AINSLEY On April 20, peacefully in hospital, of Newton Hall. Edward, aged 67 years, dearly loved husband of Elspeth, much loved father of Ian. Friends please meet at Durham Crematorium 10.00 a.m. Wednesday, April 30, for service and cremation.

Rachel, aged 60 years, dearly loved wife of Mervyn, much loved mam of Stephen, Geoffrey and the late Daphne, dear mother-in-law of Janet and Suzanne, also a dear nana. Sadly missed by all of her family and friends. Gladys, aged 94 years, beloved wife of the late Frank Cecil, dearly loved mother of Frank and Elizabeth, loving mother-in-law of Margaret and Colin, treasured nana of Steven, Gail and Trudy and great-nana of Josh, Macy and Jemma. APPLEGARTH April 15 (suddenly), of Darlington. David, aged 33 years, treasured dad of Lynsey and Adam, darling son and dearest brother. Funeral Tuesday, April 29. Would friends please meet 2.45 p.m. for service and committal at Darlington Crematorium. David will be sadly missed by all his family and many friends.

Thomas Heslop, aged 79 years, beloved husband of the late Dorothy, dearly loved father of Julia and dear father-in-law of David. Funeral Friday. Friends please meet for service in St. Matthew and St. Luke's Church, Brinkburn Road at 12.30 p.m., followed by interment at the West Cemetery.

BIRD April 17 (suddenly but peacefully, after an illness bravely borne), of Oaklea, Shildon. John (Jack), aged 75 years, beloved husband of Doris, a loving dad to John and Stephen and father-in-law to Helena and Mandy, a dearest grandad to Ethan, Alice, Talia, Jonathan and Lucy, also a much loved brother, brother-in-law and uncle. Cremation Thursday, April 24 at Darlington. Cortege leaving residence at 2.40 p.m., for a service in St. John's Church, Shildon at 2.50 p.m. Friends please meet at church.
