PARKER January 18 (peacefully, in hospital). Muriel, aged 88 years, formerly of The Byway, Darlington. Beloved wife of the late Peter and mother to the late Margaret, dearly loved nana to Rosalyn and Linda, a much loved grandma to Christopher, Philip, Scott and Emily. Sadly missed by all the family. PARKIN Malcolm, aged 64 years, of 3 Swan Street, Evenwood, died peacefully in hospital, on January 17, after a long illness borne with great courage and dignity. Dearly loved husband of June, much loved dad of Sharron and Gary, dear father-in-law to Gordon and Nicola, loving granda of Ryan, Hayley and Jasmine and will be sadly missed by all his family and friends. PETTY January 19, peacefully at home in Bishop Auckland, after a short illness. Ann, aged 72 years, beloved wife of Don and the late Ken Robson, formerly of Etherley Grange. Dearly loved mother of Ian, Judith and Gillian, devoted granny of Sally and Richard, much loved mother-in-law to Malcolm and Kate, also a dear sister, aunt, friend and neighbour who will be sadly missed. Will friends please meet for service in St. Anne's Church, Market Place, Bishop Auckland at 11.00 a.m. on Monday, January 26, followed by cremation at Durham. By her own request, flowers may be sent (no lilies) or, if preferred, donations can be given c/o the family or Gibson Funeral Services for Ann's chosen charity. Black clothing not necessary.

POWELL John Trevor, aged 87 years, died peacefully on January 19, at Nightingale Hall Nursing Home, Richmond (formerly of Gilling Road). Beloved husband of the late Mary, much loved father to David and the late Nicholas, dear father-in-law to Judy and Veronique, loving grandpa to Fiona, Nicola, Neil, Linda, Alice, Emma and Celia and great-grandfather to Jacqueline.
