GREEN December 29 (peacefully at Hartlepool Hospice), of Wellfield Road, Wingate. Joseph (Joe), aged 88 years, beloved husband of Jessie (nee Green), dearly loved father of Trevor and the late Derek, dearest father-in-law of Lorna and Vineetha, also a devoted grandad of Stuart, Nigel and the late Katy. Cortege leaving residence Friday at 10.50 a.m. Relatives and friends please meet at St. James' Church, Castle Eden for service at 11.00 a.m., followed by private cremation at Hartlepool. Family flowers only please. Donations, if so desired, to Macmillan Nurses or Hartlepool Hospice, c/o Speckman's Funeral Service, 25 Front Street, Wingate. Sadly missed by all who knew him. 'He lived his life to the full'. Following the church service, relatives, friends and neighbours are kindly invited to Hardwick Hall Manor Hotel, Hesleden for refreshments.

HOPSON December 31, of New Acres, Ushaw Moor. Frederick James, aged 78 years, beloved husband of the late Vera, loving father of Julie and Paul, father-in-law of David and Lynda, much loved granda of Steven, Adam, Murrie and Gillon and a dear son-in-law of Emily. Friends please meet for service in St. John's Church, Meadowfield on Monday, January 12 at 10.45 a.m., followed by cremation at Durham. Friends welcome for refreshments at Meadowfield Club afterwards. Family flowers only please. Donations, if desired, may be given at church in envelopes for Cancer Research U.K.

HYLAND Thomas Bertram (Bert of Norton). Peacefully in hospital on December 31, aged 87 years, beloved husband of the late Doris, (Dot), will be sadly missed by all. Funeral service to be held in St. Bede's Chapel, Teesside Crematorium on Wednesday January 14, at 2.00 p.m. Friends please meet at the crematorium.

JONES December 30 (peacefully), of Stanhope. Joe, loving husband of the late Clara, dearly loved brother of Vernon, Ruth, Winifred and the late George and a sadly missed uncle. KEANE John (Jack) December 31, (peacefully, in hospital). Jack, aged 87 years, of Stockton. Dearly loved husband of the late Nancy, father of Barry and father-in-law of Maureen. Funeral service and cremation to take place in The Chapel of St. Hilda, Teesside Crematorium on Saturday January 10, at 10.45 a.m. Friends please meet at the crematorium chapel followed by a reception in The Blue Bell Hotel, Middles brough. PENMAN December 27, peacefully in hospital. Margaret, of Bishop Auckland, aged 72 years. Funeral Friday, January 9. Will friends please meet for service at Darlington Crematorium at 9.15 a.m., prior to cremation.

PHEASANT December 30, in Etherley Lodge, Low Etherley, Bishop Auckland, formerly of Sunniside, Tow Law. Elsie, aged 81 years, a dear mother, sister and aunt. Will friends please meet for service in St. Cuthbert's Church, Etherley at 10.40 a.m. on Friday, January 9, followed by cremation at Durham.

RICHARDSON Catherine Elizabeth, aged 91 years, formerly of Cecil Road and Grove Park, Barnard Castle, died peacefully at Beaconsfield Court Care Home on December 28. Beloved wife of the late George, sister-in-law of Helena and a dear aunt and great-aunt. Funeral service at Darlington Crematorium on Friday, January 9 at 1.45 p.m. Friends please meet at the crematorium chapel. Family flowers only, if desired, donations may be given at the crematorium chapel for the Beaconsfield Court Residents' Fund.

RUDKIN December 31, of Morson Avenue, Crook. Elsie, aged 94 years, beloved wife of the late Harry, loving mother of Jeffrey and daughter-in-law Margaret, dearest gran to Cathryn and Angela and great-gran to Craig and Lucy. Will friends please meet for service in Durham Crematorium at 10.00 a.m. on Friday, January 9.

TAYLOR December 30. Callum, aged 8 months, died following a tragic accident on December 27 at West Cornforth. Beloved son of Katrina and Brian, loving brother of Thomas and Lottie. He will be laid to rest on Monday January 12, at 11.15 a.m. at Darlington Crematorium.

William (Billy), aged 83 years, devoted husband of the late Betty and loving father of Valerie, a much loved father-in-law, grandad, great-grandad, brother, brother-in-law and uncle. Cortege leaving 5 Rydal Grove, West Auckland for service in West Auckland Methodist Church at 1.15 p.m. on Thursday, January 8, followed by interment in West Auckland Cemetery. PLUMPTON On November 12, suddenly at Huddersfield (formerly of Masham). Michael H.T., aged 46 years, beloved son of Arthur and Evelyn. Funeral service and interment at St. Mary's Church, Masham on Wednesday, February 11 at 2.30 p.m. Donations, if desired, for The British Legion, Lister House, Ripon (plate in church).
