Will friends please meet for service in Bishop Auckland Methodist Church at 2.30 p.m. on Wednesday, November 26, followed by cremation at Durham. Flowers may be sent c/o Gibson Funeral Services or, if preferred, donations can be left in the church for the Butterwick Hospice, Bishop Auckland.

GREEN November 13 (in hospital), of Witton Gilbert, Durham. Jimmy, aged 79 years, dearly loved husband of the late Ivy and a dear brother, uncle and great-uncle and friend to many. Friends please meet for service at Durham Crematorium on Thursday, November 20, at 1.00 p.m. Family flowers only.

HAGAN November 18 (peacefully in hospital), of Middlestone Moor. Harriet (nee Spence), aged 84 years, devoted wife of the late Peter, a much adored mam of Peter and Marilyn, a dearly loved mother-in-law of Anna and Tony and a special grandmother of Simon and Victoria. Would friends please meet at Durham Crematorium Monday for a service and committal at 3.00 p.m.

HARDAKER (nee Nunn) November 19, (peace fully in hospital with her sons at her beside), of Watson Road, Newton Aycliffe. Joyce, aged 80 years. Beloved wife of the late Victor John, a loving mother of David and Ben (Clive), also a much loved grandmother, great-grand mother and sister of Walter. The funeral service will take place on Wednesday November 26, 2.30 p.m. at St. Clare's Church, prior to cremation at Darlington Crematorium. No floral tributes by request. Donations in lieu may be made to, Cancer Research, c/o, Lloyds Bank, Skinnergate, Darlington. DL3 7ND.

HARTLE November 19 (peacefully at his home), Rose Cottage, West Burton. William Stanley, aged 76 years, deary loved husband of Mary, much loved father of David, Sandra and Christine, father-in-law of Nigel and Michael and a very dear grandad to Emma, Stephen, Charlotte and Owen. A private family cremation will be followed by a Service of Thanksgiving at St. Andrew's Church, Aysgarth on Tuesday, November 25 at 2.00 p.m. No flowers please. Donations, if desired, to be shared between local Macmillan Nurses and The British Heart Foundation (Plate in Church). Friends please meet at the Church.

HEWITT November 12 (suddenly, but peacefully in his sleep), late of Finchale Square, St Helens, Bishop Auckland. William Maurice, in his 81st year, beloved husband of the late Ruth and Ruby, dear dad of Ann, Leslie, Maureen and step-dad of Ann, Jim, William and David, dear father-in-law, brother and brother-in-law, dearest grandad, grandpa and great-grandpa. Would friends please meet for service in St. Helen Auckland Church on Friday, November 21 at 1.45 p.m., followed by cremation at Darlington Crematorium. Where e'er you tread the blushing flowers shall rise.

HILL November 13, (peace fully, in hospital), of Norby Estate, Thirsk, (formerly of Thornton Stud). Alan, aged 70 years, darling husband of Enid Maisie, loving brother, uncle and great-uncle. The funeral service will be held at St. Mary's Church, Thirsk on Monday November 24, at 12.30 p.m. followed by private cremation. Family flowers only please. Leonard, aged 75 years, beloved husband of Angela, a dearly loved stepfather, grandfather, brother, uncle, great-uncle and a friend to many. Funeral Thursday. Audrey Elizabeth (nee Bentham), aged 83 years, beloved wife of the late Robert, loving mother of Robert, Phillip, Christine, Janice and the late Audrey, a dear mother-in-law, also a much loved nanna and great-nanna. Funeral service to take place on Thursday, November 20 at Holy Trinity Church, Wingate at 12.15 p.m., prior to interment at Station Town Cemetery. Friends invited, please meet at the Church.
