville, Harold Garza of Houston and Adan Villanueva of Pettus; 32 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
A rosary was recited at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Treviño Funeral Home. The funeral Mass was celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Our Lady of Victory Church. Burial followed at Glenwood Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Henry Hernandez, Joseph Muñoz, Chris Contreras, Arthur Perez, Joe Perez and Joe Hector Perez. Honorary pallbearers were Ruben and Mark Perez.

Mrs. Tapia
Mrs. Anita G. Tapia, 79, died Friday, March 9, 2007, in a Corpus Christi hospital. She was born June 16, 1927, to Regino and Eloisa (Perez) Garcia.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Jose Tapia Jr.
Survivors include four sons, Eloy (Belinda) Tapia, Jesse, Robert and Jose Tapia III, all of Beeville; one sister, Eva Martinez of Beeville; 13 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
A rosary was recited at 7 p.m. Monday at Trevino Funeral Home. The funeral Mass was celebrated Tuesday at 10 a.m. at St. James Catholic Church. Burial followed in Our Lady of Victory Cemetery No. 2.
Pallbearers were Jimmy, Leo, Rocky, Jasper, Bobby and Ramsey Tapia.

Mrs. Troy
Verda Willette Troy, 90, died Sunday, March 11, 2007, at the Gramman House in Beeville. She died peacefully and quietly with her family at her side.
Mrs. Troy was born in Conroe,  Texas, on Dec. 11, 1916.
Mrs. Troy was preceded in death by her husband, Dan A. Troy; and her brothers, William S. Willette, Raymond E. Willette and Charles V. Willette Sr.
She is survived by her nephew, Charles Willette Jr. (Elaine) of Rancho Viejo,  Texas.
Verda lived in Beeville with her husband, Danny, for most of her adult life and was very active in the Episcopal Church and other local activities. One of her favorite pastimes was playing cards with all of her friends at the Beeville Country Club. She was loved by many and will be truly missed, but by none more than her nephew, Charlie.
He lived with Verda and Danny beginning in 1960 and graduated from high school in 1963. During those years and years thereafter, she was known as “Aunt Verda” to all the kids in Charlie’s class.
Her ashes will be buried in the Willette family plot in a private burial service at Oak Lawn Cemetery in Conroe,  Texas.

Dickinson
W. Hurshall Dickinson, 63, of Chattanooga, Tenn., died on Sunday, Nov. 25, 2007.
A native of Beeville, he was born on Aug. 30, 1944, to L.L. (Monte) and Avis Dickinson. He graduated from Beeville’s high school and was active in the Beeville Volunteer Fire Department and Police Department. He also was the head mechanic for the city of Beeville for many years. He had served the  Texas A&M Volunteer Fire Fighters School for more than 30 years as an instructor. He worked for Olan Mills Corporate Headquarters in Chattanooga for 18 years as their head mechanic and later operated his own company, H.D. Enterprises. Most recently, he had served as the grounds manager for Camp Columbus in Hixson, Tenn.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Jessica Dickinson; and his father.
Survivors include his wife, Linda Rankin Dickinson of Chattanooga, Tenn.; children, Carol Canfield of Newnan, Ga., David Dickinson of Cleveland, Tenn., Ginnie Dickinson of West Chester, Pa. and Jennifer Dickinson of Chattanooga, Tenn.; grandchildren, Andy Canfield, William Brandon and Daniel Dickinson, Teagan Rose Riley; his mother, Avis Dickinson of Beeville; and two brothers, Tom of Virginia and Monte Dickinson of Beeville.
A memorial service was held at 4 p.m. Thursday at Camp Columbus in Hixson, Tenn., with the Rev. Don Ferguson officiating.
Memorials may be shared online at www.mem.com.
Arrangements were by Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory & Florist in Chattanooga, Tenn.

Henry
Ima Gene Henry, 86, of Beeville died Thursday, Nov. 29, 2007. She was born Dec. 31, 1921, in Mineral to John Henry and Bessie Marie (Booth) Bass. She married Ray J. Henry in Beeville on Jan. 4, 1941. She was a Baptist and homemaker.
Survivors include her husband, Ray J. Henry of Beeville, one daughter, Patsy Gene Elaine Sparks of Beeville; and one son, Lesley Ray Henry of Orangedale; six grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held today (Saturday) from 2 to 9 p.m. at Galloway & Sons Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. at the same location, with the Rev. Carl Pickett officiating. Burial will follow in Glenwood Cemetery.

Aman
James Elwood Aman, 56, died Monday, Feb. 24, 2003.
Visitation will be held Thursday from 6 to 9 p.m. at Galloway and Sons Funeral Home chapel. Rosary will be recited that evening at 7 o’clock at the same location.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday at 11 a.m. at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, with Father Patrick Donohoe officiating. Organist will be Sister Julie Macaraeg, O.P. Burial will follow in Beeville Memorial Park.
Pallbearers will be William Aman, Mark Aman, Jeff Aman, John P. Schacherl, Ray Starr, Randy Miller, Ray Parker and Luckie Biggs. Honorary pallbearer is Marshall Schoth.
Mr. Aman was born on Nov. 25, 1946, in Beeville to Nolan and Roberta Aman. He was a graduate of A.C.  Jones High School and Stephen F. Austin State University of Nacogdoches.
After graduation he moved to Houston where he developed a career in sales in the medical product field. He married Connie Axley on July 15, 1967, in Victoria. At the time of his death, he was employed by Jake’s Finer Foods. He was a member of Notre Dame Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus and Kappa Alpha fraternity. He enjoyed his horses and his place in the country in Beeville, which he has shared with friends and family.
Survivors include his wife of 35 years, Connie Axley Aman; a son, James E. Aman Jr. of Houston; a daughter, Laurie Aman Galloway and husband Kevin of San Antonio; a brother, Thomas O. Aman and wife Mary of Beeville; and 11 nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and twin brother, Robert Nolan Aman.

Arrisola
Pablo Arrisola, 84, died Tuesday, Feb. 25, 2003
Rosary will be recited Friday at 7 p.m. at Angelus Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church with Deacon Manuel Carranco officiating. Burial will follow at the Arrisola Ranch Cemetery in Mineral.
Pallbearers will be Carlos G. Cantu, Alejandro, Carlos and Joe A. Rodriguez.
Mr. Arrisola was born on Sept. 20, 1918, in Mineral to Victor and Leonides (Moya) Arrisola. He married Petra Diaz on May 19, 1941, in Bee County. He resided in Beeville and was a gauger in the oil and gas industry.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Dionicio Arrisola; his sister, Isabel Guerrero; his half-sisters, Anita Saenz and Felicita Treviño; and his half-brothers, Genaro and Alcario Arrisola.
Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Petra Diaz Arrisola; two sons, Matthew Arrisola of Beeville and Joe Arrisola of Grand Prairie; twin daughters, Maria Luisa Arrisola and Maria Elena Rodriguez, both of Beeville; a sister, Manuela Arrisola Cantu of Beeville; a half-sister, Lorenza Salinas of San Antonio; a half-brother, Johnny Arrisola of Beeville; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Gomez
Pedro Gomez, 68, died Tuesday, Feb. 25, 2003
Graveside services will be held today (Wednesday) at 3 p.m. at Beeville Memorial Park with Deacon Manuel Carranco officiating.
Mr. Gomez was born on May 19, 1934, in Goliad. He was married to Eva (Adamez) Gomez, who preceded him in death on May 8, 2002.
He resided in Beeville and was a self-employed landscaper. He was a member of Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church.
Survivors include four daughters, Mary Frances (Raul) Hernandez of Beeville, Ninfa and Felicita Gomez, both of San Angelo, and Cynthia (Aurelio) Moreno of San Antonio; two sons, Robert Gomez of San Angelo and Pedro Gomez Jr. of Columbus, Ga.; seven grandchildren; three great-granddaughters; two brothers, Jesus and Martin Gomez, both of Beeville; and one sister, Santos Reyes of Beeville.
