Dearly loved husband of the late Margaret, much loved dad of Brian, Eric and Margaret, dear father-in-law to Tommy, Pat and Margaret and a loving grandad, great-grandad and a dear brother-in-law. Funeral service at St. Mary's Parish Church, Barnard Castle on Thursday, January 10 at 2.00 p.m., followed by interment in the cemetery. Friends please meet at the church. Family flowers only please, if desired, donations may be given on the plate provided in the church for the Friends of the Richardson Hospital.

COWIE - (Belmont) Suddenly on December 27. Raymond (Ray), aged 63 years, a devoted husband of Margaret, treasured dad of Vicki and Nicola, father-in-law of Joe and Andy, also loving grandad of Maggie and very sadly missed by all family and friends. Funeral to take place tomorrow, Thursday, January 3. Would friends and family please meet for service at St. Mary Magdalene Church, Belmont at 11.15 a.m., followed by private cremation at Durham Crematorium and afterwards at Ramside Golf Club.

COX - December 30, peacefully after an illness bravely borne, surrounded by his loving family. Alan, aged 77 years, of Darlington, beloved husband of Marjorie, a dearly loved dad of Geoffrey and Elaine, a much loved grandad of Emily, Jake, Katie and Rebecca, and a friend to many. Funeral Thursday, January 10. Would friends please meet for service in Darlington Crematorium at 1.45 p.m. Family flowers only please. Dora, aged 82 years, beloved wife of the late Fred, a much missed mam of Joe, Alison, Leslie and the late Stephen, sister to Norma and Tom, also a dear grandma and great-grandma. Friends please meet for service at Sherburn Methodist Church, on Tuesday, January 8 at 1.00 p.m., followed by interment at Shadforth Cemetery. Family flowers only please with donations kindly accepted by The National Childrens' Home and The British Lung Foundation.

DUXFIELD - (Crookhall) Peacefully on December 29. Jean, aged 74 years, beloved wife of the late Bob, loving mother and mother-in-law to Robert and Gemma, devoted grandma of Henry. Will be sadly missed by all her loving family and friends. Friends please meet for service at Consett Methodist Church on Monday, January 7 at 10.00 a.m, prior to interment at Castleside Cemetery 10.45 a.m. No flowers please. Donations gratefully received will be sent to Wessex Cancer Trust.

Margaret Jane (nee Tinkler), aged 77 years, dearly beloved wife of the late Frank, much loved mam of Harold and Audrey, mother-in-law of Wendy and Harry, also grandmother of Clare, Paul and Mark. Will friends please meet for service in Wooley Terrace Methodist Chapel at 2.00 p.m. on Thursday, January 10, followed by cremation at Durham.

EDWARDS - Albert Ellis (Alby), aged 75 years, died peacefully at home in Whitby on December 23, 2007. Much loved father of Gillian Patchett and loving husband of Averil, loving grandad and great-grandad. Sadly missed

ELLISON - December 28, (suddenly, in hospital), of Bishop Auckland. Brenda Anne (nee Swainston), aged 67 years. Loving wife of Vince dearly loved mam, mother-in-law, nana, sister and sister-in-law. Friends please meet for service in St. Andrew's Church, South Church on Monday January 7, at 2.20 p.m. followed by interment in Bishop Auckland Town Cemetery. Flowers to be sent to, 74 Seymour Street, Bishop Auckland. Sadly missed, but not forgotten.

FEATHERSTONE - January 1, suddenly. Margaret Elsie (nee Quarmby), aged 76 years, of Howden-le-Wear, formerly of Crook. Beloved wife of the late Roy, devoted and much loved mam of Carole, dear mother-in-law to Robbie, loving nana of Helen and a dear sister, sister-in-law and aunt. Cortege to leave her daughter's residence in Crook at 1.10 p.m. on Tuesday, January 8 for service in St. Catherine's Church at 1.15 p.m., followed by interment in Crook Cemetery. Will all friends please meet at church.

FOSTER - On December 28, Ada, wife of the late Bob Foster, of Crosby Road, Northallerton, died peacefully. Mother of Peter and Sheila, daughter-in-law of Chris-Anne and grandma of Simon, Peter Junior and Christopher. Funeral service to be held at All Saints' Parish Church, Northallerton on Friday, January 11 at 11.00 a.m., followed by interment at Northallerton Cemetery. Family flowers only please, by request.

Beloved son of the late Robert Emmerson and Edith Mary Garth and a much loved brother, uncle and great-uncle. Funeral service at St Mary's Church, Hutton Magna on Saturday, January 5 at 2.00 p.m., followed by burial in the Churchyard. Friends please meet at the Church. Family flowers only please. Donations if desired may be given in Church for the Haematology Endowment Fund, James Cook Hospital and St. Mary's Church.

GIBSON - On December 30 (peacefully at the Friary Hospital, Richmond), of 55 Woodside, Leyburn. Margaret, aged 89 years, dearly loved wife of the late Fred, very dear mum of Valerie (Lambert), loving gran of Tim and Tracy and a treasured great-gran. Funeral service to be held at St. Matthew's Church, Leyburn on Tuesday, January 8 at 1.00 p.m., followed by private cremation. Family flowers only please, however, donations in memory of Margaret, if so desired, may be given at the service for the Friends of the Friary Hospital, Richmond and St. Matthew's Church. Will friends please meet at the church and accept this intimation.

GILBERT - Formerly Jowett, (nee Laughlin). December 28, 2007, in hospital. Maureen, aged 70 years, of Darlington. Dearly loved wife of the late Maurice, a loving mam of Susan, Diane, Michael and the late Lynne, much loved sister of Michael, greatly loved nana and great-nana. Will be sadly missed by all her friends and family. Funeral Thursday January 10. Would friends please meet 10.15 a.m. for service at Darlington Crematorium

Ronnie, aged 50 years, of Easington Colliery, much loved husband to Karen, a cherished dad, also a devoted grandad and a much loved son, brother and brother-in-law. Cortege to leave his residence Thursday for a service at The Church of the Ascension, Easington Colliery at 11.00 a.m., prior to interment at Easington Colliery Cemetery. Friends are kindly invited. GILLAN - Ronnie (formerly Ball), suddenly on December 26. Will be sadly missed by his brother Jimmy and his sister-in-law Lisa. Always in our thoughts now and forever. Will never be forgotten. Goodnight, God Bless.
