Brian, aged 44 years, devoted and precious partner of Patricia, darling and precious dad of Kate, Michael and Lucy, loving son of Norman and Margaret, dearest brother of Barry, a special brother-in-law, uncle and cousin and also a dear friend to many. Service to be held in Holy Trinity Church, West Cornforth on Tuesday, December 30 at 10.30 a.m., followed by interment in West Cornforth Churchyard. He did not know that death was near, he said goodbye to none He left this world without a fear, his duty was well done. But however long our lives may last, whatever lands we view Whatever joy or grief be ours, we will always think of you.

George Samuel Keers, of Ripon, beloved husband of Pat, much loved father of Margaret and Ian, father-in-law of Sue and the late John and loving grandfather of Barbara, Sharon, Steven and Sophie. Service and committal at Ripon Cathedral on Friday, January 2 at 1.30 p.m., followed by private cremation. Family flowers only please. Donations, if desired, may be given to the Royal British Legion Lister House, Ripon. A plate will be provided at the service.

KERR Allan Marshall, C.Eng. F.I.M.A.R.E., died on December 16, aged 69 years, in hospital. Beloved husband of Judy (formerly Crosthwaite) and previously of Joan who died in 1988, father of Allan and David and step-father to Philippa, Belinda and Adam and gramps to his grand-children. Formerly of Greenock, Linlithgow and Middlesbrough, having been involved in shipping all his adult life and especially the towage industry, which he was proud to serve in various capacities. Funeral service on December 29 at 1.15 p.m. at All Saints' Church, Rudby, followed by private family cremation at Teesside Crematorium. No flowers by request and no donations.

KIRKPATRICK George December 14, 2003, suddenly and without pain, at home, darkness came upon George, aged 53 years, previously of Moorside Crescent, Co. Durham and latterly residing in Musselburgh. Dearly beloved son of Caroline and the late George and loving brother of Thomas. He is now at peace with himself and the world. A funeral service will be held at Seafield Crematorium on Wednesday, January 7 at 12.00 noon to which all family and friends are welcome.
