Mary, aged 87 years, beloved wife of the late Jim, devoted mam of Brenda and the late Derek, dear mother-in-law to Terry and Vera, also a much loved and loving gran to Julie and Victoria. Cortege to leave her daughter's residence at 12.05 p.m. on Tuesday, November 18 for service in Shildon Methodist Chapel at 12.15 p.m., followed by cremation at Darlington. ALLSUP November 5 (peacefully) at Leeming Garth (originally of Boosbeck, Saltburn). Charlotte, aged 92 years, beloved wife of the late Roland (Dental Surgeon of Blackburn), a much loved mother of David and John, mother-in-law of Anne and Margaret, also grandmother of Hilary. The funeral service took place at Darlington Crematorium The family would like to thank all the staff at Leeming Garth and Benkhill Lodge for all the respect and care given to Charlotte during her stay.

BENTHAM November 11, of Quinn Crescent, Wingate. Walter, aged 79 years, treasured dad of Tom, Julia, Gordon and Stewart, dearest father-in-law and a much loved grandad and great-grandad. BESWICK Peter, aged 73 years, of Arena View, Catterick Village, died suddenly in hospital on November 9. Dearly loved husband of Doreen, much loved father of Pauline, dear father-in-law to Alistair and loving grandad of Rebecca. Funeral service at St. Anne's Church, Catterick Village on Friday, November 14 at 1.30 p.m., followed by private cremation. Friends please meet at the church. Ethel Johnson (nee Wade), aged 82 years, dearly loved widow of the late Reginald, treasured mother of Alan, Robin, Richard and Nigel William also of the late Marie, Nina and Adele, a loving mother-in-law, grandmother and great-grandmother, also a dear sister-in-law, aunt, cousin and a friend to many. "Thanksgiving and praise for a wonderful life." Cremation Wednesday, November 19 at Durham, following a service in St. John's Church, Shildon at 12.00 noon. Friends please meet at church. Roy, aged 83 years, loving husband of the late Zena, dearly loved father of Michael, Terry, Susan and Vivian, a sadly missed granda and great-granda, a much loved brother of Ruth and Freda. CHARLTON (formerly Shillito) November 4, in Southwoods Nursing Home, Northallerton (formerly of Stanley, Wakefield and Morton-on-Swale). Mary (nee Brook), aged 89 years, wife of Ronald and mother of Brenda. Funeral service and cremation to be held at Darlington Crematorium 1.15 p.m. on Friday, November 14. No flowers, but donations if wished may be given for the Alzheimers Assoc-iation.

CHARLTON Gladys, aged 71 years, of Fairfield, Evenwood, died peacefully, at home on November 9. Beloved daughter of the late Mary Charlton, much loved sister of Betty, Freda, Malcolm and Brian and a dear aunt, great-aunt and cousin. At Gladys' request her funeral service will take place at Evenwood Pentecostal Church (formerly Evenwood Methodist Chapel) on Thursday, November 13 at 10.30 a.m., followed by interment in Hamsterley Cemetery. COWAN Sydney Plumpton, passed away peacefully on November 7 at Harrogate.
