NORMANGEE — Services for Alvana Cole, 76, of Normangee are set for 11 a.m. Saturday at Ten Mile Baptist Church. Bro. Vernon Powell will officiate. Burial will be in Ten Mile Cemetery in Madison County.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Cozart Funeral Home in Normangee.
Mrs. Cole died Wednesday at Madison St. Joseph.
She was born in Montgomery, Ala. She was a housewife and member of Ten Mile Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, A.F. Cole.
Survivors include her sons and daughter-in-law, Floyd and Linda Cole of Athens, Texas, Maxwell Cole of Athens, James Cole of Teague, Durwin Cole of Normangee; her half-brother, Floyd Anderson; 11 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
John Davis Vaughn

IOLA — Services for John Davis Vaughn, 89, of Iola are set for 10 a.m. Friday at the Iola Missionary Baptist Church. The Revs. Scott Jones and Bill Adkisson will officiate. Burial will be in Concord Cemetery.
Arrangements are under the direction of J.M. Day Funeral Home in Madisonville.
Mr. Vaughn died Wednesday at his home in Iola.
He was born in Keith. He was a member of the Iola Missionary Baptist Church, Bedias Masonic Lodge and the Eastern Star.
Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Omalee Vaughn; two daughters and sons-in-law, Betty Joe and Wilson Dane of Damon, Texas, and Carolyn and Alex Fojtik of Needville; one son and daughter-in-law, Davis Lee and Debra Vaughn of Iola; seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

NORMANGEE — Graveside service for Larry “Junior” Hall, 71, of Normangee is set for 3 p.m. Saturday at Wealthy Cemetery in Normangee. The Rev. Will Odom of Normangee Church of Christ will officiate.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Cozart Funeral Home in Normangee.
Mr. Hall died Wednesday in Bryan.
He was born in Madisonville. He was a painter.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Ann Hall.
Survivors include three sons and daughters-in-law, David and Marilyn Hall, Thomas and Donna Hall, Burtis and Charlotte Hall, all of Normangee; a daughter and son-in-law, Margie and Dan Dunn of Bryan; a daughter-in-law, Vandalyn Rowe of Riverside, Calif.; a sister, Jessie Dee Ferguson of Tomball; 13 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Services for Charles Landphair, 85, of College Station are set for 2 p.m. Saturday at Memorial Funeral Chapel in College Station. The Rev. Jerry House of Christ United Methodist Church will officate.
Mr. Landphair died Sunday at Southwood Nursing Home.
Be was born in Eustis, Fla. He was in the wholesale business for meat and seafood.
He was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Eustis.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Erin Tom Landphair.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Harlow C. and Christine Landphair of College Station; two daughters and sons-in-law, Erin Tom and L. Norman Vaughn-Birch of Sarasota, Fla., Sally Jo and Lavelle Pitts of Panama City, Fla.; a sister, Lois Smith of Eustis; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Walter Whitfield Sr.

NAVASOTA— Services for Walter Whitfield Sr., 67, of Navasota are set for 11 a.m. Saturday at Mount Zion Baptist Church in Courtney. The Rev. Bennie Steptoe will officiate. Burial will be in St. Holland Cemetery in Navasota.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday at Jones Funeral Home in Navasota.
Mr. Whitfield died Sunday at his home in Navasota.
He was born in Grimes County and was a farmer. He was a member of the Mount Zion Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife of 45 years, Nellie Whitfield of Navasota; three sons and a daughter-in-law, Carlton Williams of Navasota, David and Ruby Williams, Walter Whiftield Jr., all of Navasota and Ray Don Whitfield of Beaumont; three daughters and sons-in-law, Linda and Darrell Horne of Missouri City, Marilyn Whitfield of Bryan and Carolyn and the Rev. LYONS — Services for Charlie Moore Sr., 81, of Lyons are set for 11 a.m. Saturday at Mount Zion Baptist Church in Lyons. The Rev. Basil Lister will officiate. Burial will be in Lyons Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Friday at Jones-Washington-Mortuary in Bryan.
Mr. Moore died Monday at his residence in Lyons.
He was a lifetime resident of Lyons, and was retired from the Santa Fe Railroad.
He was a member of New Hope Lodge No. 253 in Somerville and a member of Mount Zion Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Willie Mae Moore of Lyons; five sons, Charlie Moore Jr., Albert L. Moore, Robert L. Moore, all of Somerville; Willie J. Moore of Houston, Douglas Moore of Giddings; seven daughters, Joeleen Brown of Houston, Eurlene Moore of Somerville, Willie Lois Duncan of Houston, Mary Moore of Somerville, Barbanett Stevenson of Somerville, Hester Reid and Annette Harris, both of Austin; one brother, Ester Moore of Brenham; 39 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Services for Billy J. Cunningham, 58, of Bryan are set for 11 a.m. Saturday at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Bryan. The Rev. Raymond Clayborn of New Hope Baptist Church will officiate. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Friday and 8 to 9:30 a.m. Saturday at Daniel & Son Funeral Home in Bryan and from 10 a.m. to service time Saturday at the church.
Mr. Cunningham died Sunday at Mesquite Medical Center in Mesquite.
He was a lifelong resident of Bryan and was an electrical engineer. He attended Prairie View A&M University. He was a Baptist.
Survivors include his two sons, Reginald Damon Cunningham and Billy Joe Cunningham, II, both of Dallas; his daughter and son-in-law, LaMonica and Aaron Newman of Dallas; six brothers and sisters-in-law, Inez Cunningham of Dallas, Leroy and Glenda Cunningham of Dallas, Curtis and Geraldine Cunningham of San Jose, Calif., Lawrence and Laverne Cunningham of Bryan, Frank and Cynthia Cunningham of Bryan, David Cunningham of Bryan; five sisters and brothers-in-law, Linda and Jerry Guyden of Teaneck, N.J., Yvonne and Gary Evans of Bryan, Sherryl Cunningham of Bryan, Vita and George Parker of Missouri City, Ramona and William Reid of Bryan; and his mother, Ruby Cunningham of Bryan.

Mr. Nemec died Tuesday at Sherwood Health Care Center.
He was a lifelong resident of Bryan. He was an radio engineer for WTAW for many years. He served in the U.S. Air Force. He was a graduate of Radio Teletype Operator School.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Rose Nemec.
Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law, Bubba and Shelly Nemec of Bryan; three daughters and sons-in-law, Mary and Louis Davis, Wanda and Rod Boyles, all of Austin, Kim and Bruce Bailey of Bryan; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Frances Ligget, and Joan and Joe Colquitt, all of Houston; 11 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

She was born in Taylor, Texas, and was a homemaker. She was a member of the Brethren Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ben A. Fillip; and three sons, Henry Fillip, Louis Fillip and Charles Fillip.

Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Sunday and from 8 a.m. to the time of the services Monday at the funeral home.
A prayer service will be at 7 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Ms. Sanchez died Thursday in San Marcos, Texas.
She was a lifelong resident of Bryan.
