Bonham - Funeral services for Gladyne Bolton, age 79, of Bonham will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, February 18, 2005 at Cooper-Sorrells Chapel in Bonham. Interment will follow Saturday at 2PM in Camp Ground Cemetery, Morrilton, Arkansas. Officiating will be Mr. Wally Fletcher. Mrs. Bolton passed away Monday, February 14, 2005 at Wilson N.  Jones Hospital in Sherman. She was born on August 14, 1925 in Hood County, TX., the daughter of the late Carroll Alexander & Jewell Lee Bills Fletcher. Married William Henry Bolton January 3, 1975 in Silver City, NM.

Survived by husband William Bolton of the home; son Patrick Masters & wife Jennifer of Ramstien, Germany; step daughter Kathy Hardy & husband Don of Bonham; stepson Doyle Beaubiene of Bonham; stepsons Bob Bolton, David Bolton, Allan Bolton; stepdaughter Carol Thompson; grandson Robbie Hooper; granddaughters Jeana & Shauna Masters & Colleen Lappin; great grandchildren Zach Lappin, Alexis Lappin, Madalyn Lappin & Connor Lappin. Preceded in death by husband Ervin Leon Masters.

Honorary Pallbearers will be the members of the Golden K's, of Bonham.

The family will receive friends from 6-8PM Thursday night at Cooper-Sorrells Funeral Home in Bonham.

Eiland Bowie

Bonham - Funeral services for Eiland Hunter Bowie, age 78, of Bonham,  Texas will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, March 3, 2005 at Cooper-Sorrells Chapel in Bonham,  Texas. Burial will follow at Willow Wild Cemetery in Bonham. Officiating will be Bro. Greg Smith. Mr. Bowie passed away Monday, February 28, 2005 at Medical City Hospital in Dallas,  Texas. He was born on October 7, 1926 in Monday,  Texas, the son of the late Clarence Nathan & Mattie Hulse Bowie.

He married Dollie Mae Sanders, February 2, 1947 in Honey Grove,  Texas. Mr. Bowie was in the U.S. Air Force. He was a Assistant Chief of Bonham Fire Dept. where he retired after 33 years of service. He was also an Electrician for 30 years & served on the Bonham City Council.

He is survived by his beloved wife Dollie Bowie of the home; son Travis Keith Bowie & wife Kathy of Alexandra, La; daughter Debra Kay Ulmer & husband Kurt of Bonham, TX.; daughter Marita Miller & husband Ray of Denison, TX.; grandchildren Jeffrey Paul Kyle, Stephanie Liebel, Brandt Hunter Ulmer, Sara Britt Ulmer, Tera Deann Butler, Leslie Michelle Bowie, & Lesha Katherine Bowie; 8 great grandchildren; sister Clara Estelle Lage of Horseshoe Bend, Arkansas; nieces & nephews and extended family members. Preceded in death by brothers Joe Robert Bowie & John Burke Bowie & sister Naomi Parham.

Pallbearers will be Jayson Liebel, Jarrett Munger, Brandt Ulmer, Bennie Bowie & W.T. Gilbert.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Landon Liebel.

The family will receive friends from 7-8PM Wednesday night at Cooper-Sorrells Funeral Home in Bonham.

Mr. Bowie was a loving and faithful servant of our Lord and Savior. He leaves the life only to start a new and abundant life in heaven. Not only was Eiland a husband, son, father, grandfather, and friend he was also a wonderful servant to the community. He showed us how to have strength in times of trouble. Always leaning on our Father Jesus Christ. He will be missed terribly.

Ellen Bennett

Bonham - Ellen Elizabeth Bennett, age 93, of Bonham, passed away Monday, August 22, 2005 at Seven Oaks Care Center in Bonham, TX. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM, Thursday, August 25, 2005 at Cooper-Sorrells Chapel in Bonham. Officiating will be Bro. Morgan Malone & Bro. Bill Beasley. Interment will follow in Willow Wild Cemetery.

She was born on October 13, 1911 in Palestine,  Texas the daughter of the late William Henry & Dolly Ann Hudson Smith. Married for 68 years to late husband William "Clyde" Bennett. Married on November 24, 1932 in Palestine. She was a seamstress & a member of the First Baptist Church in Bonham.

Survived by son Bill Bennett & wife Karen; son Terry Bennett & wife Dorothy Chansky; grandson Mike Bennett & wife Sarah; grandson Mark Bennett & wife Channon; granddaughter Amy Bennett & husband Eric Rau; great grandchildren Austin, Christopher, Matthew, Collin & Samantha Bennett.

Pallbearers will be Mike, Mark, Amy & Austin Bennett, Eric Rau & Bill Sanderson The family will receive friends 7-8pm Wednesday, August 24, 2005 at the Funeral Home.

Eric A. Burnett

Bonham - Funeral services for Mr. Eric A. Burnett, age 77, of Bonham,  Texas will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, September 16, 2005 at Boyd Baptist Church in Bonham. Officiating will be Rev. Lyn Holly & Rev. Bob Roe, interment will follow in Willow Wild Cemetery.

Mr. Burnett passed away Monday, September 12, 2005 at his residence in Bonham. He was born on March 29, 1928 in Albuquerque, New Mexico to John McDowell & Ruby Mae Lee Burnett. He married Lodema Frazier on Sept. 24, 1949 in Boyd Community. He was a member of Boyd Baptist Church where he served as Deacon. Retired after 15 years of employment from Lone Star Industries, a cement company, near Sweetwater, TX. where he was a Electrical Supervisor. He was also a Staff Sgt. in the U.S. Army Air Corp.

Survived by wife Lodema Frazier Burnett of the home; son David Burnett & wife Staci of Snyder, TX.; son Ronnie Burnett & wife Debbie of Athens, TX; grandchildren Mandy Jones, Jeff Burnett, Calvin Burnett, John Burnett & Teri Burnett; great grandchildren Tyson & Garrett Jones.

Pallbearers will be Mike Nelson, Jackie McFarland, Johnny Neal, Jimmy Kerr, Ronnie Coonrod & Wink Hamby. Honorary Pallbearers will be the David's Sunday School Class & the Deacons of the Boyd Baptist Church & Grandchildern. The family will receive friends from 7-8 PM Thursday, September 15, 2005 at Cooper-Sorrells in Bonham.

William Kirk Bell
Bonham – Funeral services for Mr. William Kirk Bell, age 40, of Bonham were held at 2:00 PM Saturday, October 29, 2005 at the Telephone Baptist Church. Officiating was Rev. Bill Thonton, interment followed in Forest Grove Cemetery in Telephone. Mr. Bell passed away Wednesday, October 26, 2005 at his residence. He was born on April 3, 1965 in Bonham the son of Jerry Bell and Sandra  Jackson Kirby. Mr. Bell was a Counselor at HCI of Denison, he was a Graduate of Bonham High School and received his Bachelor & Masters from University of  Texas Commerce.

He is survived by his Paternal Grand Parents – Bill & Lucille Bell of Hone Grove, TX. Mother & Step Father – Sandra and Bob Kirby of Bonham. Father & Step Mother – Jerry and Alice Bell of Bonham. Daughter – Chelsea Bell of Bonham. Brothers – Steve Bell & wife Robin of Kemp,  Oklahoma. Sam Kirby & wife Leigh of Garland. Tony Kirby & wife Kayla of Bonham. Bryan Bell of Las Vegas and Tony Turbyfill. Sisters – Diana Kirby & Partner Ruth Davis of Rockport,TX. Donna Barnett & husband Donald of Garland. Beatrice Burnett. Numerous Nieces and Nephews. Preceded in death by Rayburn & Helen Jackson.

Pallbeares were Steve Bell, Sam Kirby, Tony Kirby, Donald Barnett, Derek Barnett, Wes Hilliard and Duaine Bridges.

Cooper-Sorrells Funeral Home in Bonham was in charge of local arrangements.

James Luther (Junie) Ball

Bonham – Funeral services for Mr. James Luther (Junie) Ball, age 79, of Bonham will be held at 10:00 AM Thursday, November 17, 2005 at the Boyd Baptist Church. Officiating will be Rev. Irvy McKnight and Rev. Lyn Holly, interment will follow in Mulberry Cemetery.

Mr. Ball passed away Monday, November 14, 2005 at Northeast Medical Center in Bonham. He was born on January 26, 1916 in Ravenna, the son of the late Luther J. and Iona Parrish Cummins Ball. Mr. Ball was married to Barbara Baugh on December 8, 1951 in San Antonio, TX.. He retired from General Cable in August 1989 after 27 years service, he served in the U.S. Army during World War II as a Tech Sgt. and was a member of the Harvest Time Assembly of God in Sherman. He surrendered his life to Christ as a young man, and lived a joyous life of faithfulness, integrity and friendship to all. Mr. Ball was a good Husband, Father, Grandad and Great Grandad he will be missed by all.

He is survived by his wife – Barbara Ball of the home. Son – Ronnie Ball & wife Becky of Bonham. Daughter – Doris Kirk & husband Rickey of Bonham. Sister – Janice Hall of Bonham. Brother – Rev. Jack Ball of Durant, OK.. 6-Granddaughters, 1 Grandson and 15 Great Grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister – Alice French and brothers – Homer, Wesley and Leonard Ball.

Pallbearers will be Wade Self, John Bingham, Jeff Arie, Bobby Milburn, Matt Kirk and Caleb Self. Honorary Pallbearers Lloyd Venable, Jack Hall, Preston Gann, Bob Sanford, Bobby Howery, Floyd Carroll, Lloyd Carroll, R.C. Floyd and Lester Hall.

The family will receive friends from 7-8PM Wednesday night at Cooper-Sorrells Funeral Home in Bonham.

Birdie Jane Brewer

BONHAM,  Texas - Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday Jan. 4, 2006 for Birdie Jane Brewer, 86, at Allens Chapel Cemetery.

Mrs. Brewer passed away Jan. 2, 2006 at Northeast Medical Center in Bonham.

Dr. Gene Owen will officiate the service.

Mrs. Brewer is survived by her sons Jerry Fred Brewer and Joe Paul Brewer, both of Bohnam; daughters Treacie Hackey of Allens Chapel Community and Mary Stevenson of Bonham; 12 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

Family visitation will be from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Cooper-Sorrells Funeral Home in Bonham.

Arrangements are under the direction of Cooper Sorrells Funeral Home.

Travis Waid Box

Bonham - Travis Waid Box, age 33, passed away on Monday January 16, 2006 in Fannin County.

Services will be held at 10am on Thursday January 19, 2006 at First United Methodist Church in Bonham,  Texas. Rev. Tom Medley & Rev. Bob Walker will officiate. Burial will follow in Willow Wild Cemetery in Bonham. Arrangements have been entrusted to Cooper-Sorrells Funeral Home.

Travis was born October 29, 1972 in Wichita Falls,  Texas to Forrest (Butch) and Vicki Box. He graduated from Electra High School in 1991. He attended U.T. El Paso and Midwestern State University. He married Ginger Minge on June 1, 1996 in Electra, TX.

Travis worked for TDCJ- Choice Moore Unit in Bonham,  Texas from 1995 until September of 2005 at which time he then went to work for McCraw Oil Company in Bonham.

Pallbearers will be Kevin Smartt, Jon Richardson, Donavan Avery, Chris Flippo, Wayne Wilkerson, Chris Nelson. Honorary Pallbearers Kurt Lemon, Tony Box, Deral Box, Anthony Minge & Todd Box.

Travis is survived by his wife Ginger Box and their two children Rachel and Garrett Box of the home; mother Vicki McNeal of Oklaunion, Tx.; father Butch Box & wife Connie of Lake Havasu City, Az.; brother Todd Box & wife Tania; niece Kayce Box; grandparents Albert Jr. & Peggy Lowke of Oklaunion, Tx. & Madeline Box of Grandbury, Tx.; father & mother in-law Roe & Mary Minge of Bonham, TX.; brother in-law Anthony Minge of Spokane, WA.; aunts, uncles, cousins & numerous friends.

The family will receive friends at the family home of 604 Lusk in Bonham. Friends may also pay their condolence at Cooper-Sorrells Funeral Home. Memorials can be made at Bonham State Bank for Rachel & Garrett Box.

Veola Mildred Bryant

Bonham – Graveside services for Veola Mildred Bryant, age 99, of Bonham will be held at 1:00 PM Wednesday, January 18, 2006 at Arledge Ridge Cemetery. Officiating will be Rev. Houston Garner. Mrs. Bryant passed away Monday, January 16, 2006 at the Seven Oaks Care Center in Bonham. She was born on April 28, 1906 in Bailey,  Texas, the daughter of the late Emmett and Floy Wright Sudderth. Mrs. Bryant was married to Guy Hubert Bryant on April 4, 1926 in Bonham,  Texas. She was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith.

She is survived by a Daughter – Wanda Fulmer of Ector. Son – Bobby G. Bryant of Bonham and Emmett G. Bryant of Pittsburg, TX. . 7-Grandchildren and 2-Great Grandchildren. Sisters – Evelyn Hartwell of Edhube Community and Bonnie Bailey of Dallas. Brother – Wayne Sudderth of Florida. Several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, grandson – Shane Fulmer, 2 brothers and 2 sisters.

The family will receive friends from 12:00 to 12:45 pm at Cooper-Sorrells Funeral Home in Bonham prior to graveside.

P E Biggerstaff

Bonham - P E Biggerstaff , age 88, passed away on Monday January 16, 2006 at Northeast Medical Center in Bonham,  Texas.

Funeral services will be held at 10am on Friday January 20, 2006 at Northside Church of Christ in Bonham,  Texas where he was a lifetime member. Mr. Bert Ritchie and Mr. Carl Dye will officiate. Burial will follow in Willow Wild Cemetery. Arrangements are have been entrusted to Cooper-Sorrells Funeral Home in Bonham.

Mr. Biggerstaff was born May 5, 1917 in Randolph,  Texas to Ralph G. & Kate Elizabeth  Jones Biggerstaff. He married Juanita Cline on September 11, 1939 in Durant, Ok.

P E was instrumental in organizing the Industrial Foundation, a past director of Bonham Chamber of Commerce Regional Vice President of  Texas, Society of Farm and Landbrokers, past director of TAR. He built the first drive in grocery in Bonham in 1965. He organized the Fannin County Board of Realtors and was in the Real Estate business for over Forty years in Fannin County. Preceded in death by his wife Juanita Cline Biggerstaff of 61 years on April 3, 2000. He was the last of 3 brothers & 6 sisters.

Survivors include two daughters Brenda Lide & husband Dale, Myrna B. Malone; grandchildren Jeremy Malone & wife Morgan, Tiffany Malone & Tara Fitzwater; great grandchild Brayden Malone; & several nieces & nephews.

Pallbearers will be Jeremy Malone, Stan Baker, Richard Gopffarth, Jim Green, Steve Mohundro, Joe Carpenter, David Trout. Honorary Pallbearers will be Roy Paul Kemp, Patrick Farr, Kenneth Cox, Bobby Vaught, Clayton Victory, Ronnie Latimer, Howard Large, Mack Walker, Marshall Ashby.

The family will receive friends from 7-8:30pm Thursday January 19, 2006 at Cooper-Sorrells Funeral Home.
