Much loved wife of George, mam of Margaret and Cath, mother-in-law of Stephen and Mike and grandma of Rebecca, Christopher, Paul, Elisabeth and Helen. Cremation to take place in St. Bede's Chapel, Teesside Crematorium on Tuesday January 22, at 1.30 p.m. following onto a service of Thanksgiving at Great Ayton Methodist Church at 2.15 p.m. Family flowers only please. Donations in lieu if so desired to, Great Ayton Methodist Church or The Alzheimers Society.


PRYCE - January 10, formerly of Newton Aycliffe. Ada (Dolly) in her 100th year, beloved wife of the late Edgar, devoted mum of Olwyn and the late Gwyneth, dear mother-in-law to Geoff and John, also a much loved and loving gran and great-gran. Will friends please meet for service in Neville Parade Methodist Church, Newton Aycliffe at 9.50 a.m. on Friday, January 18, followed by cremation at Darlington. Family flowers only by request. Donations may be sent to Oxfam or any donations in church would be for the Residents' Fund at St. Helen's Nursing Home.


PUGH - January 11, (suddenly), of Briar Grove, Trimdon Village. George, aged 70 years. Beloved husband of Madge, a loving dad of Rosemary, Joanne, Lynda and the late Trish, a much loved grandad and great-grandad. Cremation Hartlepool Crematorium Thursday January 17. Friends please accept this intimation and meet for service at St. Mary Magdalene Church, Trimdon Village at 1.00 p.m. All enquiries, East Durham Funeral Services, Tel: (0191) 5864322.


QUICKMIRE - January 11, of Shildon, died peacefully in her sleep, after a long illness. Eva (nee Hunter), aged 81 years, beloved wife of Eddie, much loved mother of Margaret and Marion, mother-in-law to Eric and John, also a loving grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and sister-in-law. Will friends please meet for service in St. John's Church, Shildon at 2.00 p.m. on Friday, January 18, followed by cremation at Durham.


REAY - (Consett) Peacefully on January 14 aged 98 years, Bessie (nee Robson) much loved mother, mother-in-law, grandmother and great grandmother. Friends please meet at Mountsett Crematorium at 12.30 p.m. on Thursday January 24 for service and cremation.


REDDEN - (nee Parkin) On Friday, January 11, peacefully at home, surrounded by her loving family. Joyce, aged 74 years, of Sedgefield, formerly of Fishburn. Dearly beloved wife of Tom much loved mother of Trina and Benny, adored nana of Sancha and Tom, also a dear sister and sister-in-law and beloved friend of Jean. Funeral service to take place on Tuesday, January 22 at 3.00 pm in St. Edmund's Church, Sedgefield prior to cremation at Durham Crematorium. Friends please meet at Church. Family flowers only, by request. Donations, if so desired, to the Cancer Research Fund c/o Trina. God saw you getting weary and did what He thought best. He put His arms around you and took you home to rest.


RIDLEY - January 16, peacefully in hospital, of Bondisle, Stanhope. Laura, aged 95 years, loving mother of Madge, Ken, Ronnie and Norman and a very special nanna. Will friends please meet for service in Bridge End Methodist Chapel, Frosterley on Thursday, January 24 at 1.30 p.m., followed by interment. Family flowers only please. Donations in lieu to the Chapel Funds.


ROBINSON - January 14, of Darlington. Alfred, aged 85 years. Beloved husband of Joyce. Funeral service on Monday January 21, Darlington Crematorium at 9.45 a.m.


ROBINSON - Terry Beloved friend and husband to Allannah, faithful father to Nigel and Simon, their wives Suzanne and Jane and loving grandad to Storm, Saskia, Alison, Andrew, Emily and Zak and brother to Edna. A man of courage and determination, an inspiration to those who knew him. He 'Fought the Good Fight' for 8 years and passed away peacefully on Wednes-day, January 9, 2008. His funeral will take place on Monday, January 21 at St. Andrew's Church, Haughton, Darlington at 1.15 p.m. and afterwards at the Crematorium, Darlington. No flowers, donations to Cancer Research and St. Teresa's Hospice. His special request was: Ladies, no black clothes, be bright and colourful please and gentlemen in 'shiny shoes'!


RODWELL - Marion Gwendoline August 10, 1914 - January 11, 2008, peacefully at home. Funeral to be held at St. Giles' Church, Bowes on Monday January 21 at 1.30 p.m. Family flowers only please. Donations, if desired, to St. Giles' Church.

Brenda, aged 48 years, much loved partner of Brian 'Smiler' Mansell, dearly loved daughter of Elsie and Cyril Selby and beloved sister of Christine. A private family funeral service will be followed by a Memorial Service at St. Mary and St. Alkelda's Church, Middleham on Thursday, January 24 at 1.30 p.m. Family flowers only please. SEMMENS - (Easington Colliery) January 10, suddenly. Duncan, aged 80 years (late of Burdess Bakery). Beloved brother of Claire and Eleanor. Funeral at Holy Trinity Church, Melrose on Thursday, January 17 at 10.30 a.m. No flowers.

Ken, aged 82 years, beloved husband of Louisa, a dearly loved dad of Kenneth, Peter and Paul and a much loved father-in-law and grandad. Funeral service in Richmond Methodist Church on Wednesday, January 23 at 2.15 p.m., followed by committal at Darlington Crematorium. Friends please meet at the church. THOMPSON - January 14, of Denehurst Nursing Home. Lydia Mary, aged 88 years, beloved wife of the late William and much loved mother of Peter and daughter-in-law Joyce. Funeral service at Durham Crematorium on Tuesday, January 22 at 9.00 a.m. Family flowers only.

Stan, aged 80 years, of Northallerton, dearly loved husband of Nellie, a loving father of Susan and Megan and a dear father-in-law, grandad and great-grandad. Funeral service to take place at All Saints' Church, Northallerton on Friday, January 25 at 10.30 a.m., followed by interment.


THOMPSON - January 10, of Lanchester. Christopher, aged 64 years, dearly loved husband of Joan, a much loved dad to Claire and Louise, a loving son of George and Daisy and brother to Roy. Friends please meet for service and cremation at Mountsett Crematorium, Dipton on Wednesday, January 16 at 3.30 p.m. Donations in lieu of flowers may be given after the service for Willowburn Hospice. Friends welcome for refreshments at The Queens Head, Lanchester afterwards.
