Beloved wife of the late George and mother of Gordon, Lynne and Ian, also a sister to Joseph and Nancy and sister-in-law to Mary. Friends please meet at St. Mary Magdalene Church, Trimdon Village on Wednesday, January 16 at 11.00 a.m., followed by interment at Trimdon Grange Cemetery.


RECKLESS - Lucy (nee Harrison), aged 95 years, formerly of Bishop Auckland, passed peacefully away at Aston Court Nursing Home on Saturday, January 5, 2008, daughter of the late John and Hannah Harrison, mucgh loved mother of Rosalinde and Nigel, grandmother of Thomas, Robert, James, Ben, Josh and Christopher, great-grandmother of Joseph, Oliver, Jessica, Laura, Alex, Imogen and Lily-Mai. Her funeral service will take place at Streetly Crematorium (West Chapel) on Wednesday January 16 at 3.00 p.m. where all are welcome. Family flowers only please but anyone wishing to make a donation in memory of Lucy for the Guide Dogs for the Blind may send them c/o Ian Hazel Funerals Ltd., 5 Belwell Lane, Sutton Coldfield B74 4AA. REED - January 5, peacefully in his sleep. Roy, aged 80 years, beloved husband of Elsie (nee Marley), a much loved and loving dad, grandad, great-grandad, brother-in-law and uncle. Will friends please meet for service in Durham Crematorium at 12.30 p.m. on Thursday, January 10. Family flowers only. Donations for Hypotropic Cardio Myopathy may, if desired, be left at the crematorium.


REID - Ivy, aged 81 years, of Richmond, Yorkshire died in hospital. Sadly missed by all the family. Cremation Sunderland Crematorium Wednesday January 16 at 11.00 a.m.


RENNISON - Darlington January 6, (suddenly), of Rowan Court. Doug, aged 86 years, (ex Rolling Mills). Dearly beloved husband of Margaret, loved dad of Judith, father-in-law of Brian, devoted grandad of Stephen and Paul and a dear brother-in-law. Funeral Wednesday January 16. Would friends kindly meet for service in Darlington Crematorium 11.15 a.m. Family flowers only please.


RIDLEY - January 8, suddenly at home in Stanhope. Dennis, aged 57 years, beloved son of the late Kenneth and Myra, dear brother of Olive, Dorothy, the late Annie and Harry, also brother-in-law, uncle and great-uncle. Will friends please meet for service in Stanhope Methodist Chapel at 10.00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 15, followed by interment in Crosshill Cemetery.


RIX - January 9, peacefully in Aycliffe Care Home, (formerly of Binchester). Frances, (nee Iveson), aged 93 years. Beloved wife of the late Arthur, (Ben), a dearly loved mam of Billy, Josie, Cliff, Joan, Arthur and the late Benny and Teresa, a loving mother-in-law and a much loved nanna, grandma, great-grandma, great - great-grandma and a dear sister. Cortege leaving daughter's residence Tuesday for a Requiem Mass in St. Charles R.C. Church, Tudhoe Village at 1.30 p.m. followed by interment in York Hill Cemetery. R.I.P.


ROBERTS - December 27, peacefully at home, of Bent House Lane, Sherburn Road. Geordie, aged 82 years, a beloved husband, dad and granda. Friends please meet for service at Durham Crematorium on Wednesday January 9 at 1.00 p.m.


ROBINSON - John (Robbo) Retired police officer, formerly of Richmond, died suddenly January 2. A memorial service will take place on Monday, January 14 at 2.30 p.m. at St. Mary's Parish Church, Richmond to coincide with the service being held in Dorset.


ROBSON - January 7 (peacefully, in Holly Lodge Nursing Home Shildon), of Weardale Walk, Shildon. Ivy (nee Herring) aged 83 years dearly beloved wife of the late Joseph Alan, dearest mother to Paul, Peter and Keith and mother-in-law to Judith, Janet and Avril, also a dearly loved gran, great-gran and auntie. Cremation Tuesday, January 15 at Durham, following a service in St. John's Church, Shildon at 2.30 p.m. Friends please meet at the Church.


ROE - January 6, peacefully at St. Teresa's Hospice, of Barlow Street, Darlington. Margaret, aged 65 years, beloved wife of Wilfred and dearest mum of Debbie and Steven. She came into this world an angel and left this world an angel. Sadly missed by all. Funeral Tuesday, January 15. Friends please meet for service at Darlington Crematorium at 10.45 a.m. Flowers, or if preferred, donations may be sent for St. Teresa's Hospice, The Woodlands, 91 Woodland Road, Darlington, DL3 7UA.

SEVERS - Barbara, aged 70 years, died peacefully at home, in Northallerton on December 31 much loved mother of Linda and Martin, a loving grandmother of Jake and Adam, also dear sister to Joan and sister-in-law to Gerald. A great person who will be sadly missed. Would friends and family please meet for service at Northallerton All Saints' Church on Tuesday, January 15 at 12.45 p.m. Family flowers only. SHUTT - (nee Twynning) Janet Ruby, beloved wife of Roger and a wonderful mother to Danielle and Danen, passed away on January 4, 2008. We will miss her always.
