July 18, 2004
Funeral services for Lee Roy Reeves, 57, were held Monday, July 5, 2004, at the First Assembly of God, with the Rev. Darrell Bingle officiating. Burial followed in Farley Chapel Cemetery in Shepherd.
He was born February 24, 1947 in Huntington, the son of Melvin and Eula Painter Reeves. Mr. Reeves died Friday, July 2, at his residence in Shepherd.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, John Thomas Reeves, Tommy Reeves and Kenneth Burl Reeves; and sister, Ona Mae Cleveland.
Survivors include his wife, Janice Reeves; son, Timothy Wayne Reeves of Shepherd; daughter, Tina Milnar of Shepherd; daughter and son-in-law, Sarah Lee and Don Unger of Shepherd; grandchildren, Shawn Unger and Chase Unger, both of Shepherd, and Justin, Christopher and Kimberly Reeves, all of Kingwood; extended family, Tracey Dale, Jessica Schlittenhartt, Tyler Schlittenhartt, and Kayle Schlittenhartt; brothers, Edsell Reeves and wife, Gene, Jerry Reeves and John Lucky Reeves and wife, Mary; sisters, Frances Pate and husband, Leo, Virginia Law and husband, John, Nellie Pate and husband, Ike, and Martha Smith and husband, Alfred; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers were Dallas Wilson, Keith Reeves, Larry Wilson, Jamie Pate, Ricky Reeves and Andy Reeves.
Cochran Funeral Home, Livingston, was in charge of arrangements.

Stanley
July 18, 2004
Funeral services were held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, July 8, 2004 at Cochran Funeral Home Chapel, for David Allen Stanley, 47, with Minister Porter Champlin officiating. Burial followed in Union Springs Cemetery, Corrigan.
He was born December 30, 1956 in Bossier,  Louisiana, the son of James and Lola (Lulue) Stanley. Mr. Stanley died Monday, July 5, in Memorial Medical Center, Livingston.
Survivors include his wife, Sharon; father, James Henry Stanley; daughter, Jessica Waltmon of Lindale; sons, David Allen Stanley II of Livingston, Cody Dalton Pierce of Magnolia and James Allen Stanley of Livingston; step-daughter, Nikki Nunley of Livingston; brother, James Ellis Stanley of Livingston; and two grandchildren, Cain Alexander Phelps and Sebastian Stanford.
Pallbearers were David Stanley Jr., James E. Stanley, Colby McCory, Bill Young, Tim Rasberry, Preston Miracle II and Jerry Labrun. Honorary pallbearer was Rob Odom.
Cochran Funeral Home, Livingston, was in charge of arrangements.

Tolly
July 18, 2004
Graveside services for Vera Tolly, 88, of Livingston, were held Tuesday, July 6, 2004, at Peebles Cemetery, with the Rev. Frank E. Hood officiating.
Mrs. Tolly was born on October 20, 1915 in Trinity, to parents, Milam F. and Gertrude Turner Wilkinson. She retired from the Methodist Children's Home in Waco and Boy's Harbor in LaPorte. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Livingston.
Mrs. Tolly died Saturday, July 3, 2004, in Livingston. She was preceded in death by her husband, John; and a brother, Glenn Wilkinson.
Survivors include two children, Jerry Avery and wife, Lucille, of Angel Fire, New Mexico; and Patsy Green and husband, Jack, of Lindale; six grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Shawn Williams, Thurman Terry, Billy Coley, John Michael Green, Dee Wilkinson, James P. Boddie, Daniel Tompkins and Gene Boddie.
Pace Funeral Home, Livingston, was in charge of arrangements.

 Whiteley
July 18, 2004
Funeral services for Elma Jane  Whiteley, 85, of Batson, were held Tuesday, July 6, 2004, at United Pentecostal Church of Batson, with the Rev. Johnny Nelson officiating. Burial followed in Guedry Cemetery in Batson.
 Whiteley was a homemaker and a lifelong resident of the Batson area. She was a member of the United Pentecostal Church of Batson. She married George Ellis  Whiteley on June 29, 1937, and was married to him for 38 years until his death in 1964.
 Whiteley was preceded in death by her parents; husband; a daughter, Reba Faye  Whiteley; brothers, John L. Caruthers, Charles E. Caruthers and Bennie Ray Caruthers; and sisters, Oma Lea Yarber, Alma Storey and Edna Lewis.
Survivors include one son, George Ellis 'Butch'  Whiteley, Jr. and wife, Ina; grandsons, Ellis Patrick  Whiteley, Tommy Lynn  Whiteley, Devin Ray  Whiteley, Davis Weldon  Whiteley and Timothy Allen  Whiteley; sisters, Doris Husband, Edith Riley, Elizabeth Gillfillian and Thelma Reavis; and brothers, Jim Caruthers and Willie Gene Caruthers.

Calhoun
July 18, 2004
Funeral services for Betty Calhoun, 63, of Liberty, were held on Wednesday, July 14, 2004 at 10:00 a.m. at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home, Dayton, with Rev. Alfred Smith officiating. Interment followed at Hillside Cemetery, Liberty.
She was born on March 15, 1941, the daughter of E.B. Wright and Lillian LaFrance. A native of Ames,  Texas, she had been a long time resident of the area and attended South Liberty Oilfield Pentecostal Church.
Calhoun died on Saturday, July 10, at Northeast Medical Center in Humble. She was preceded in death by her father and one brother.
Survivors include mother, Lillian Touchet of Dayton; one son, Donal E. Calhoun and wife, Marlene, of Humble; two daughters, Cynthia 'Cindy' D. Burns and husband, Bobby, of Hull and LaDonna L. Chandler and husband, Jeff, of Spring; sister, Michelle L. Berotte and husband, Joe, of Baytown; grandsons, James, Junior, Darrel, Lonnie, Donal, David, Terry and Kyle; granddaughters, Donna and Cynthia; great-granddaughters, Kendal, Hannah, Darian and Shasta; great-grandsons, Hayden, Kameron and Konner.
Pace-Stancil Funeral Home, Dayton, was in charge of arrangements.

Johnson
July 18, 2004
Funeral services for Veniece Gaynell Johnson, 65, were held Saturday, July 10, 2004, at the Indian Presbyterian Church, with the Revs. Bill Heck and Rudy Martinez officiating. Burial followed in the Indian Reservation Cemetery.
She was born July 30, 1038 in Polk County, the daughter of Amos and Hazel Pierre Sylestine. Mrs.  Johnson died Thursday, July 8, in Memorial Hermann Hospital, Memorial City, Houston.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Terrah B. Battise, Eva H. Battise, Cordelia Battise, Poncho and Edna F. Battise Sylestine; brothers, Joseph R. Battise, Floyd Battise, Lowell D. Sylestine and Gordon W. Sylestine; son, Leslie Clamon  Johnson Jr.; and husband, Leslie Clamon  Johnson Sr.
Survivors include her son, Calvin Windell  Johnson of Houston; daughter, Liza Gayle  Johnson of Houston; brothers, Lawrence Battise and Amon Sylestine, both of Livingston; sisters, Janie Sylestine Battise, Deloris Sylestine  Johnson and Beryl Sylestine Battise, all of Livingston; nieces, Olivia Battise Williams, Deborah Sylestine, Terrah Langley, Maudine Abbey and Jeralyn Mullins; and nephews, Clifton Battise, Claudie Battise, Darrell Battise, Don Sylestine and Elvis Battise.
Pallbearers were Larry Langley, Ross Abbey Jr., Wilson Mullins, Harvey Williams, Lloyd Abbey, Quanah  Whitethunder, Josh Liscano and Ian Liscano.
Cochran Funeral Home, Livingston, was in charge of arrangements.

Mobley
July 18, 2004
Funeral services were conducted Tuesday, June 29, 2004, at Community Church in Hull, for Erma Lee Fregia Mobley, 67, of Daisetta, with the Revs. Larry D. Wyant and Bobby Morgan officiating. Burial followed in Guedry Cemetery in Batson.
She was born January 13, 1937, in Liberty, the daughter of Jessie and Edna Nugent Fregia. She was a lifetime resident of Liberty County. She was a former nurses aide employed by Bur-Mont Nursing Home, now Magnolia Place, Golden Charm Nursing Home and  Texas Home Health. She also was a member of Community Church and enjoyed church activities and singing.
Mrs. Mobley died on Saturday, June 26, at Magnolia Place Nursing Home in Liberty. She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Kathy M. Mobley; daughter-in-law, Bridget Mobley; and brother, Frank Fregia.
Survivors include her husband, John R. Mobley of Daisetta; daughters, Debra K. Fregia and husband, Lynn, of Daisetta and Sandra L. Mobley of Raywood; sons, Mike Mobley and wife, Yvette, of El Camp, Eddie Mobley of Rye, Jessie Mobley and wife, Renee, of Mobile, Alabama, and Derrick Mobley, a grandson raised as a son; sister, Lois A. Measles of Moss Hill; brothers, Aubrey Fregia of Raywood, Weldon Fregia of Hardin, Jessie Fregia Jr. of Daisetta and James Fregia of Saratoga; 17 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Oliver
July 18, 2004
Funeral services for Thelma Susan Oliver, 92, were held Saturday, July 10, 2004, in the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel, Onalaska, with the Revs. Jerry Sebeck and Don Wilson officiating. Burial followed in Magnolia Cemetery, Onalaska.
She was born June 16, 1912 in Onalaska, the daughter of Arthur and Zillie West Sheffield. Mrs. Oliver died Wednesday, July 7, at her residence in Onalaska. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Oliver, and her parents.
Survivors include her daughters, Jane Edmiston of Carlton, Oregon and Betty Sue Loftis of Greenwood, Arkansas; 10 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and 11 great-great grandchildren.
Cochran Funeral Home, Livingston, was in charge of arrangements.

Ackerman
July 13, 2004
Funeral services for Duane Michael Ackerman, 70, of Rye, were held Monday, July 5, 2004, at 11:00 a.m. at Pace-Stancil/Probst Chapel in Cleveland. Interment was at Calvary Hill Cemetery, Houston.
He was born on December 15, 1933 in Stuart, Nebraska, the son of Clem F. Ackerman and Leona S. Ackerman.
Survivors include his wife, Retha Ackerman of Rye; daughters, Angella 'Crissy' Sheridan, Valarie Slack and her husband, Dan; grandchildren, Michael, Jeffery, Jordan, Dalton, Jared, Brittany and Joshua; and one sister, Lavon Webbert.
Pace-Stancil Funeral Home, Cleveland, was in charge of arrangements.

McCullough
July 13, 2004
Funeral services were held Thursday, June 24, 2004, at Cochran Funeral Home Chapel, for Marion Andrew McCullough, 66, with Lee Brinkman officiating. Burial followed in Oaklawn Cemetery in Decatur.
He was born April 4, 1938 in Houston, the son of Clarence Andrew McCullough and Ruby Chansey McCullough, both of whom preceded him in death. Mr. McCullough died Sunday, June 20, in East  Texas Medical Center in Trinity.
Survivors include his wife, Peggy McCullough; son, John McCullough of Tomball; daughters, Mary Ann Carpenter of Porter, Kelly Pope of McKinney, Monica Amyett of Fort Worth and Dorothee Sappenfield of Allen,  Oklahoma; grandsons, Richard Carpenter, Luke Pope, Collin Pope, Samuel Amyett and Freddy Amyett; granddaughter, Meika Pope; and brother, Charles McCullough of Omaha, Nebraska.
Cochran Funeral Home, Livingston, was in charge of arrangements.

Renschler
July 13, 2004
Funeral services for Adolph Renschler, 86, were held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, July 5, 2004, in the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor David Miller officiating. Burial followed in Magnolia Cemetery, Onalaska. military honors were provided by VFW Post 8568.
He was born January 1, 1918 in Linton, North Dakota, the son of Charles and Christina Dufloth Renschler. Mr. Renschler died Thursday, July 1, in Huffman. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Irene Eddings Renschler; brothers, Otto Renschler and Albert Renschler; and sisters, Esther Renschler and Bertha Walters.
Survivors include his sons and daughters-in-law, Robert and Shayla Renschler of Pasadena and Eric and Mary Renschler of Huffman; daughter and son-in-law, Erin and Wayne Le Fleur of Deer Park; grandchildren, Christine Camario, Jessie Camario, Abby  Jones and Brody Hamil; and sister, Marie Vejsada of Indian Head Park, Illinois.
Pallbearers were Cameron La Fleur, Mark Allen, Matt Allen, Ben Renschler, Jeremy Renschler, Austin  Jones and John Hamil.
Cochran Funeral Home, Livingston, was in charge of arrangements.
