Interment Thursday, January 29 in St Cuthbert's R.C. Churchyard. Cortege leaving residence at 12.45 p.m. for a Requiem Mass in St. Cuthbert's R.C. Church, Crook at 1.00 p.m. Friends please meet at church. Floral tributes may be delivered to The Co-operative Chapel of Rest, Hope Street, Crook. R.I.P

APPLETON On January 21, peacefully, aged 80 years, John Hubert Appleton, of Rainton, Thirsk, beloved husband of the late Ruby, much loved father of Judy, Tom and Chris, father-in-law of Tony, Sheila and Karen and loving grandfather of Richard, Stuart, Joanne, Charles, Helen, James and Simon. Dear brother of Joyce and the late James. Service at the Methodist Church, Rainton on Monday, January 26 at 1.30 p.m., followed by interment at the Parish Church, Baldersby St. James. Family flowers only please. Donations, if desired, may be given to the Methodist Church and Cancer Research. A plate will be provided at the service.

Pat, aged 56 years, a dearly beloved wife of Ken, a loving mother of Terry and Stephen, dearest daughter of Rene, a dear mother-in-law, stepmother, sister and also a devoted nana. Cremation Hartlepool Crematorium on Thursday. Beloved husband of Joan, a dearly loved and respected father, grandfather and father-in-law, also brother, brother-in-law and uncle. Respected by all who knew him. Requiem Mass on Monday January 26, at St. William's R.C. Church, Barton Street, at 12 noon, prior to interment at West Cemetery. Family flowers only. BRUCE Jasper Peacefully on January 16, (in hospital), aged 86 years. Jasper, of Yohden Dean Care Home, (formerly of Trimdon). Much loved husband of Violet, dearest father, father-in-law and grandad. CLARKSON As the result of the sudden death on January 20 of Mr. William (Bill) Clarkson of Shildon, the service for the late Joan was cancelled on Tuesday, January 20. A service will now be held for Joan and William in Shildon Methodist Chapel at 2.30 p.m. on Tuesday, January 27, followed by cremation at Durham. Family flowers only. Donations in lieu for the Imperial Cancer Research may be left in chapel. Joan and William were devoted parents of Susan and Gary, good friends to Micky and loving grandparents of Gareth. They will be sadly missed by all family and friends. Will friends please meet at chapel.

Henry, aged 82 years, beloved husband of the late Mary (nee Lord), dearly loved father of Jean, Brian, Ken, Linda and Joyce, dearest father-in-law and a much loved grandad and great-grandad. Annie (Ann), aged 83 years, beloved wife of the late Jack, a dearly loved mam of Melven and Bridget and a much loved gran and great-gran. Would friends please meet in St Charles' Church, Tudhoe Thursday for a Requiem Mass at 9.15 a.m., followed by committal at Durham Crematorium. On whose soul sweet Jesus have mercy. R.I.P

DODSWORTH West Rainton January 13 (peacefully, in hospital). Bob (ex Byker Lad), aged 60 years, devoted husband of Joan, also a much loved dad of Sally and Simon. Mary (nee Horner), aged 72 years, dearly loved wife of Bob, a devoted mother of Jean, Shirley, Pamela, Christine, June and the late Paul, also a dear mother-in-law, a much loved grandma, great-grandma and a dear sister. Interment Friday, January 23 in Shildon Cemetery, following a service in St Thomas' R.C. Church, Shildon at 2.15 p.m. Friends please meet at Church.

Edith Mary, aged 78 years, dearly loved wife of Ernest, a much loved mother of Granville, Kathleen and Philip, mother-in-law of Elizabeth, John and Jayne and a very dear gran of Rachel, Paul and Hannah, Mark, Andrew and Stewart, Ruth and Sarah. The funeral service will take place at St. Mary's Church, Thornton Watlass on Tuesday, January 20 at 2.00 p.m. Family flowers only please. Donations, if desired, for St. Mary's Church and Marie Curie Nurses.

FIRBY Margaret Selina, aged 66 years, on January 17, peacefully at home with her family, at 51 Eden Crest, Gainford. Dearly loved wife of Maurice, much loved mam of Susan and the late Judith, dear mother-in-law of Kevin and Alan and special nana to Sarah, Rebecca, Christopher and Thomas. At Margaret's request a private funeral service will take place at St. John's Church, Lynesack, followed by interment in the cemetery.

Lena, aged 95 years, dearly loved wife of the late Robert Sydney, loving mother of Isabel and Marion, dear mother-in-law of Arthur and David, also a treasured granny to Mary, Heather, Ruth, Richard and Catherine.
