Bonham - Memorial services for Myrtle L. Gary, age 84, of Bonham will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, May 1, 2005 at Cooper-Sorrells Chapel in Bonham. Officiating will be family members. Mrs. Gary passed away Sunday, April 24, 2005 in Selma, California. Per her request her body was donated for medical research.

She is survived by Daughters - Reinette Burk of Bonham; Michelle Vestal & husband Reed of Bonham and Suzanne Gaskin & husband Ray of Pottsboro. Son - Glen D. Gary & wife Tricia of Ardmore, OK.. 12-Grandchildren - Shannon & Trent Burk; Sarah Crittenden; Kelly & Kent Gaskin; Kasey & Jamie Vestal, Christie Vestal Scott & husband Matt; Lauren, Landon & Jordan Gary. Brothers - George Whitaker of San Gabriel, CA and James Whitaker of Longview, WA.. Sister - Georgia (Bunny) Steele of Selma, CA.. She was preceded in death by her husband - Glen Gary, Grandson - Adam Crittenden, Brother - William Whitaker, Sisters - Fleeta Barlow and Lois Whitaker.

The family request that memorials be made to Adam's Place - First United Methodist Church - 801 Star- Bonham, TX 75418.

Lucille Graham

Lamasco - Funeral services for Mrs. Lucille Gwendolyn Graham, age 86, of Lamasco will be held it 4:00 PM Tuesday, October 4, 2005 at Cooper-Sorrells Chapel in Bonham. Officiating will be Rev. Craig Vance, interment will follow in Lamasco Cemetery. Mrs. Graham passed away Saturday, October 1, 2005 in Mullican Nursing Home. She was born on March 24, 2005 in Cookville,  Texas, the daughter of the late Willie and Laura Smith Bell. Mrs. Graham married Robert Graham on April 6, 1963 in Arlington,  Texas. She was a homemaker.

She is survived by her husband - Robert Graham of Lamasco. Sons - Wendell Anderson of Lamasco and Larry Anderson & wife Hazel of Red Oak, TX.. Grandchildren - Tami Grigg & husband Barry of Bonham, Andy Anderson & Rose Plecker of Telephone and Lisa McClain & husband Herman of Red Oak, TX. Great Grandchildren - Brandi Patton & husband Cory of Ivanhoe, John Curry of Bonham, Heath McClain and Garrett McClain both of Red Oak, TX.. 3Great Great Granddaughters all of Ivanhoe. Brothers - Louis Bell & wife Nona of Mt. Pleasant, TX and Howard Bell & wife Joy of Lake Buchanan Dam, TX.. Sisters - Faye Alford & husband Bobby of Dangerfield, TX and Jean Chipman & husband Bill of Mead, OK.. Many nieces, nephews and friends.

Pallbearers will be John Winnett, Craig Myracle, Brian Hutchings, Jason Nichols, Joe Nichols and Tony Nichols. Honorary pallbearers Wayland Taylor, Jim Funderburk, Ronnie Goodwin, Clint Goodwin, Ron McKimey and Dave Geahalo.

The family will receives friends from 6-8PM Monday night at Cooper-Sorrells Funeral Home in Bonham.

Elizabeth Ann Green

Honey Grove,  Texas -- Memorial services for Elizabeth Ann Green, age 70, of Honey Grove will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 1, 2005 at Cooper-Sorrells Chapel in Bonham,  Texas. Bro. Jeff Young will officiate. Mrs. Green passed away Wednesday, September 21, 2005 at Honey Grove Nursing Home surrounded by her family.

She was born March 17, 1935 in Windom,  Texas to John Drew & Lassie Lee Sisco McCraw. She married Claude N. Green on April 3, 1951 in Bonham.

Elizabeth Ann Green is survived by son, Michael C. Green of Euless,  Texas; son, Danny Neal Green & wife April of Euless; son, Christopher "Chris" Neal Green & wife Kimberlee of Euless; grandchildren, Autumn, Ashley and Michea Green and Aaron & Nikki Green; great-grandson, Dorian; sister, Melba Crossland of Windom,  Texas; sister, Betty Reeves of Ravenna,  Texas; sister, Nita Mitchell of Irving,  Texas; sister, Lois Payne of Windom; and sister, Gail Splane of Grapevine,  Texas; plus numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Claude Green; and her brother, John T. McCraw.

She will be missed by all who loved her. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Parkinson or Alzheimers research.

Frances Ann Grundon

Bonham - Frances Ann Grundon , age 76, passed away on Tuesday January 24, 2006 at Northeast Medical Center in Bonham,  Texas.

Funeral services will be held at 2pm on Saturday January 28, 2006 at Cooper Sorrells Funeral Home Chapel in Bonham,  Texas. Wes Collier will officiate. Burial will follow in Willow Wild Cemetery.

Frances was born July 22, 1929 in Indianapolis, IN. to Frank & Ruth Gillespie Garinger. She married James Grundon on May 31, 1953 in Harrisburg,  Pennsylvania. Frances was a teachers aide at Willow Brook Middle School in Midwest City, Ok. & volunteered at Midwest City Hospital. She was a member of St. Marks Lutheran Church in Midwest City, Ok.

Survivors are husband James Grundon of Bonham, TX; daughter Stephanie Wood & husband Larry of Bonham, TX; daughter Patricia Stevens of Piano, Tx; son Edward Paul Grundon of Midwest City, Ok; sister Jean Cronk of Indianapolis, IN. grandchildren Brandy Stevens of Carrolton, TX., James Breland of Plano, TX. & Sarah Wood of Bonham; great grandchildren Cannon & Sean.

The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to services Saturday January 28, 2006 at Cooper-Sorrells Funeral Home.

David Russell Gantt

Three P – David Russell Gantt, age 67 was born on June 26, 1937 in Delta County,  Texas and he left this earth on March 4, 2006. He was the son of the late Russell and Emily Joe Davidson Gantt.

David was married to Oueda Dee Powell on January 17, 1959 in Rockwall,  Texas. They were married for 47 years, and together they raised three fine sons, Jim, Cliff and Phillip Gantt. He attended Bonham High School where he was a football hero. David continued that “hero” legacy in his daily life as a loyal employee of General Cable for 43 years, super-hero to his sons, friend and confidant to his sisters and their families, and surrogate “Dad” to his daughters-in-law, Tiffany Gantt and Cathy Gantt, whom proclaim never having met a finer man. He and Oueda loved to garden and surround themselves with their family.

David’s most joyous role in life was “Poppy” to six grandchildren that will never forget their Poppy’s lap, working with him with him in the shop, and riding on the tractor with him. David Gantt will always live in the lives he touched. He, like his garden bore fruit in every good work and leaves his family and friends with a legacy of God’s love, whom he represented so well.

David, when asked what the would like to say to everyone again reminds us of the deep love and concern he has for others by asking that everyone be reminded to be tested for colon cancer.

His family wants to thank the staff of Grayson County Home Hospice for the love and support they showed the entire family and the caring staff of Wilson N.  Jones Hospital.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM, Tuesday, March 7, 2006 at Cooper-Sorrells Chapel in Bonham. Officiating will be Rev Joe Smith, interment will follow in the Arledge Cemetery near Bonham.

He is survived by his wife – Oueda Gantt of the home. Sons – James (Jim) Gantt and his children Jennifer Elaine and James Michael Gantt of Bonham; Clifford (Cliff) Gantt and his wife Cathy and their children Austin David and Madison Rose Gantt of Humble, TX; and Phillip Gantt and his wife Tiffany and their children  Taylor Gabrielle and Emma Therese Gantt of Bonham. Sisters – Marjorie Harwell of Bonham and Marilyn Haynes and husband Blanton of Ravenna. Many nieces, nephews and friends. Uncles Rayford Gantt and wife Oleta of Longview and W.M. Davidson of California.

The family will received friends from 6-7PM Monday night at Cooper-Sorrells Funeral Home in Bonham.

Pallbearers will be Mark Walker, Eric Walker, Wayne Haynes, Gaylon Hamilton, Buddy Roberts and Mack London. .

Honorary Pallbearers will be Jerry Moore, Bill Dewoody, Willie Manning, Neal Campbell, J.C. McRae and Pat Porter.

Paul Ross Goostree

Bonham - Mr. Paul Ross Goostree, age 76, of Bonham passed away Saturday, March 11, 2006 at his residence. He was born on September 12, 1929 in Sayre,  Oklahoma, the son of the late Orville and Ethel Ina Turner Goostree. Mr. Goostree was married to Martha Goostree on February 14, 1973 in Denison,  Texas. He was a Pharmacist, served his country in the U.S. Air Force for 4 years and was a member of the Masonic Lodge.

He is survived by his wife - Martha Goostree of Bonham. Daughters - Linda Lester of Rowlett, TX and Diane Frankel & husband Mark of Chicago, Il.. Sons - Mike Fleming of Dallas; Randy Fleming & wife Jackie of Plano and Richard Fleming & wife Rhonda of Dallas, Tx.. Daughter-in-law - Lyne Fleming of Rowlett, Tx.. 11-Grandchildren and 4-Great Grandchildren.

In memory of Paul, contributions can be made to either: Happy Hill Farm, 3846 N. Hwy. 144, Granbury,  Texas 76048 or Scottish Rite, 2222 Welborn St., Dallas,  Texas 75219.

KADEN MICHAEL LEE IVINS
ECTOR - Chapel services for Kaden Michael Lee Ivins, 14 day old infant son of Amanda Sue Alford will be held at 3:00PM Thursday, August 26, 2004 at Cooper Sorrells Funeral Home. Officiating will be Rev. Bob Bryan and Rev. John Plumlee. Kaden passed away Sunday, August 22, 2004 at Baylor Hospital in Dallas. He was born on August 8, 2004 in Baylor Hospital - Dallas.

He is survived by his Mother - Amanda Sue Alford of Ector; Grandparents - Lee & Rhonda Ivins of Ector; Great Grandparents - Mike & Peggy Stephens of Ector and Otis & Rosemary Ivins of Burneyville, OK.. Great Great Grandparents - Paul & Doris Evans of Ector and Elizabeth Croft of San Antonio, TX.. Aunts- Heather, Brittany and Elizabeth Ivins all of Ector. Great Uncles and Aunts.

Pallbearers will be Mark Stephens and Michael Stephens, Jr. . Honorary pallbearers will be Dave Tibbits and Jeff Jackson.

The family will receive friends from 7-8PM Wednesday night at Cooper-Sorrells Funeral Home.

REETA KAYE JONES

HONEY GROVE - Funeral services for Mrs. Reeta Kaye Jones, age 56, will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, September 29, 2004 at Cooper-Sorrells Chapel in Honey Grove. Interment will follow in Oakwood Cemetery, officiating will be Rev. Terry Paul Cunningham. Mrs.  Jones passed away Saturday, September 25, 2004 at Paris Regional Medical Center. She was born on November 8, 1947, in Kaufman,  Texas the daughter of the late Thelbert Jake and Alice Margarite James Banks. Mrs.  Jones was married to J.C.  Jones on December 20, 1988 in Bonham,  Texas, She was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith.

She is survived by Husband - J.C.  Jones of the home. Son - Brandon  Jones (USN) - Hawaii. Step-Children - Debbie Clayton of Oakridge Community; Randy  Jones of Self's Community and Tammy  Jones of Honey Grove. Brother - Thelbert Ray Banks of Bonham. Step-Grandson - Jeremy  Jones of the home. Numerous nieces and nephews and many friends. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by Sisters - Alice Ann Flories, Linda Darnell Mullins, and Lena Faye McGee. Step-daughter - Rita Ann Jones.

Pallbearers will be Kenny Aldridge, Jeremy Jones, Doug Hickman, Chase Hickman, Brad Snell, Ricky Snell, Ed Pickard and Bryan Maynard. The family will receive friends from 7-8PM Tuesday night at Cooper-Sorrells Funeral Home Honey Grove.

Nina Pearl Johnson

Bonham, TX. - Nina Pearl Johnson, age 85, of Bonham, TX. passed away Monday, December 6, 2004 at Northeast Medical Center in Bonham, TX. Services will be held at 3:00pm Friday, December 10, 2004 at Cooper-Sorrells Chapel in Bonham, TX.. Rev. James Henry will officiate. Eulogy will be given by Mr. Harold Stroud.

She was born on October 13, 1919 in Union Valley, Edhube Community, TX to Jesse & Lucy Farmer Young. She married Jewel  Johnson in Edhube Community on December 12,1940. She owned & operated Nina's Beauty Salon in Bonham, TX. She was the longest active member of the Edhube Baptist Church, since 1919, 85 years.

Burial will follow at Arledge Ridge Cemetery in Bonham,

Pallbearers will be Willard Cramer Johnson, James Ray Johnson, Kenny Johnson, Jerry Johnson, Gordon Cathey & Craig Cathey. Honorary Pallbearers will be Robert Dodson, Gary Naramor & Thomas E. Johnson.

Survived by son Keith  Johnson & wife Mary of Flower Mound, TX.; daughter Regeana Tomlinson & husband Joe of Bonham, TX.; grandchildren Leticia & Gary Naramor of Durant, Ok., Rochell & Robert Dodson of Bonham, TX., Aimee Molina of Los Angeles, CA., 7 great grandchildren Mara, Chris, Matt, A.J., Kenieth, Shelby & Jewell. Preceded in death by parents, & husband Jewel Johnson.

Family will received friends Thursday December 9, 2004 from 6-7:30pm at Cooper Sorrells Funeral Home in Bonham, TX.

Lunch reception for family & friends will be at Edhube Baptist Church at 12 noon on Friday December 10.

Clayton Jim Jackson

Bonham - Funeral services for Clayton Jim Jackson, age 3, of Bonham will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, December 23, 2004 at Cooper-Sorrells Funeral Home in Bonham. Officiating will be Rev. Jeff  Johnson and Rev. Willie Johnson, interment will follow in Willow Wild Cemetery in Bonham. Clayton passed away Sunday, December 19, 2004 at his residence. He was born on January 28, 2001 in Sherman, the son of Christopher Jim and Shannon Nicole Henderson Jackson.

He is survived by his Parents - Chris and Shannon  Jackson of Bonham. Sister - Aubrey Nicole Carpenter of Bonham. Brother - Christopher Gage  Jackson of Bonham. Grandparents - Deborah  Jackson & J.R. Rhodes, Kenneth & Linda  Jackson and Jim & Pat Pickering. Great Grandparents - Martha McCallum, Jimmy & Marion McAdams, Ben & Joyce Pickering and Lee Jackson. Great Great Grandparents - Carrie Dee Hooper, Margaret Priddy and Granny Tommie. Many Uncles, Aunts and Cousins.

The family will receive friends from 6-8PM Wednesday night at Cooper-Sorrells Funeral Home in Bonham. Donations may be made to the American Bank of  Texas for the Chris  Jackson Family.

Alfred Jung - Bonham

Alfred Max Jung Jr.. age 66, of Bonham passed away Monday July 18, 2005 at Wilson N.  Jones Hospital in Sherman,  Texas. Graveside services will be held at 2pm Wednesday, July 20, 2005 at Willow Wild Cemetery in Bonham. Rev. Jeff  Johnson will officiate.

Mr. Jung was born April 10, 1939 in Sisterdale,  Texas to Alfred & Lydia Teschner Jung. He married Katheleen Farrell Jung in Weatherford, TX. on May 12, 1978. He was a member of the 7th & Main Baptist Church in Bonham. He served in the U.S. Army. He was retired from Collin County as a Equipment Operator. Survivors are wife Katheleen Farrell Jung of the home; son Ricky Jung of Blue Ridge, TX.; daughter Theresa Marie Guevara of Sadler, TX.; daughter Yvonne Frances Jung of Van Alstyne, TX; step daughter Vicki Chadwick of San Antonio, TX.; step son Burt Chadwick of San Antonio, TX.; 5 grandchildren; sister Ellie Buchholz of Southport, Florida; brother Harry Jung of Fredericksburg, TX. Family will receive friends from 12:30pm until service time at Cooper- Sorrells Funeral Home in Bonham,  Texas prior to the service.

Rosie Johnson

Denison - Graveside services for Rosie Johnson, age 69, of Denison will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, October 12, 2005 at Bethel Cemetery near  Whitewright. Mrs.  Johnson passed away Saturday, October 8, 2005 at Texoma Medical Center in Denison. She was born on May 8, 1936 in Gober,  Texas the daughter of the late Joseph and Lindie  Jones Norman. Mrs.  Johnson was married to Billy Lee  Johnson on May 21, 1962 in Altus,  Oklahoma, he preceded her in death on February 15, 1987. She was a Dietician.

She is survived by a Son - Rickey Owen of Bells, 2-Grandchildren, and Brother - Jake Norman of Sherman.

The family will receive friends from 6-7 PM Tuesday night at Cooper-Sorrells Funeral Home in Bonham.
