Talley
Sheri Ruth Burney Talley, 49, died March 9, 2005.
Graveside services were held Tuesday at 10 a.m. in Glenwood Cemetery with Pastor Chuck Jennings officiating. Special music included “In the Garden” and “Amazing Grace.”
Pallbearers were Joseph McCoy, Jessie McCoy, James Evans, Dallas Talley and Naomi Hambrecht.
Mrs. Talley was born in Odessa on Feb. 23, 1956, to Bruce Gilford and Mary Louise (Carpenter) Burney. She served in the U.S. Navy. She was a member of the Church of Christ in Kenedy.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dallas Deen Talley and her parents, Bruce and Mary Louise Burney.
Survivors include her daughter, Naomi Hambrecht of New York City; two sons, Jessie and Joseph McCoy of Kenedy; a sister, Lorrayne Evans and husband James of Floresville; her step-mother, Laura Burney of Coy City; mother and father-in-law, Dallas and Linda Talley of Beeville; a niece, Marlaine Fleury of LaVernia; and a nephew, Eric Sunden of San Antonio.
Memorials may be made to Northview Baptist Church in Floresville, P.O. Box 561, Floresville, TX 78114.

Mr. Brannon
Lenn Howard Brannon, 89, passed aay on February 12, 2006, in Beeville,  Texas, at home surrounded by family. He was born on September 2, 1916, to John Howard and Arminda Brannon and raised in  West Virginia. Lenn was a combat veteran of World War II and worked for over 40 years in the oil field business. He retired from Texaco. He is preceded in death by his wife of 39 years, Ruth Handy Brannon; survived by two daughters, Sharon Kight (Charles) of Troy,  Texas, and Lennette Huser (David) of George West,  Texas; six grandchildren, Robbie Kight (Andrea), Christopher Kight (Carrie), Connie Kight, Sarah Chapman (Bob, Benjamin Huser, and Curtis Kight; two great grandchildren, Chrislenn Kight (Christopher and Carrie) and Allison Kight (Robbie and Andrea). Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 14, 2006, at 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm at Galloway & Sons chapel, Beeville,  Texas. Funeral services will be conducted at Galloway & Sons chapel at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, February 15, 2006. Burial will follow at Glenwood Cemetery in Beeville,  Texas. Galloway & Sons Funeral Home P. Mr. Cisneros
Gilbert Cisneros, 23, of Beeville died Friday, Feb. 10, 2006, in San Patricio County from injuries sustained in an accident. Mr. Cisneros was born July 30, 1982, to Robert and Selsa (Saldaña) Cisneros in Beeville. He was a member of the Catholic church and a 2000 graduate of A.C.  Jones High School where he participated in the Trojan football and soccer teams and enjoyed playing pool. He was recently invited to participate in a pool tournament in Las Vegas, Nev.
Survivors include his parents, Robert and Selsa Cisneros of Beeville; a sister, Crystal Cisneros of Beeville; three brothers, Robert Jr., Gabriel and Albert Cisneros, all of Beeville; his paternal grandparents, Jose and Maria Cisneros of Beeville; and his maternal grandmother, Olivia Saldaña of Berclair.
A rosary will be recited at 7 o’clock this evening (Wednesday) at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church. The funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Joseph’s Church, with the Rev. Patrick Donohoe officiating. Burial will follow in the St. Joseph Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Gabriel, Albert and Robert Cisneros Jr., Albert and Alex Maldonado, Matthew Silvas and Louis Sanchez.
Honorary pallbearers will be Michael Silvas, Johnny Gonzales and Gilbert Rodriguez.

Mr. Davis
John Lester Davis, born on April 12, 1941, went to be with the Lord on February 12, 2006 at the age of 64 years. Mr. Davis was an avid golfer and had a great love for the game. Mr. Davis is preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Kathryn Davis and brother Loren E. Davis. He is survived by his sister, Elinor E. Greene and brother-in-law Keith; nieces Debra Flanagan, Sandra Rice and Shayne; nephews Scott B. Greene, Vaughn Davis, and a host of friends in Beeville,  Texas and Phoenix, Arizona. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 15, 2006 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Mission Park Funeral Chapels South. Funeral services will beheld on Thursday, February 16, 2006 at 3:00 pm also at the funeral home with interment to follow at Mission Burial Park South. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Hope Hospice, 611 N. Walnut, New Braunfels,  Texas, 78130. Mr. Hernandez
Merced M. Hernandez Jr., 52, of Skidmore died Thursday, Feb. 9, 2006, in a Houston hospital. Mr. Hernandez was born July 27, 1953, to Mercedes and Maclovia (Medina) Hernandez in Beeville. He married Belia Puentes on Dec. 7, 1991, in Skidmore.
Mr. Hernandez was a 1972 graduate of Skidmore-Tynan High School where he was involved in football. He was a Catholic and enjoyed outdoor cooking, fishing and telling stories. He was employed as a roughneck with Grey Wolf Drilling Co. in Houston for 10 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his wife, Belia (Puentes) Hernandez of Skidmore; a daughter, Ruby Ann Hernandez of Skidmore; a stepdaughter, Sandra (Joe) Vega of Beeville; a son, Mathew Hernandez of Skidmore; a stepson, Ernest (Christina) Guerra of Arlington; four sisters, Susana Perez of Wharton, Jacinta (Ysidro) Del Bosque and Elvira Hernandez, both of Beeville, and Loysa (Ruben) Salinas of Skidmore; and four grandchildren.
A rosary was recited Sunday at 7:30 p.m. at Treviño Funeral Home. The funeral Mass was celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Skidmore with Father Sebastian Vettath officiating. Burial followed in the Evergreen Cemetery in Skidmore.
Pallbearers were David Lara, Joe Vega, Ray Puentes, Robert Lara, Alden Southmayd and Charles Herzog.
Honorary pallbearers were Ernest Guerra, Joaquin Lara, Edward Suniga, Rene Salinas, Edward Del Bosque, Bobby Ray Del Bosque, Adam Levine and crew workers of Rig 312.

Mrs. Johnson
Helen May Johnson, 68, passed away on February 10, 2006. She was born in Kansas City, Missouri on June 7, 1937 to Gerald D. and Helen L. McDonald Wagner. In the year 1954 on December 21, she married William A. Johnson, Jr. Mrs.  Johnson retired after working for 17 years with the Beeville Independent School District serving as cafeteria manager at GMC elementary school. She enjoyed spending time with all her family and friends. Mrs.  Johnson was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend. Survivors include her husband of 51 years William A. Johnson, Jr. of Beeville,  Texas; her children Bill and Terrie  Johnson of Pensacola, Florida; Jim and Karen  Johnson of Beeville; and Mary Helen  Johnson Wilson and Bill of Bloomfield, New Mexico; 10 grandchildren: John, Angela, Carrie, Alvin, Robert, Jena, Elizabeth, Calvin, Billy, and Bryan; and 8 great grandchildren. Visitation was held Sunday, February 12, 2006 from 7:00 to 9:00 pm at Galloway & Sons Funeral Home. Ms. Treviño
Linda Treviño, 35, of Victoria, died Monday, Feb. 13, 2006. Ms. Trevino was born July 25, 1970, to David Perez and Maria (Medina) Treviño in Bee County. She resided in Victoria.
She was preceded in death by her father.
Survivors include her mother, Maria M. Treviño of Victoria; five aunts, Delia Garcia and Adelaida Treviño, both of Beeville, Naomi Treviño and Baudelia Naranjo, both of Corpus Christi, and Elena Gilchenan of Pasadena; and five uncles, Frank and Santos Medina of Beeville, Benjamin Treviño of Victoria and Ysaias and Isaac Treviño of Corpus Christi.
Visitation was held Tuesday from 3 to 9 p.m. at Angelus Funeral Home. Prayer service was held that evening at 7 o’clock at the same location. Graveside services were held at 10 a.m. today (Wednesday) at Del Bosque Cemetery in Normanna.

Mrs. Altmaier
Frances Luz Altmaier, 64, of Pearland and formally of Beeville, died on Sunday, May 14, 2006.
Mrs. Altmaier is survived by her husband, William John Altmaier of Pearland; children, William Jason Altmaier and Ruth Altmaier; two sisters, Lucy Martinez and Lupe Guerro; four brothers, Juan Almaraz, Bernardo Almaraz, Daniel Almaraz and Willie Almaraz; and numerous family and friends.
Visitation was held on Tuesday from 5 to 8 p.m. with a rosary recited at 7 p.m. in the chapel of Corl-Crowder funeral home. Funeral Mass was celebrated today (Wednesday) at 10:30 a.m. at St. Christopher Catholic Church. Additional services will be held in her hometown with visitation to be held on Thursday from 4 to 9 p.m. with a rosary recited at 7 p.m. at Trevino Funeral Home in Beeville. Funeral mass will be celebrated on Friday at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Beeville. Interment will follow at Beeville Memorial Park.

Mr. Barrera
Benito Barrera Sr., 62, of Karnes City, died on Saturday, May 13, 2006, at Corpus Christi Specialty Hospital.
Mr. Barrera was born on Dec. 10, 1943, in Falls City to Anita and Conrado Barrera. In 1965, he married Dora Salinas in Karnes City. Mr. Barrera worked in construction and at Looney’s Grocery Store in Karnes City. Mr. Barrera resided in Beeville for the last three years after moving from Karnes City, where he lived most of his life. He was a member of St. Cornelius Catholic Church.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Mr. Barrera is survived by his mother, Anita Guerra of San Antonio; his wife, Dora Salinas Barrera of Karnes City; two sons, Bobby (Jamie) Barrera of Temple and Benny Barrera Jr. of Karnes City; three daughters, Jo Ann (Rene) Cantu and Kathy Olivera, both of Karnes City, and Linda B. (Richard) Quiroga of Beeville; one brother, Esequiel Barrera of San Antonio; six sisters, Dora Barrera, Esther Barrera, Mary Ann Flannery, Esperanza Rodriguez and Delia Yglecias, all of San Antonio, and Lucy Cervantes of Victoria; five grandchildren and three step-grandchildren.
Rosary was recited Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. at Rhodes Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral Mass will be celebrated today (Wednesday) at 2 p.m. at St. Cornelius Catholic Church in Karnes City with Father Adam Kardys officiating. Interment will follow at Karnes City Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Dennis Bunjnoch, Larry Salinas, Rene Cantu, Eric Zamora, Raul Morales and Vicente Regalado.

Mrs. Castañeda
Norma Nunez Castañeda, 48, of Skidmore, died on Saturday, May 13, 2006, at Christus Spohn Shoreline Hospital in Corpus Christi.
Mrs. Castañeda was born on March 12, 1958, in Sinton to Maria Burciaga and Vicente Nunez. She graduated from Odem High School in 1976 and Bee County College in 1988. She married Alejandro Castañeda in June 1977 in Odem. Mrs. Castañeda worked for the  Texas Department of Criminal Justice as an administrative assistant II.
She is survived by her husband, Alejandro Castañeda of Skidmore; her mother, Maria Burciaga Nunez of Odem; one daughter, Casandra (Jose Elias) Zepeda of Surprise, Ariz.; two sons, Nicolas and Adrian Castañeda, both of Skidmore; one sister, Sylvia Nunez of Corpus Christi; three brothers, Robert (Gloria) Nunez and Vicente (Mary) Nunez Jr. , both of Corpus Christi, and David Nunez of Sugar Land; and two grandchildren, Jose Elias Zepeda III and Alyssa Renée Zepeda.
Rosary was recited at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Treviño Funeral Home in Beeville. Funeral Mass was celebrated at 10 a.m. today (Wednesday) at Immaculate Conception Church in Skidmore with Rev. Eddie Garcia officiating. Interment followed at Evergreen Cemetery in Skidmore.
Pallbearers were Samuel Castañeda, David Castañeda, Jose Luis Molina, Nathan Castañeda, Joshua Castañeda and Sebastian Nunez. Honorary pallbearers were Jacob and Justin Gomez, David Michael Nunez, Jonathan Nunez, Jose Elias Zepeda III and Elias Castañeda.

Mrs. Franke
Annie Rosebrock Franke, 97, of Pawnee, died on Sunday, May 14, 2006.
She was born in Live Oak County on Sept. 4, 1908, to Anna Emilie Beyer and Henry John Rosebrock. She was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church in Three Rivers and was a homemaker. She loved playing solitaire and dominoes and enjoyed crocheting.
Mrs. Franke was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Walter W. Franke; and her son, Marvin Walter Franke.
She is survived by one son, Waymond Franke of Kenedy; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Galloway & Sons Funeral Home in Three Rivers. Funeral services were held on Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Our Savior Lutheran Church in Three Rivers with Pastor Norman Sulaica Jr. officiating. Burial took place at Pawnee Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Randall Rosebrock, Kenneth Norton, Freddie Franke, Leonard Rosebrock, Allan Franke and Dewey Bellows.

Ms. Hinojosa
Elida Gonzales Hinojosa, 88, of Beeville, died on Monday, May 15, 2006, at Hacienda Oaks Nursing Home.
She was born on July 30, 1916, in Beeville to Paula Gonzales and Tomas Hinojosa. She was Catholic and a housekeeper.
She was preceded in death by three sisters, Julia Zambrano, Rosaura Velasquez and Baudelia Hinojosa; and two brothers, Oliverio and Tomas Hinojosa.
She is survived by her daughter, Maria (Thomas) Irish of Moreno Valley,  Calif., one sister, Carolina Benitez of Beeville; two grandchildren, Thomas and Patrick Irish; and several nieces and nephews.
Rosary will be recited tonight (Wednesday) at 7:30 p.m. at Treviño Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be held Thursday at 2:30 p.m. at St. James Catholic Church with the Rev. Balaswamy Pasala officiating. Burial will follow at San Pedro Cemetery in the Clareville community.
