Tom Edward Summerlin

Tom Edward Summerlin, age 94, of Bonham,  Texas passed away February 6, 2006 at Seven Oaks Care Center in Bonham. Chapel services will be at 10:00 AM, Thursday, February 9, 2006 at Cooper-Sorrells Chapel in Bonham. Interment will follow in Willow Wild Cemetery in Bonham, officiating will be Rev. Rick Schulze. He was born on January 8, 1912 in Titus County,  Texas, the son of the late Bascum Daniel & Louis Grissom Summerlin. Tom was married to Pauline Pharr on December 4,1929 in Bonham,  Texas. She preceded him in death in May, 2000. He was a retired engineer for  Texas Tech.

He is survived by daughter Jimmie Ferguson & husband Floyd of Gainsville, TX; daughter Tommie Haden of Ennis, TX.; daughter Gwendolyn Bush & husband John of Denison, TX.; 8 Grandchildren, 17 Great Grandchildren & 21 Great Great Grandchildren & good friend Lois McHam.

Preceded in death by parents, spouse, 4 brothers, daughter Jane Copelin, son in law Ewell Copelin & granddaughter Stephanie Bush Acord.

Pallbearers will be Terry Evans; Steve Campbell, Duglas Haden, David Ferguson, Stephen Davidson & Eddie Copelin. Honorary Pallbearers will be Anther Callwell, George Charles, George Kurpa, Ed Crawford, Harrison Luke & Royce Shipman. The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 8:30 PM Wednesday night at CooperSorrells Funeral Home in Bonham.

Flora Smith

Graveside services for Flora Smith, age 74, of Bonham,  Texas will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday February 25, 2006 at Gum Springs Cemetery in Carson Community. Rev. James Holt will officiate. Mrs. Smith passed away Wednesday February 22, 2006 at Wilson N.  Jones Hospital in Sherman,  Texas.

Flora was born on June 7, 1931 in Truscott, TX., the daughter of George  Washington & Annie Agness Athens Griffith. Mrs. Smith was married to Ray D. Smith on April 16, 1960 in Quanah, TX, he preceded her in death on August 25, 2001.

She is survived by sons Bobby  Jones of Vernon, TX., Kenneth Ray Smith of Randolph, TX. and William Lewis Smith of Ector, TX.. Daughters Mary Norman of Colorado Springs, Co., Debbie Holt of Randolph, TX., Wanda Smith of Sherman, TX. and Alana Hurst of Cedar Hill, TX.. 23 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. Brothers J.T. Griffith and Kenneth Griffith both of Quanah, TX.. Sisters Francis  Jones and Ora Chumley both of Vernon, TX.

Family will receive friends at Cooper-Sorrells Funeral Home from 7-8pm Friday night.

Jeanette Carol Smith

Bonham - Funeral services for Jeanette Carol Smith, age 54, of Bonham will be held at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, March 29, 2006 at New Zion Baptist Church. Officiating will be Bro. Eddie Frazier, interment will follow in Carson Cemetery near Ector. Miss. Smith passed away Sunday, March 26, 2006 at the Medical Center of McKinney. She was born on January 31, 1952 in Mesa, Arizona, the daughter of Flora Inez Crow Smith and Bobby Jack Smith. Miss. Smith was a member of the New Zion Baptist Church.

She is survived by her Mother - Flora Smith of Bonham. Father - Bobby Jack Smith of Ector. Sisters - Joyce Sanderson & husband Mark of McKinney and Jacinda Lewis & husband Speedy of Ravenna. Nieces and Nephews - Tina Campbell, Burney Roberts, Amy Deaton, Matthew Polk, Alora Lewis and Alex Lewis.

Pallbearers will be Speedy Lewis, Matthew Polk, Mark Sanderson, Blake Blevins, Josh Deaton and John Polk.

The family will received friends from 7-8PM Tuesday night at Cooper-Sorrells Funeral Home in Bonham.

Dorothy Trapp

Bonham - Graveside services for Mr. Dorothy Louise Trapp, age 75, will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, April 23, 2005 at the Willow Wild Cemetery in Bonham. Officiating will be Bro. Roy Martin. Mrs. Trapp passed away at her residence Wednesday, April 20, 2005. She was born on May 3, 1929 in Gober,  Texas, the daughter of the late Albert & Willie Belle Victory Turman . Dorothy married Harvey Ray Trapp on May 13, 1948 in Bonham, he preceded her in death on September 4, 1991.

Mrs. Trapp was a retired machine operator for the General Cable. She was a very loving and devoted wife and mother, her life was spent loving and caring for her children and their families. She was a friend to all who knew her.

She is survived by 2 Sons - Robert Trapp & wife Bonnie of Sherman, TX., Billy Trapp & wife Kim of Schertz, TX.; grandchildren Brian Trapp & Jaime Walker; brother Billy Turman of Southmayd, TX.; numerous nieces & nephews. Preceded in death by 4 brothers & 2 sisters.

The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 8:00 PM Friday April 22, 2005 at Cooper-Sorrells Funeral Home in Bonham.

I cannot thank you as I would for all you've done for me. I cannot find the words I should to tell you fittingly. Your kindliness has meant so much that only One I know can e'er repay a service such as this one here below. Therefore to Him I delegate what I cannot express may God repay you- early, late for all your kindliness.

James `Russ' Tolliver

HONEY GROVE - Graveside services for James Otis "Russ" Tolliver, 78-year-old Honey Grove resident, will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Dallas-Ft. Worth National Cemetery with Ken Womack officiating. Mr. Tolliver died Thursday, Sept. 8 2005, at the Honey Grove Nursing Center.

Surviving are his stepmother, Wilcie Tolliver of Roff, Okla.; brothers, Paul Tolliver of Honey Grove, Bob Tolliver and Dub Tolliver, both of Roff; and sister, Carol Stewart of Roff.

Cooper-Sorrells Funeral Home of Honey Grove has charge of arrangements.

Ruby Estelle Thornton

Bonham - Funeral services for Mrs. Ruby Estelle Thornton, age 95, will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, January 2, 2006 at Telephone Baptist Church, officiating will be Rev. Don Gallatin. Interment will be held at 2:OOPM Wednesday, January 4, 2006 at Earthman's Cemetery near Houston, officiating will be Rev. Bob Berry. Mrs. Thornton passed away Saturday, December 31, 2005 at Seven Oaks Care Center in Bonham. She was born on December 3, 1910 in Groveton,  Texas, the daughter of the late Louis and Lonie Long Bell. Mrs. Thornton was married to Archie Thornton on May 7, 1927 in Groveton,  Texas, he preceded her in death on June 18, 1958. She was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith.

Surviving are her Sons - Bill Thornton & wife Alta and Lloyd Thornton & wife Cornelia all of Telephone, and Donald Thornton & wife Dorothy of Deer Park, TX.. Daughters - Melba Bammel of Magnolia, TX and Doris Hays & husband Bob of Coldsprings, TX.. Daughter-in-law - Phyllis Thornton of Mesquite, TX .. 13 Grandchildren, 27 Great Grandchildren and 1-Great Great Grandchild. She was preceded in death by husband and son Hurbert Thornton

Susie Throneberry

Telephone - Funeral services for Mrs. Susie Throneberry, age 75, will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, February 3, 2006 at Cooper Sorrells Chapel in Bonham.

Officiating will be Rev. Don Gallitin and Rev. Kevin Lane, interment will follow in Forest Grove Cemetery. Mrs. Throneberry passed away Wednesday, February 1, 2006 at her residence. She was born on September 29, 1930 in Fannin County,  Texas, the daughter of the late John and Cora Patton. Mrs. Throneberry was married to Robert Louis Throneberry on December 18, 1952 in Dallas,  Texas, he preceded her in death on May 25, 2001. She was a nurse at Baylor Hospital for 35 years.

She is survived by his Son - Jerry Throneberry of Telephone. Grandsons - Jake Louis Throneberry and Jessie Lynn Throneberry both of Telephone.

The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 8:30 PM Thursday night at Cooper­Sorrells Funeral Home in Bonham. Interment will follow in Forest Grove Cemetery. Glen Winkler, age 79, passed away June 24th , 2004 at Texoma Medical Center in Denison, TX.. Graveside services will be held at Willow Wild Cemetery on Saturday June 26th at 10:00a.m.. Rev. Norm Melton will officiate. Glen loved to restore old radios and had many friends. Cooper-Sorrells Funeral Home in Bonham are in charge of arrangements.

Robert Wayne Winkler

Robert Wayne Winkler was the eldest of five children born to Den and Virgie Winder. His siblings are Glenda Faye Alegria, her husband Jerry; Linda Kay Cross, her husband Donald, Elizabeth Sue Jewitt, her husband Clifford, Donald Winkler and his wife, Barbara. Robert was born on January 13, 1938 in Ravenna,  Texas. On July 16, 2004, while in Texoma Medical Center, Denison, Robert peacefully passed from this life to be with his Savior, his parents and other loved ones. He was surrounded by his family and many of his friends.

A celebration of Robert's life will be held at 11:00 Monday, July 19, 2004 at Cooper-Smells Funeral Home, Bonham,  Texas. Officiating will be Reverend Albert Harrod, joined by Reverend Carol Manning.

Family will receive friends between 10-11am prior to the service.

Pallbearers will be James Harrod, Jason Harbour, Ken Hales, Louis Wall, David Harrod.

Honorary Pallbearer Victor Ratliff. Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery, Ravenna,  Texas.

Robert leaves many friends and loved ones who will remember his loving nature and wonderful smile. He enjoyed meeting people, always remembering their name. He will be sorely missed by all who knew him.

Cotton Center Community - Services for Neal Williams, age 76, of Cotton Center community passed away Wednesday, August 18, 2004, will be held at the Northside Church of Christ, Bonham, at 10 a.m., Friday August 20, 2004. Mr. Carl Dye, minister, will be officiating. Interment in Gober cemetery .

Mr. Williams was born March 6, 1928 in Gober, TX.. The son of T.H. and Stella Williams. He married Dorotha Overstreet Williams on Jan. 28, 1949. He farmed all his life and that's what he loved.

Pallbearers will be Lonnie Brownlee of Denison, Keith Miller of Sherman, Laron Shepherd of Bonham, Neal  Taylor of Bonham, Johnny Hilliard of Bonham, Frank Morris of Gober. Honorary Pallbearers will be Elders and Deacons of Northside. Survivors are wife Dorotha "Dottie"; son Larry Neal and wife Elizabeth; grandchildren Wendy, Joshua Neal, Michael and Sherry all of Fairfield, TX.; sisters Wana Miller of Trenton, TX., Helen Brownlee of St. Petersburg, Fla.; brother in law Curly Clements of Bonham; two nephews; two nieces; aunt Burma Eads of Dallas TX.; aunt Lena  Jones of Denison, TX.; uncle Denver Boren of  Oklahoma.

Mr. Williams is at rest now, after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Memorials may be made to the Northside Church of Christ.

Arrangements are under the direction of Cooper-Sorrells Funeral Home in Bonham, TX.

Bonham, TX. - Thomas Boyd  White, age 71, of Bonham, passed away Thursday, August 26, 2004.

Thomas was born on December 29, 1932 to Tandy Boyd & Ivy  White in Paris TX..

Survived by son Samuel  White of Denison; daughter Virginia Ensey fo Chimayo, NM.; grandchildren Shannon Vigil, Shawn Ensey, Samuel Scottwhite, & Joshua Michael  White; great- grandchildren Kiera Ensey, Matthew  White, Autumn  White & Emily  White; former spouse Betty Doris Stamm.

Memorial service will be held at a later date.

Arrangements are under the direction of Cooper-Sorrells Funeral Home in Bonham, TX
