Alvord - Diana Morton, 29, of Alvord died Saturday, June 2, 2001.

She was born Aug. 18, 1971, in San Antonio to Leandro Sauceda and Lydia Amador.

Ms. Morton was a homemaker.

The graveside service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, June 4, in Roselawn Cemetery.

The rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Sunday, June 3, at Coker Funeral Home in Decatur.

Survivors include her parents, Leandro Sauceda of Bridgeport and Lydia Amador of Decatur; one son, Ronnie Morton of Decatur; two daughters, Brandy and Tavia Morton, both of Decatur; grandparents, Flortino and Elbire Marroquin of San Antonio; one brother, Johnny Sauceda of Bridgeport; and two sisters Sandra Alonso and Stephanie Breceda of Decatur.

Merl E. Bonney

Boulder, Colo. - Merl E. Bonney, 98, of Boulder, Colo., formerly of Denton, died Tuesday, May 29, 2001.

He was born Oct. 26, 1902, in Pomeroy, Wash., to Harry Bonney and Margaret Blakeman Bonney. On Aug. 22, 1936, he married Myrle Doane in Golden, Colo.

Mr. Bonney was a professor of Psychology at the University of North Texas. He had 5 psychology booksand 65 journal articles published and was president of the Texas Psychology Association in 1952. Student contributions have endowed a chair in psychology in his name at the University of North Texas.

He was a member of Saint Andrew's Presbyterian Church.

The service will be at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, June 3, at Saint Andrew's Presbyterian Church in Boulder, Colo.

Memorials may be made to Bonney Endowment Foundation c/o University of North Texas, UNT Foundation, Denton 76203.

Survivors include a son, Lewis Bonney of Long Beach, Calif.; a daughter, Carol Bonney of Lakewood, Colo.; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. His wife, Myrle, and siblings, Warren, Arthur, Kelly, Ethel, Florence, and Blance Bonney are deceased.

Howe Mortuary in Boulder, Colo., is in charge of arrangements.

David Chambers

Sanger - David Michael Chambers, 14, of Sanger died May 31, 2001, of an accidental drowning at Lake Ray Roberts.

He was born July 7, 1986, in Dallas to Brian and Melissa Chambers.

David was a ninth grade student at Sanger High School.

The service will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, June 3, at Christ the Great Shepard Church in Sanger with Dewey Lang and Jeff Lang officiating.

Pallbearers will be James Hamilton, Joseph Wilson, Larry Dever, Max Dever, Kelly Toomey, and Steve Lash.

Visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday, June 2, at Coker Funeral Home in Sanger.

Survivors include his parents of Sanger; a sister, Rebecca Chambers of Sanger; grandparents, Bill and Donna Dever of Valley View, David and Rebecca Fain of Bonham, Teri Chambers of Plano, and Betty and Ed Chambers of Mounds, Okla.; and great-grandparents, Bill and Mary Dever of Hurst, Fred Hall of Lake Dallas, Zella Wright of Bonham, and Ray and Rose Holloway of Amarillo.

Uriel Ray Mayes

Lewisville - Uriel Ray Mayes, 67, of Lewisville died Sunday, May 28, 2001, in Lewisville.

He was born June 2, 1933, in Frisco to Nova Kidd and Kennie Mayes. In 1958 he married Earline Williams in Frisco.

The service will be at noon Monday, June 4, at Macedonia Baptist Church of Lewisville with T.J. Denson officiating. Burial will be in the Dallas/Fort Worth National Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 7 to 8 p.m. Sunday, June 3, at Peoples Funeral Home of Denton.

Survivors include his parents of Carrollton; his wife of Lewisville; four sons, Donald Ray Mayes, Christopher Mayes, Peter Mayes and Uriel Ray Mayes Jr., all of the Metroplex; three daughters, Nova Bernice Mayes, Loretta Mayes and Elizabeth Mayes, all of the Metroplex; two brothers, Joe L. Mayes of Maryland and Kennie Mayes Jr. of Carrollton; and 10 grandchildren.

Scott White

Rule - Scott White, 55, formerly of Denton, died Friday, June 1, 2001.

Arrangement are pending with McCauley-Robinson Funeral Home in Rule.

Bishop Loy E. Dooling

Flower Mound - Bishop Loy Elvin Dooling, 76, of Flower Mound, died Wednesday, May 30, 2001, at his residence.

Visitation will be after 9 a.m. Saturday, June 2, and services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, at Lakewood Funeral Home in Jackson, Miss.

Survivors include his wife, Joyce Smith Dooling of Flower Mound; James and Nancy Smith of Flower Mound; Charles Dooling of Omaha, Neb.; Jim and Carolyn Floyd of Merritt Island, Fla.; Joseph Lee and Tina Dooling of Fairmont, Neb.; three grandchildren, James Smith III and Tena Marie Smith, both of Texas, and Joseph Lee Dooling Jr. of Fairmont, Neb.; brother, Donald Roy Dooling of Orange County, Calif.; sister, Barbara Ann Huffman of Orange County, Calif.

Everyone who knew Mr. Dooling knew that he was a stickler for Christ.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Church of God Bishop Loy Dooling Memorial Fund, 5 Beverly Hills Circle, Vicksburg, Miss. 39180-5401.

Jewell Cummings

Whitesboro - Jewell Lee Cummings, 86, of Whitesboro died Wednesday, May 30, 2001, at Wilson N. Jones Medical Center in Sherman.

She was born Aug. 20, 1914, in Tioga to Jack and Sussie Snuggs Cummings.

Ms. Cummings worked in child care. She was Methodist.

A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, June 2, in the Tioga Cemetery. The Rev. Luther Slay will officiate. Huff/Slay Funeral Home in Pilot Point is in charge of arrangements.

Visitation will be at 1 p.m. at the cemetery .

She is survived by her sister, Muriel Lambert of Clifton.

Thomas McKee

Thomas James McKee, 58, of Denton died Wednesday, May 30, 2001, at his home.

He was born April 29, 1943, in Las Vegas, Nev., to Hunt and Jenita (Wright) McKee. He married Linda Ashmore in Marietta, Okla., on March 19, 1991.

Mr. McKee was a lay minister. He was a member of Taylor Park Church of the Nazarene, where he was in charge of the telephone and hospital ministry. He also served as a missionary in UEA Russia and Mozambique.

The service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, June 2, at Taylor Park Church of the Nazarene. Bruce Chamberlain will officiate. Goen-Hudgens Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Memorials may be made to Taylor Park Church of the Nazarene, 1905 McCormick St., Denton, Texas 76205.

Survivors include his wife, Linda McKee of Denton; his mother, Jenita McKee of Wichita Falls; one son, Bill Townsend of Denton; two daughters, Mitsi Jaskolsky of Overland Park, Kan., and Machelle McKee of Sherman; one brother, Dwayne McKee of Wichita Falls; one sister, Jeanine Keisling of Double Oak; and three grandchildren.

Madge Smedley

Hickory Creek - Madge M. Smedley, 79, of Hickory Creek died Tuesday, May 29, 2001, at her home.

She was born Sept. 26, 1921, in El Dorado, Ark., to Martin and Ruth Mullally. She married Jim Smedley in Tulsa, Okla., on Aug. 23, 1945.

Mrs. Smedley was a homemaker.

She was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and formerly attended Christ the King and St. Rita Catholic churches in Dallas.

Rosary will be said at 7 p.m. today, June 1, in the chapel of DeBerry Funeral Directors of Denton.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 2, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Charles King will officiate. Burial will be in Calvary Hill Cemetery in Dallas.

Memorials may be made to the building fund of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Denton, Ann's Haven Hospice of Denton, or the American Cancer Society.

Survivors include her husband, Jim Smedley of Hickory Creek; two daughters, Barbara Hall of Conway, Ark., and Ruth Barboza of Hickory Creek; one son, James M. Smedley of Hickory Creek; and four grandchildren.

Tryphosa Tabb

Lake Dallas - Tryphosa Ruth Tabb, 82, of Lake Dallas, formerly of Lindale, died Thursday, May 24, 2001, in Lewisville.

She was born July 7, 1918, in Denver, Colo., to Hugh and Beatrice Purcell. She married Frank George Tabb in Denver in 1942. He died Jan. 4, 1995.

Mrs. Tabb graduated from Colorado State University with a bachelor of arts degree. She was a member of Kappa Alpha Theta, the Hide-Away-Lake Dance Club, and the Hide-Away-Lake Garden Club. She was a homemaker.

She was a member of St. Luke's Episcopal Church in Lindale.

The memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 2, at St. Luke's Episcopal Church in Lindale. The Rev. Willis Lawton will officiate. Burial was in Roselawn Memorial Park. Mulkey-Mason, Jack Schmitz and Son Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Memorials may be made to St. Luke's Episcopal Church in Lindale.

Survivors include one daughter, Jan Nourse of Lake Dallas; one son, Dr. Phillip Tabb of College Station; one brother, Hugh Purcell of Vancouver, Wash.; and six grandchildren.

Margaret Baron

Margaret Ann Baron, 65, of Denton died Friday, June 8, 2001, at Denton Regional Medical Center.

She was born April 30, 1936, in Kane, Pa., to Paul and Clara (Maze) Hetrick. She was married to Richard Phillip Baron. He died in June 1979.

Mrs. Baron was an X-ray technician at Flow Hospital.

A memorial service will be held at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, June 14, in the chapel of Mulkey-Mason, Jack Schmitz and Son Funeral Home. The Rev. Larry Bassett will officiate.

Memorials may be made to Operation Kindness, 3201 Earhart Drive, Carrollton, Texas 75006.

She is survived by her son, Bob Baron of Garland.

Billy Boyd

Decatur - Billy Gene Boyd, 80, of Decatur died Sunday, June 10, 2001, at his home. He was born April 27, 1921, in Decatur.

Mr. Boyd was in real estate sales. He was a Past Master of Masonic Lodge #447 and a veteran of the U.S. Navy.

He was a member of First United Methodist Church.

A service will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 13, at First United Methodist Church in Decatur. Rusty Hedges will officiate. Burial will be in Oaklawn Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 7 to 8 p.m. tonight, Tuesday, June 12, at Coker Funeral Home of Decatur.

Pallbearers will be David Brown, J.E. Carson, Willard Howell, Sam Renshaw, Bill Griggs, Clint Wiley, Herbert White and Charlie Long.

Survivors include his wife, Eva Jo (Carl) Boyd of Decatur; two sons, Gary Michael Boyd of Bourne, Mass., and Billy Carl Boyd of Houston; two brothers, Bobby Boyd of Decatur and Jack Boyd of Plano; two sisters, Helen Paschall of Denton and Jo Ann Grissom of Weatherford; and three grandchildren.

David Morrow Sr.

David Herman Morrow Sr., 62, of Denton died Sunday, June 10, 2001, at his residence.

He was born Oct. 13, 1938, in Pangburn, Ark., to Norman Mitchell and Lucy (Hicks) Morrow. On June 19, 1972, he married Jo Johnson in Denton. He attended public schools and served in the U.S. Army.

Mr. Morrow was employed as a construction inspector for the Texas Department of Transportation.

He was Baptist.

A service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 13, in the chapel of Mulkey-Mason, Jack Schmitz and Son Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, June 14, in Henderson Cemetery in Pangburn, Ark.

Pallbearers will be Tim Massey, Ted Anderson, Carl Porath, Phil Brown, Rich Johnson and Earl Cook.

Visitation will be from 7 to 8 p.m. tonight, Tuesday, June 12, at the funeral home.

Survivors include his wife of Denton; one son, David H. Morrow Jr. of Denton; and one sister, Louise Foster of Searcy, Ark.
