WILSDON Dr. Ralph B.N., of Great Ayton, North Yorkshire, husband of Marigold and of the late Marianne, father of John, Richard and Tim, died peacefully on January 14, 2004, aged 88 years. Service was held on Wednesday, January 21 in St Bede's Chapel, Teesside Crema-torium. No flowers by request. Donations, if desired, to The British Humanist Association, 1 Gower Street, London WC1E 6HD.

WILSON Enid January 17 (peacefully, in hospital). Enid, aged 65 years, dearly beloved sister, sister-in-law and auntie. Service will take place at St. Mary's Church, Farndale on Tuesday, January 27 at 2.00 p.m., followed by burial into St Mary's Churchyard. Will friends please meet at Church. Enquiries to the Co-operative Funeral Service, Park Lane, Guisborough. Tel (01287) 637700.

WOOD Framwellgate Moor January 17 (peacefully, in hospital). Mary (nee Camsell), aged 72 years, a much loved wife of Bill, devoted mam, nana and great-nana. A wonderful lady who will be sadly missed by all her loving family and friends. Friends please meet for service and cremation in Durham Crematorium on Friday, January 23 at 9.30 a.m.

WOODFINE January 16, peacefully at home, after a short illness, of Benbow Walk, Coundon. June, aged 58 years, dearly loved wife of Ken, devoted mother of Tracy, Michael and Nicola and mother-in-law to Greg, also a much loved grandma and a dear sister. Cremation Thursday, January 22 at Durham, following a service at St. James' Church, Coundon at 10.00 a.m. Friends please meet at church.

WRESSELL January 18, (after a long illness), of Parkside, Spennymoor. Millie, (nee Price), aged 75 years, dearly loved wife of the late Duncan, a much loved mam of Helen and the late Stephen, a loved mother-in-law, nana, sister, sister-in-law, aunt and friend. Would friends please meet at Durham Crematorium on Monday for service and committal at 3.30 p.m. Family flowers only please. Donations in lieu may be left at the crematorium.

ADAMSON January 26, (peacefully), at Stanton Hall Residential Home, Darlington. Mildred Annie, aged 97 years, dearly loved aunt of Doreen and Derek Drummond and will be sadly missed by her friends. Funeral Tuesday. Friends please meet for service at Darlington Crematorium at 11.15 a.m.

ALDERSON January 21 (suddenly), of St. Paul's Road, Trimdon Colliery. John, aged 78 years, dearly loved husband of Edith and devoted dad of Susan and dear father-in-law of the late Brian, also a dear brother and brother-in-law. Cortege leaving residence Wednesday at 10.00 a.m. Friends please meet at Durham Crematorium for service and cremation at 10.30 a.m.

ANDERSON January 24, in University Hospital of North Durham. Elsie, aged 96 years, of Coxhoe. A devoted wife of the late Thomas, a dearly loved mother of Audrey, mother-in-law of Will-iam, also much loved grandmother of Kevin, Colin and the late Trevor and great-grandmother to Christopher and Adrian. Funeral to take place on Friday, January 30. Will friends please meet for service at St. Mary's Church, Coxhoe at 10.30 a.m., followed by interment in Coxhoe Cemetery. R.I.P

APPLETON On January 27 (peacefully at the Friary Hospital, Richmond), of 23 Langhorne Drive, Reeth. Isabella, aged 78 years, dearly loved wife of Walter, a very dear sister, sister-in-law and auntie. Funeral service to be held at St. Andrew's Church, Grinton on Tuesday, February 3 at 1.30 p.m., followed by private cremation. No flowers at her own request, however donations in lieu, if so desired, may be given for Yorkshire Cancer Research for which a plate will be present at the service. Will relatives and friends please meet at the church and accept this intimation.

ARMSTRONG Daniel Scott, suddenly on January 27, 2004. Much loved son of Marion and Ray, brother of Carl. Funeral at All Saints Church, Northallerton on Wednesday February 4, at 11.30am.

Annie, aged 73 years, beloved wife of the late David, much loved mam of David, loving mother-in-law of Irene, devoted nana of Louise, Andrew and Richard and also a dear great-nana of Nathan, Lewis and Bradley. Service at Durham Crematorium Chapel on Tuesday at 9.30 a.m.

BAIRD January 20 (peacefully, in hospital), of Cedar Crescent, Willington. John, aged 45 years, much loved son of the late Audrey and Daniel, also a dear brother and uncle. Would friends please meet for service in St. Stephen's Church at 2.30 p.m. on Thursday, followed by interment in Willington Cemetery.

BANTHORPE January 26, (suddenly, in hospital). Herbie, aged 69 years, of Leeming Village, (formerly of Norby, Thirsk), dear partner of Hilda, a dearly loved father of Heather, Shirley, Peter and Stuart, a much loved grandfather and great-grandfather. Friends please meet for service at St. Mary's Church, Thirsk on Thursday, February 5, at 1.15 p.m. prior to private cremation. Family flowers only please.

BARLEY January 24, suddenly but peacefully, at home, in Brompton. Margaret Ruth, aged 66 years, dearly loved daughter of the late Christopher Arthur and Edith Barley, of Sinderby. Loving sister of John, Brenda and Carol and the late Peter, Gordon and Geoff. Funeral service to be held in St. Helen's Church, Ainderby Steeple 2.00 p.m. Monday, followed by private cremation. Family flowers only but donations, if wished, for church funds and Mencap.

BARRAS January 25 (peacefully, in hospital), of St. Paul's Gardens, Spennymoor. Laura, aged 82 years, much loved wife of the late Thomas, dear mother of Stanley and the late Prudence, also beloved sister and sister-in-law. Would friends please meet for service in St Paul's Church on Monday at 11.45 a.m., followed by interment at Rock Road Cemetery.

BARRAS Laura, died January 24. She was such a special person with a heart of Gold. Laura is loved very much and will be missed always. Lots of love forever Jacqueline, Kelvin, Jody and Bethany xxxx.

BISHOP January 24 (suddenly), of Waters End, Gainford. John Norman, aged 82 years, dearly loved husband of Dorothy, dear father of Alison, Nicholas, Martyn and the late Christopher, step father of Philippa and Michael, much loved grampy of Gemma, Chloe and Jack. William, (Bill), aged 82 years, a beloved husband of Joan, a much loved dad of Keith, Ian and Susie, respected father-in-law of Lou, Marie Chris and Stevie, also a loving and devoted grandad of Sarah and Colin, Ben, Kian, Kasia and Gaelan. Service at St. Mary's R.C. Church, Newton Aycliffe on Friday January 30, at 10.00 a.m., followed by interment in St. Andrew's church yard, Aycliffe Village. Will friends please meet at church.

BROOKS Cath, passed away peacefully on January 17, aged 88 years, in Tunbridge Wells, formerly of Windsor Court, Bishop Auckland and The Birches, Hurworth. Together again with her beloved Cyril, dearly loved mum of David and Anne, much loved mother-in-law to Joyce and Andy and a very dear granny to Catherine and Alexander. The funeral will take place at St. Dunstan's Church, Southborough on Friday, January 30 at 2.15 p.m., followed by committal at Tunbridge Wells Crema-torium. Flowers may be sent c/o T.W. Doris, aged 91 years, dearly loved wife of the late Charlie, precious mum of Margaret, Charles and Shelagh, a most dearly loved gran of Pauline, Christopher and Mike and great-gran of Simon and Richard and a dear sister of Joan and Herbert. Friends please meet for service at the Salvation Army Citadel, Crook on Friday at 11.00 a.m., followed by interment in Crook Cemetery. Lily (formerly Daniel), aged 97 years, dear wife of the late Arthur Daniel and John Brown, dear mother of the late Madge, mother-in-law of the late Ronald and also a dearest nan, great-nan and great-great-nan to all the family. Brian, aged 61 years, dearly loved husband of Audrey and loving father of Michael and Hazel, father-in-law to Lynn and Andrew and devoted grandad to Joseph and Daniel.
