Arthur Wayne Wishard

Arthur Wayne Wishard of Honey Grove, TX., age 89, passed away Tuesday Dec. 14, 2004 at Dubuis Hospital in Paris,  Texas. Services will be held at Oak Ridge church of Christ in the Oak Ridge Community on Friday Dec. 17, 2004 at 10:00A.M.. Bro. Joe Wishard will officiate. Burial will follow at the Oak Ridge Cemetery.

Mr. Wishard was born in Fannin County in  Texas to Arthur Abram & Hazy Agnes Hulsey Wishard on March 13, 1915, he married Cora Sue  Woods on Sept. 30, 1934 in Windom, TX. She preceded him in death on Dec. 25, 2003. Mr. Wishard was a farmer & a member of the Oak Ridge church of Christ.

Pallbearers will be 7- Grandsons, Lynn Luttrell, Mike Luttrell, Keith Luttrell, Kevin Wishard, Kris Wishard, Alan Wishard & Jeff Wishard, also Mr. Robert Wayne Milton will serve as a pallbearer. Survivors are Son: Bill Wishard & wife Helen of North Richland Hills, TX.; Son: Larry Wishard & wife Sheila of Centennial, CO.; Daughter: Hazanne & husband Bill Luttrell of Abilene, TX.. along with the 7 grandsons are 3 Grand Daughters, Amy Goggins, Suzanne Barrow, & Shannon Luttrell; & 20 Great Grandchildren, Daughter in Law: Gene Wishard of Greenville, TX., Sister. Johnnie Fink of Ladonia, TX, & Sister in Law: Doodie Phillips of Southlake, TX.

Along with his wife he was preceded in death by his parents, a son, Arthur Reed Wishard & Grand Daughter Gena Wishard.

The family will receive friends Thursday Dec. 16, 2004 from 6:30 to 8.OOP.M. at the Oak Ridge church of Christ.

Arrangements will be under the direction of Cooper-Sorrells Funeral Home of Honey Grove, TX.

Clifford Lee Warren

Clifford Lee Warren was born in Ivanhoe,  Texas on September 20, 1922 and died in Bonham,  Texas on December 16, 2004. He grew up on the home place on the Red River near Ivanhoe.

At the age of sixteen, Clifford (Pat) left home and joined the Civilian Conservation Corp. He then sailed in the Caribbean with the Merchant Marines for eight months before joining the Army in 1942. Pat went to Europe on D-Day plus 3 with the Army Air Corp, serving in a repair and reclamation unit as a P-51 prop specialist. He saw duty in Normandy, Northern France, the Rhineland and Central Europe before returning home and leaving military service in 1945. He received a Good Conduct Medal, three Overseas Service Bars and an EAME Campaign Medal with four bronze stars.

Pat married Clara Ruth Epley on December 23, 1945. In the process of raising their three sons, Michael O'Shea, Patrick Anthony and Kelley Baker, Pat farmed and later barbered at several locations in Bonham. These included the Northside Barber Shop, the Basement Barber Shop and the Westside Barber Shop. He owned the Image Stylists from 1974 until his retirement in 2002. Pat and Ruth also owned and operated a grocery store on East Sam Rayburn Drive for twelve years. He served one term as a city councilman and was a long-time member of the 1St United Methodist Church in Bonham. He served on various boards and taught Sunday School.

In addition to his three sons, Pat is survived by a brother, J. P. Warren, a sister, Thelma Smith, three daughters-in-law, Millynn Warren, Lou Ann Warren and Judy Warren, seven grandchildren, Rachael Warren, Rebekah Moss, Jared Warren, Nicholas Warren, Lori Warren, Lorna Goldsmith and Michael Warren, and by one great-grandchild, Elanor Goldsmith.

Family night will be at Cooper-Sorrells Funeral Home in Bonham, Friday night, December 17, from 6:00-8:00 p.m. The service will be at the 1ST United Methodist Church in Bonham on Saturday, December 18, at 2:00 p.m. with burial to follow at New Hope Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Jimmy Bethel, Mark Fryman, Kenneth Myers, Gary Claxton, Larry Moss, & Jay Sims.

Jerry Don Wren

Bonham - Graveside services for Mr. Jerry Don Wren, age 69, of Bonham were held at 10:00 AM Thursday morning at Forest Grove Cemetery in Telephone. Officiating were Chaplain Gene Owen and Rev. Grady Cashion. Mr. Wren passed away Monday, May 2, 2005 at the Dallas VA. Medical Center. He was born on March 5, 1936 in Durant, OK., the son of the late Lee Elton and Hazel Maurine McCraw Wren. Mr. Wren was a farmer and of the Baptist faith, he loved hunting & fishing. He served in the U.S. Army Air Force.

He is survived by his Daughter - Michellee Wren of Denison, TX.. Son - David Wren of Amarillo, TX.. Sisters - Laura Hughes of Blooming Grove, TX. and Jean Buckner of Bonham. 2-Grandsons and 1-Great Grandson. Several nieces and nephews.

Services were under the direction of Cooper-Sorrells Funeral Home in Bonham.

Andrea Wix Wilhelm

BONHAM - Chapel service for Andrea Wix Wilhelm, 40, of Bonham, will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, June 20, 2005 at Cooper-Sorrells Chapel. Adam Baker and Bret Castle will officiate. She died on Thursday, June 16, 2005 at Texoma Medical Center in Denison.

Burial will be in Willow Wild Cemetery in Bonham. Cooper-Sorrells Funeral Home of Bonham is in charge of arrangements.

Family visitation will be held Sunday, June 19, 7-9 p.m.

Survivors are two daughters, Jessica Wilhelm of Denison and Crystal Wilhelm of Savoy; a son, Willie Wilhelm of Bonham; father, Claude Wix of Bonham; brother, Bryan Wix of Bonham and a sister, Kim Hagerty of Bonham.

Elaine Nichols Whisenhunt

Windom - Funeral services for Mrs. Elaine Nichols Whisenhunt, age 55, of Windom,  Texas will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, September 15, 2005 at Cooper Sorrells Chapel in Bonham. Officiating will be Rev. Terry P. Cunningham & Rev. Dave Cash, interment will follow in Windom Cemetery.

Mrs. Whisenhunt passed away Sunday, September 12, 2005 at Wilson N.  Jones Medical Center in Sherman. She was born on May 11, 1950 in Bonham,  Texas to John D. & Jean Nichols of Windom. She was a member of the Windom Baptist Church.

Survived by father & mother John D. & Jean Nichols of Windom, TX.; son Keith Daniels of Windom, TX.; son Chad Whisenhunt & wife Amy of Bonham, TX.; grandchildren Dylan Daniels, Lexi, Jake & Parker Whisenhunt.

Pallbearers will be James Nichols, Tommy Nichols, Ted Lane, Stanley Raper, Michael Orr, & David Orr. Honorary Pallbearers will be Thump Witcher, Francis Moran, Walter Don Brown, & Robert Joe Vandergriff.

The family will receive friends from 7-8 PM Wednesday, September 14, 2005 at Cooper-Sorrells in Bonham.

Olen Eldred Williams

BONHAM - Funeral services for Mr. Olen Eldred Williams, age 65, of Bonham will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, September 13, 2005 at Cooper-Sorrells Funeral Home in Bonham. Officiating will be the Rev. Tom Medley and family to give Eulogy, interment will follow in Willow Wild Cemetery. Mr. Williams passed away Friday, September 9, 2005 at Northeast Medical Center in Bonham. He was born on October 22, 1939 in Anton,  Texas, the son of the late Lemuel G. and Iva Ophelia Haygood Williams.

Mr. Williams was married to Myrtis Brenek Williams on January 7, 1961 in Portales, New Mexico. He was a Home Builder and of the Methodist faith. Mr. Williams was a member of the Grayson County Home Builders Association for 10 years and served on the board of directors for 10 years and was President in 1994, he was a member of the Top of  Texas Home Builders for three years and was a bricklayer for many years.

He is survived by his wife, Myrtis Williams of the home. Children, Preston Williams, Sandra Lankford and husband, Donnie and Kirt Williams and wife, Deborah; grandchildren, Lori and husband, Nathan, Josh Kassie, Ashley, Jared, Heather, Amber, Kayla, Heath, Erica, Kristina and Hope; one great-grandson, Colby; brothers, Oneal Williams and wife, Loveller of Hereford, Alfred Williams and wife, Mildred of Windom; sisters, Maudene  Whiteside and husband, Grady of Odessa and Darlene Banks and husband Lloyd of Portales, New Mexico. He was preceded in death by his sister, Ina Electa Bishop, brothers, Donald Williams and Atlas Williams.

Pallbearers will be, Josh Williams, Jared Lankford, Keith Williams, Nathan Casstevens, Junior Williams, Heath Williams and Duran Bishop.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Monday night at Cooper-Sorrells Funeral Home in Bonham.

Woodrow Wayne Wilson

Woodrow Wayne Wilson, age 88, of Randolph, TX. , passed away Thursday, November 10, 2005 at Texoma Medical Center in Denison, TX. Services will be held at 2PM Saturday, November 12, 2005 at Cooper-Sorrells Funeral Home Chapel in Bonham. Bro. David Brackett and Dr. Randy McBroom will officiate. Burial will be in Randolph-Lindsey Cemetery.

Mr. Wilson was born December 31,1916 to James Paschal Wilson Sr. and Effie Sanders Wilson in Fannin County, TX. He married Ruby Nell Tarpley on December 9, 1950 in Savoy, TX. He served in the U.S. Army from Jan. 1942- Dec. 1946. Wounded in the Battle of the Boulge. He attended school in Randolph and Trenton. Mr. Wilson was of Methodist faith and he loved to fish and travel with friends on RV. trips and campouts.

Survived by wife Ruby Wilson of Randolph, TX., step brother Lloyd Wilson of Noble,  Oklahoma; nephew Lyndal Crawford of Euless, TX.; nieces Sue Brackett of Randolph, TX. And Almma Howard of Noble, Ok.; sister in law Rheba Wilson of Bryan, TX.

Preceded in death by brothers J.P. Wilson Jr. and Ardean Wilson; sister Mary Jo Crawford and brother in law Wade Crawford.

Pallbearers will be Lester Ownby, Eugene Blackerby, Grady Giddiens, Rodger Polly, Randy  Taylor and Charles Williams. Honorary Pallbearers will be the Men of the First Baptist Church, Randolph.

Family will receive friends 1 hour prior to service, Saturday November 12, 2005 at the Funeral Home

Pauline Jewell Waterman

HONEY GROVE - Funeral services for Pauline Jewell Waterman, 96, will be held at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday in Cooper-Sorrells Funeral Home with the Rev. Terry Paul Cunningham and Mr. Alan “Rocky” Ford officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Honey Grove. She died Saturday, Dec. 31, 2005 in Presbyterian Hospital, Dallas.

Surviving are her son and daughter-in-law, Marlow and Doris Williams of Honey Grove.

Visitation will be at 1:30 p.m. with service time on January 3, 2006.

Arrangements are under the direction of Cooper-Sorrells Funeral Home.

Bonnie Orlene Willingham

Bonham - Funeral services for Mrs. Bonnie Orlene Willingham, age 94 will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, January 23, 2006 at Cooper-Sorrells Funeral Home in Bonham. Officiating will be Rev. Bob Posey and Rev. Rick Shulze, interment will follow in Willow Wild Cemetery in Bonham. Mrs. Willingham passed away early Saturday morning, January 21, 2006 at Texoma Medical Center in Denison. She was born on September 30, 1911 in Red River County,  Texas, the daughter of the late John T. and Lizzie Thacker Metts. Mrs. Willingham was married to Charlie Willingham on October 10, 1926, in Anona,  Texas, he preceded her in death on November 22, 1978.

She was a homemaker and a longtime member of Trinity Baptist Church in Bonham.

She is survived by her Daughters - Dorothy McCarley & husband Herman of Bonham, Elizabeth Clark & husband Andrew of Quitman and Marie Curry & husband Curtis of Bonham. Daughter-in-law - Ann Willingham of Odessa, TX.. 18-Grandchildren, 45 - Great Grandchildren and 39 - Great Great Grandchildren. Several Nieces and Nephews. In addition the her parents and husband she was preceded in death by her daughter - Virginia Banke, son - James Ray Willingham and daughter - Patricia Ann Willingham, nine brothers and sisters.

Pallbearers will be John Willingham, Richard Curry, Charles McCarley, James Herman McCarley, Larry Clark and David Willingham. Honorary pallbearers will be Barbara Cain, Martha Parrish, Elizabeth Carter, David Banke, Frances Easley, Russell Willingham, Scott Wilingham, Jimmy Clark, Sherry Moody, Mike Curry, Jerry Curry and Michelle Schimmer. The family will receive friends from 7-8:30 PM Sunday night at Cooper-Sorrells Funeral Home in Bonham.

Wanda Kay Williams

Wanda Kay Williams, age 47, passed away Wednesday January 25, 2006 at her residence in Ivanhoe,  Texas. Graveside services will be held Sunday at 2PM January 29, 2006 at Brown Cemetery in Bonham under the direction of Cooper-Sorrells Funeral Home. Rev. Troy Miles will officiate. Wanda was born on November 11, 1958 to George & Margaret Williams in Corpus Christi, TX. She was employed by Wal-Mart as a cashier.

Pallbearers will be Clint Simmons, Shane King, Dallas Barnett, B.J.  White, Roger Lindsey & Larry Stockton.

Survived by husband Jerry King of Ivanhoe, TX; son David Dewayne Shelton of Achille, Ok., step daughter Shellie Simmons of Honey Grove, TX., step son Shane King of Wolfe City, TX., step daughter Nicky King of Ravenna, Tx., step sons Kendele & Lendele King of Ivanhoe, TX.; 10 grandchildren; mother Margret Marie Williams of Durant, Ok.; sister Melissa Lee Paul of Durant, Ok., Clarice Jange Phillips of Norman, Ok., & Joanne Binyard of California; brother Jimmy Wayne Corley of Kingston, Ok., brother Kenneth Earl Corley of Carrollton, TX., brother Randy Gene Williams of Bonham, TX.; several nieces & nephews.

Family will receive friends from 7-8pm Saturday, January 28, 2006 at the funeral home.
