FENWICK - Harry Retired Warrant Officer Harry Fenwick R.A.F. died unexpectedly in America. Memorial Mass Tuesday February 26, 2007 at 11.30 a.m. at The Convent Chapel, St. Michael's R.C. School, Esh Laude, Durham.


FERGUSON - February 19, of Wolsingham (late of Billy Row and Crook). Cecil, aged 78 years, husband of Sheila (nee Sanderson), a father, father-in-law, granda and brother. Funeral private.


GEORGE - February 17, Edward (Ted), aged 77 years, of Winnipeg, Canada, late of Howden-le-Wear and Bishop Auckland. Dear brother of Douglas and the late Michael and Brian.


GILSON - On February 19, peacefully at home, of West Rainton. Charles aged 92 years, a beloved husband of the late Irene, a much loved dad of Alan and Patricia, Keith and Janice, George and Judith, an adored grandad of Katrina, Marie, Nicola, David and Kay, a respected grandad-in-law and a pal to all his great-grandchildren. Friends please meet for service at St. Mary's Church, West Rainton on Monday, February 25 at 2.45 p.m., followed by cremation at Durham. Family flowers only please, with donations kindly accepted by St. Cuthbert's Hospice.


GREEN - Hurworth Place February 18, suddenly after an illness bravely borne, of Cedar Mews. Allan, aged 71 years, a devoted husband to Judith, a loving dad to Sally and dear father-in-law to Phil and a very special grandad to Lillie and Sam. He will be sadly missed by all his family and many friends. Funeral Monday, February 25. Would friends kindly meet for service in All Saints' Church, Hurworth 10.00 a.m., followed by private cremation. Family flowers only please. HALE - February 20, after a long illness borne with great courage and dignity. Dennis, aged 62 years, of Crook, devoted husband of Susan (nee Minto), devoted dad of Judith, dear father-in-law of Paul, a much loved and loving grandad to Christopher and Sarah, also a dear brother, brother-in-law and uncle. Will friends please meet for service in St. Catherine's Church, Crook at 11.00 a.m. on Friday, February 29, followed by cremation at Durham. Floral tributes welcome or, if preferred, a donation can be made to the Haematology Unit at North Tees Hospital. After the service, all are invited for refreshment at The Colliery Inn, Crook.


HAMMOND - February 13, suddenly at home, of Rockwell Avenue Darlington. Leslie, aged 80 years, son of the late Thomas and Mary, loving brother of Betty, Alfie and Tucker and a dear brother-in-law and uncle. Funeral Thursday February 21. Friends please meet for service in St. Andrew's Church, Haughton at 10.45 a.m., followed by private cremation. Family flowers only please.


HANKEY - February 19, peacefully at home with his family after illness borne with great patience and courage. Peter, aged 78 years, of Bishop Auckland, devoted husband of Maureen, beloved dad of Michael, Nicholas, Christopher and Marion, also a much loved and loving grandad to Jonathon, Portia, Victoria and the late Richard. HODGSON - Ernie, late of Thornton-le-Beans, died peacefully in hospital, aged 86 years, on Wednesday, February 20, 2008. He will be sadly missed by his family and many friends. Funeral service will take place at Darlington Crematorium on Thursday, February 28 at 2.15 p.m.

William (Willy) of Osmotherley aged 77 years, a dearly loved husband of Marjorie, father of Michael and Linda, father-in-law of Keith and a loving grandad of Joe and Ben. Funeral service at St. Peter's Church on Monday, February 25 at 11.00 a.m., followed by inter-ment. No flowers. Family to meet at South End. Donations in lieu for the League of Friends and St. Peter's Fabric Fund.


HUTCHINSON - Rita, aged 75 years, of Fishburn. Dear sister of Doris, Barry and the late Eileen, sister-in-law to Harold and Hazel and also a dearly loved aunt. Doreen, aged 84 years, beloved wife of the late Mark, devoted mother of Barry and Keith, dear mother-in-law to Dianne and Susan, also a much loved and loving grandma and great-grandma. ICETON - Mary Josephine Mary (nee Snowden), died peacefully in her sleep in her 92nd year, within the warmth of her family's loving care, following a long illness. Born and bred in Elland, West Yorkshire, Mary married George and moved to Greta Bridge, near Barnard Castle before residing in Hartlepool for over forty years. Loving and beloved wife to George, devoted mother to Steven, Sylvia, Linda and Sheila, adoring grandma to Paul, Glen, Vicki, Kathleen, David, Alexander and Verity and proud great-grandma of Max, Harriet and Charlie. A compassionate matriarch enriched with patience and strength Mary dedicated her life to her family who will always love and remember her with heartfelt gratitude. Funeral service to be held at Holy Trinity Church, Seaton Carew on Thursday, February 21 at 3.00 p.m., followed by private cremation at Stranton Grange Crema-torium. Friends and family please meet at Church. Family flowers only please. Donations in lieu to Holy Trinity Church or Macmillan Nurses, Caroline Street, Hartlepool.

Friends please meet at Sedgefield Methodist Church on Wednesday, February 20 at 10.00 a.m., followed by cremation at Teesside Crema-torium, Middlesbrough at 11.00 a.m.
