CHADWICK - Ronald M., formerly of Peterlee. Passed away at Milton Keynes Hospital on January 6, 2008, aged 81 years. Much loved father of Anne, Ken and David and grandfather to Andrew and Elliott. CONVERY - Sherburn Hill January 9, suddenly in hospital. James (Jimmy), aged 81 years, treasured husband of the late Mary, much loved dad of Angela, Michael and Steven, father-in-law to Neil, Heather and Deborah, also devoted grandad of Liam, Ellen, Reece, Becki, Ryan and Jamie. Funeral to take place on Friday, January 18. Friends please meet for service at St. Cuthbert's Church, Shadforth at 10.45 a.m., followed by cremation at Durham Crematorium. Family flowers only please, by request.


CORK - January 11, peacefully in Ward 5 St James Hospital, Leeds. Rebecca Anne, aged 16 years, dearly loved and precious daughter of Anne and David, most unique sister of Megan Louise and her boyfriend Dan, beloved granddaughter of Nancy and Bill Hutchinson and also the late Tom and Joyce Cork, dearly loved niece of Anne and Chris and Graham and Annie, extraordinary special cousin to Emma, Thomas, Kailani, Luke and Tamsin, very special goddaughter of Susan, Scott, June and Peter and dear friend of Callum, India, Archie, Cesca, Lindsey, Abby, Charlotte, Nicole, Zoe and many more. Funeral Wednesday, January 23. Friends please meet for service in St. Andrew's Church, Haughton at 2.45 p.m., followed by cremation.


COWELL - January 11 (peacefully in hospital, surrounded by his loving family), of Metz Bridge Caravan Site, Middlesbrough (formerly of Spenny-moor). John Stanley (Jacky), aged 67 years, a dearly loved husband of the late Ann, beloved father of Jacky, Shane and Kyla and a much loved father-in-law, grandad, brother and uncle. Cortege leaving family residence Friday for a service in St. Charles R.C. Church, Tudhoe Village at 11.00 a.m., followed by interment in York Hill Cemetery. All welcome. Amy, of Ferryhill, aged 89 years, devoted wife of the late Joe, dearly loved mother of Michael and his wife Jennifer, much loved grandmother of Nicola and Sarah and partners David and Paul, loving aunt of Peter and his partner Julie, great-aunt of Jayne and Philip. Joseph (Joe), aged 78 years, a dear brother of Winnie and the late Nellie, a loving uncle of Derek, Doreen and David, also a dearest great-uncle and great-great-uncle. Mary Elizabeth, aged 76 years, dearly loved sister of Julian, Ruth, Brenda and the late Alan, also a loving and much loved sister-in-law, aunt, great-aunt and great-great-aunt. Will friends please meet for service in Woodhouse Close Church at 2.30 p.m. on Thursday, January 24, followed by cremation at Durham. Family flowers only. DILL - Heather Avice Wife of the late Colonel John de Guerin Dill passed away peacefully at home on January 11, 2008 in her 92nd year. Much loved by her family. Funeral at Felixkirk Church on Monday January 21, at 2.00 p.m. Family flowers only.
