Doris Waggoner

Doris Waggoner , age 91, of Ector,  Texas passed away March 1, 2006 at Mullican Care Center in Savoy,  Texas. Graveside services will be held at 10AM Friday March 3, 2006 at Willow Wild Cemetery in Bonham, under the direction of Cooper-Sorrells Funeral Home in Bonham. Officiating will be Bro. Wayne Johnson. She was born December 11, 1914 in Wills Point,  Texas to the late William Robert & Elizabeth Jane Walters Harris. Doris married Virgil Milton Waggoner in Terrell, TX. on September 24, 1932. He preceded her in death in 1991.

She is survived by son Billy Waggoner & wife Iverna of Ector, Tx.; daughter Linda & Robert Zimmerman of Arlington, TX.; grandchildren Troy Waggoner, Karen Waggoner & Natalie Zimmerman; Great Grandchildren Lindsay Garrison, Leah Waggoner, Scott Norwood & David Hill; 10 great great grandchildren; twin sister Dorothy Birdwell of Kamay, TX.

Harvey Benton Hohenberger

Mr. Harvey Benton Hohenberger, 77 of Honey Grove passed away Wednesday, June 16, 2004 at Presbyterian Hospital in Dallas, TX. He married Bobbie Jean Simpson June 8, 1948 in Honey Grove.

Mr. Hohenberger retired after 32 years as a welder with Babcock & Wilcox of Paris He was a veteran of WW-11 and served in the U.S. Navy. Mr. Hohenberger was a member of First Baptist Church of Honey Grove and served as vice-chairman of Deacons. He also was a Charter Member of the Honey Grove Volunteer Fire Dept.

Services were 10:30A.M. Sat. June 19, 2004 at the First Baptist Church and was officiated by Rev. W.C. Beasley and burial followed at Allens Point Cemetery. Active Pallbearers were Fred Wilkerson, Sonny Stanley, Ray Hevron, Fred Siebenthall, Kenneth Billings, Murray Jackson, Benny Bowie and Billy Bob Stephens. Honorary Pallbearers were Deacons of the church, Robert Shelton, Jr., Jimmy Doyle, David Reece, Rayford Stroud, Jim Siebenthal, Clyde Pope, Bobby Joyce, Don Roberts, Kenneth Pearce and Marshall Joyce.

He is survived by his wife Bobbie of the home, Daughter & Son in Law, Beverly & Don Herriage of Petty, TX., Sons & Daughters in Law, Harvey & Gail Hohenberger of Klondike, TX., Byron & Sylvia Hohenberger of Cooper, TX.

Brother, Kinith Hohenberger of Ft. Worth, TX., 8-Grandchildren & 9-Great Grandchildren.

Ivanhoe-Richard D. (Dude) Hope, age 40, passed away Sunday July 18, 2004 at Parkland Hospital in Dallas, TX., due to injuries sustained in an automobile accident.

Born March 8, 1964 in Fannin County. Richard was a member of Boyd Baptist Church. He worked as a lineman for Fannin County Electric Co-op.

Survived by son Spencer Dylan Hope of McKinney, TX., mother & stepfather Dee (Hope) & Paul Barber, grandmother Addie Hope, aunt Peggy Hale, who was like a second mom to Richard, uncle Albert Hale & uncle J.R. Hope, 2 cousins Britney Brakebilll & Jordan Hope, fiancé Kris Peppers all of Bonham.

Preceded in death by grandfather Richard Hope.

Funeral services will be held at 10a.m. Thursday, July 22, 2004 at Cooper-Sorrellls Chapel with Rev. Bob Posey officiating. Burial will follow at Mulberry Cemetery in Mulberry Community.

Pallbearers will be Jeff Akers, Dickie Calloway, Richard Hilliard, Tom Fox, Tony Vinson, Ronnie Odom. Honorary Pallbearers will be Fannin County Electric Employees & Jim Ashmore.

Family will receive friends at Cooper-Sorrells Funeral Home from 7-9pm Wednesday, July 21, 2004.

Bonham, TX. - Doris Smith Hogue, 79, of Bonham, passed away on Tuesday, Sept. 14, 2004. Chapel service will be held on Friday, Sept. 17th at 2:00pm under the direction of Cooper-Sorrells Funeral Home in Bonham. Rev. Bruce Bixler will officiate. Burial will be at Willow Wild Cemetery in Bonham, TX..

Mrs. Hogue was born December 26, 1924 in Ladonia, TX. She was married to Billy Hogue on December 20,1942 in Bonham, he preceded her in death on March 1, 1995. Doris along with husband Billy Hogue were longtime leaders in the Bonham business community. For some 30 years, they owned and operated Bonham Floral Shop.

Other lifetime achievements included Elder in First Christian Church in Bonham, President of Christian Women's Fellowship, President of Bonham Downtown Business Association, Board of Directors Bonham Chamber Commerce, President of North  Texas Allied Floral Assoc., President of Bonham Story League, and Produce and Director of the annual "Bonham Celebrity Follies"

Survivors are son Stephen Hogue & wife Deborah of Frisco, Tx.; Grandchildren Jennifer Hogue of Frisco & Kyle Hogue of Austin, TX.; sister Faye Flynt of Irving, TX., & several nieces & nephews.

Pallbearers will be Jim Stiff, Ron Bostick, Bill Cashion, Wayne Wright, Grady Leslie, Eliand Bowie, John Arthur Smith, Bill Munger. Honorary Pallbearer will be Grady Cockerham.

Family will receive friends 7-Spm Thursday, September 16th, 2004 at Cooper Sorrells Chapel in Bonham.

Savoy, TX. - Murrell L. Hollingsworth, 58, of Savoy, passed away on Sunday, Sept. 12, 2004 in North Caroline. Graveside service will be held on Saturday, Sept. 18th at 2:00pm under the direction of Cooper-Sorrells Funeral Home in Bonham. Rev. Jeffery Lake will officiate. Burial will be at Blue Ridge Cemetery in Blue Ridge, TX..

Mr. Hollingsworth was born December 03,1945 in Anna, TX, to Clifford Hollingsworth & Ruby Kress.

Survivors are daughter Sallie Hollingsworth of Lawton, OK; daughter Glenda Lane of Duncan, OK.; 2 grandchildren; brother David Hollingsworth of Savoy, TX. & several nieces & nephews.

Family will receive friends 7-8pm Friday, September 17th, 2004 at Cooper-Sorrells Funeral Home in Bonham.

Cindy Kay Bicknell Halvorson

Bonham-Cindy Kay Bicknell Halvorson, age 47, passed away Wednesday, October 20, 2004 at her residence in Bonham,  Texas. Graveside services will be held at 2pm Sunday, October 24, 2004 at Arledge Ridge Cemetery in Bonham, TX. Bro. Lynn Holly & Mr. Rex  Jackson will officiate. Visitation will be held 7-8pm Saturday, October 23, 2004 at the funeral home. Arrangements will be under the direction of Cooper-Sorrells Funeral Home in Bonham.

Cindy was born on August 10, 1957, in Bonham, TX. to Harold H. & Carolyn June Hasten Bicknell. She was a nurse & a member of the Waddle Street Baptist Church in McKinney, TX.

Pallbearers will be Buddy Dodson, Larry Davis, Claude Elliott, Jerry Winnett, Larry Simpson & Thomas Ray Brewer.

Survivors are son Jason Daniel of Bonham, TX; grandson Dillon Baugh of Honey Grove, TX.; parents Harold & June Bicknell of Bonham; sisters Sherri Winnett of Austin, TX. & Connie Pierce of Bonham, TX; maternal grandmother Cleo Hasten of Bonham, TX.; nieces Kelsi Wirmett, Misty Goodin & Rainy Goodin; aunts & uncles. Preceded in death by a son Jared Dillon Baugh.

DoC Hudson

Bonham, TX.-Rudolph `Doc` Hudson, age 88, passed away Thursday, November 11, 2004 at Texoma Medical Center in Denison, TX.. Graveside Services will be held at IO AM Saturday, November 13, 2004 at Willow Wild Cemetery in Bonham, TX.. Bro. Morgan Malone will officiate. Arrangements are under the direction of Cooper-Sorrells Funeral Home in Bonham.

Mr. Hudson was born on June 16, 1916, in Ravenna, TX to Fred & Florence Bragg Hudson. He married Mary Helen Schillings on April 18, 1947 in Bonham, Tx.. He was a Member of the First Christian Church in Bonham. Served in the U. S. Air Force during WWII.

Pallbearers will be Eddie Bell, Jimmy Bethel, David Lehde, Rick Dickson, Larry Wilson & Dave Drennan.

Survivors are wife Mary Hudson of the home & son Mike Hudson. Donations can be made to Bonham Snap Center & Critters Corner.

Cody Boyde Horton

Lannius Community - Funeral services for Cody Boyde Horton, age 17, of Lannius will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, December 9, 2004 at the Dodd City High School Gymnasium, under the direction of Cooper-Sorrells Funeral Home, Rev. Roy Burpo will officiate. Burial will follow in the Smyrna Cemetery in Lannius. Cody passed away from injuries sustained in an automobile accident on Sunday, December 5, 2004.

He was born on May 22, 1987 in Sherman, TX.. He was a senior at Dodd City High School. He was active in FFA, and loved to show cattle, he also enjoyed riding 4wheelers, playing his guitar, and working on his truck.

He is survived by his mother, Cindy Horton, his father Kenny Horton, sister Kelli Horton and brother Kyle Horton. Grandparents H.E. & Janie Hazlewood and Jimmie & Lois Horton, and very special friend Heather Giles, and many Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and Friends.

Pallbearers will be Cody Dawson, Scott Hazlewood, Randy Hazlewood, Ricky Coonrod, Randy Bullard, Mike Kern, E.J. Carson and Bud Carter. Honorary Pallbearers will be the Dodd City High Senior Class, Josh Horton and Nicholas Dorau.

Memorial may be made to the Cody Horton Scholarship Fund @ Fannin County Teachers Federal Credit Union, 210 S. Main Street, Bonham,  Texas 75418.

The family will receive friends from 6-8PM Wednesday night at Cooper-Sorrells Funeral Home in Bonham.

C.E. Hope

Bonham- C.E. Hope, long-time businessman went to be with the Lord December 22, 2004. He leaves Roberta his loving wife of sixty four years, three daughters, Barbara Latham, Vickie Spencer & husband Frank III, and Debbie Morris; two sons, Tommy Hope & wife Barbara, Gerald Hope & wife Linda. He is also survived by twelve grandchildren and twenty-one great grandchildren; a brother, Warren Hope; three sisters Almeta Nelson, Neva Jean Baxter & Doris O'Brien; numerous nieces & nephews.

Mr. Hope was preceded in death by a son, Jerry Hope, his father, mother & two sisters. Services for C.E. will be held at 2:00PM Sunday, December 26, 2004 at Cooper-Sorrells Funeral Home Chapel in Bonham. Officiating will be Rev. Adam Barker & Rev. Morris Robbins. Visitation will be one hour before the services. Burial will follow at Willow Wild Cemetery in Bonham.

Pallbearers will be grandchildren, Mike Corzine, Josh Morris, Dusty Spencer, Michael Wayne Hope, Philip Eugene Hope and Sandy Merworth_ Honorary Pallbearers will be great grandchildren, Jonah Hope, Jacob Hope, Arron Ashmore, Coleman Corzine, Micha Corzine and Levi Merworth.

Clinton Eugene Hope was born to Clyde Hope and Lillian Wofford Hope on August 7, 1920 at Tioga,  Texas. He was married to Roberta Halliburton March 11, 1940.

Mr. Hope served in the U.S. Army. One of the first jobs C.E. held enabled him to be a part of the building of the largest man made lake- Lake Texoma. In 1961 he purchased Bonham Concrete and later founded Bryan County Sand and Gravel at Yuba,  Oklahoma, which are still family owned.

C. E. was on the building committee for the construction of the replica of Ft. Inglish for the Bicentennial Celebration in Bonham from 1975 to 1976. He served on the board of directors of the Bonham Chamber of Commerce and was a director of the East  Texas Chamber of Commerce. C.E. was a member of the National Historical Society, the Historical Commission and the  Texas Historical Foundation. He also served on the board of directors of Fannin National Bank of Windom,  Texas and also was Vice-Chairman of the board of directors of the former First National Bank of Bonham, C.E. also served as an honorary director of the former Bonham Council of Campfire, Inc.

Upon retiring from Bonham Concrete Inc., C.E. engaged in raising cattle on his farm in the Edhube Community and later was engaged in selling used farm equipment.

C.E. will be missed by his large family and many friends.

Memorials may be made to Manna House at Calvary Baptist Church, 915 South 5th, Bonham, TX. 75418.

Lynda Beth Howell

Lannius Community- Lynda Beth Howell, age 62, passed away Monday January 17, 2005 at Baylor Hospital- Dallas, TX. Funeral services will be held Thursday, January 20, 2005 at 2pm at First Baptist Church in Bonham, TX. Rev. Morgan Malone will officiate. Burial will follow at Dodd City Cemetery.

Lynda was born April 3, 1942 in Bonham, TX to Lyndall Douglas & Edna  Taylor Vaught. She married Leeman Howell on August 17, 1960 in Dodd City, TX. She worked as a Shipping Department Manager for Ennis-  Texas Tag. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Bonham.

Family will receive friends Wednesday, January 19, 2005 from 6:30-8:34pm at Cooper Sorrells Funeral Home in Bonham.

Survivors are daughter Annette Keene & husband Stanley of Bonham, TX.; daughter Lynnette Lackey & husband Dean of Bonham, TX.; grandchildren Lindsey Keene, Zach Keene, Jake Lackey & Cole Lackey; brother Jerry Vaught & wife Pat of Dodd City, TX.; nephews Sammy Vaught & Lyndell Vaught; niece Becky Renfro.

Preceded in death by husband Leeman Howell, parents, & brother Paul D. Vaught.

Ned Hall

Bonham - Funeral services for Mr. Ned Hall, age 74, of Bonham will be held at 3:00 PM Friday, at Cooper-Sorrells Chapel. Officiating will be Bro. Dave Cash and Bro. Morris Robbins. Interment will follow in Mulberry Cemetery. Mr. Hall passed away Tuesday, May 3, 2005 at Northeast Medical Center in Bonham. He was born on January 5, 1931 the son of the late Robert Allie and Edna  Jones Hall. Mr. Hall was married to Tommie Lou Upchurch on May 22,1954 in Bonham. He was retired from Southwest Pump Company in Bonham and a member of Trinity Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife Tommie Lou Hall of Bonham. Son - Steve Hall & wife Renitta of Allens Chapel Community. Daughter - Suzanne Evans & husband John of Allen, TX.. 4-Grandchildren, 2-Step Grandchildren and 1-Great Granddaughter. Sisters - Janice Mumford of McAllen, TX; Bobbie Lightfoot of Anthony, FL; Ella Smith of Alice, TX; Neauthia Young of Mason, TX; Betty Sanford of Mulberry and Elise Cummings of Sherman, TX.. Brothers - Jack Hall of Ravenna; R.A. Hall of Mesquite, TX. and Robert Hall of West Columbia, TX.. Several Nieces and Nephews. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by Brothers - Ted Hall, Charles Hall and Joe Hall. Sister - Marjorie Brosofske.

Pallbearers will be Willie Joe, Bobby Russell, Robert D. Conyers, Joe Call, Kevin Brosofske, Bill Eaton and Charles Atnip. The family will receive friends from 6:30 to 7:30 PM Thursday night at Cooper-Sorrells Funeral Home in Bonham.
