SERGEANT October 25 (suddenly), of Fieldhouse Terrace, Haswell. James, aged 60 years, dearly beloved husband of the late Edith (nee Houghton), a much loved dad of James and Dawn and grandad of James, Richard, Carl and Lucy, also a dear brother of Rosie. Friends please meet on Thursday at 2.10 p.m. for service at St. Paul's Church, Haswell. Interment to follow at Easington Village Cemetery.

SHAW October 27, (peacefully, in his sleep), of Newton Aycliffe. Giles, aged 28 years, beloved son of Margaret and Michael, brother of Michelle and Dave, also a loving uncle of Gemma and Laura. Will friends and faimly please meet for service at St. Clare's Church on Tuesday November 4 at 1.15 p.m. prior to private cremation at Darlington.

SMITH October 30 (peacefully), late of Bearpark at the home of her son at Watergate Farm, Brandon Village. Mona, aged 86 years, dearly loved wife of the late Jim, beloved mother of Thomas, Alan, Freddie and the late Ann, a dear mother-in-law, a very dear grandma and lovely grandma Mona to her great-grandchildren. Until recently Mona lived life to the full, a good neighbour and friend, a loyal member of many organisations and for the wonderful outings she organised for over fifty years on Mona's bus. Her final journey will take place on Tuesday November 4. Friends please meet for service in Bearpark Methodist Church at 9.15 a.m. followed by cremation at Durham. Bus provided from the chapel to the crematorium. Friends welcome for refreshments at Bearpark Club afterwards.

Brian Anthony, aged 54 years, a dearly loved husband of Lynn and a much loved dad of Tara, Brian and Donna, also a dearest grandad, brother and well loved uncle. SPARK October 25, peacefully, of Newton Aycliffe. John, aged 85 years, much loved husband of Marjorie, beloved father of Carol and Andy and father-in-law of Debbie. Missed by his grandchildren Natalie, Bret, Mellony, Warren, Clare, Dale and Kate. Well liked by friends and neighbours. He left us as he lived, quietly. SPRESSER Doris Muriel (nee Carter) October 26, peacefully, at West View Lodge. Muriel, in her 94th year (formerly of Trimdon Grange). Beloved wife of the late Frederick, devoted mother of the late John, fond mother-in-law of the late Barry and dearest grandma of the late Jack, much loved mother of Fred, Tom, Maureen and Kathleen, mother-in-law of Ann, Lynn and John and a dearest grandma and great-grandma. Service and cremation to take place in Stranton Grange Crematorium Chapel, Hartlepool on Tuesday at 11.00 a.m. Friends and neighbours are kindly invited, please meet at the Crematorium.
