GEDYE Ruth Frances 12.01.86 - 14.02.04 Ruth lost her battle against leukaemia on Valentine's Day. She passed away peacefully in her favourite place; at home, surrounded by her family. She died confident in the faith that had sustained her throughout her life. She is resting in peace. Funeral service at St. Mary's Church, Richmond on Monday, February 23 at 11.30 a.m., followed by private cremation. Friends please meet at the church. If you feel flowers are appropriate, please bring a single flower or donations for Cancer Research U.K. are being accepted by John Blenkiron and Sons Ltd., Funeral Directors, Victoria House, 21 Queens Road, Richmond. DL10 4AJ. Ruth requested that bright clothes are worn (although black trousers are ok) and the boys are excluded from wearing pink!

Kenneth, aged 72 years, dearly loved husband of Mary, loving father of Alistair and Margaret, father-in-law of Clive and Judy, much loved grandfather of Natalie, Martin and Helen and a dear son of Hilda and the late George. Cortege leaving residence at 10.25 a.m. on Tuesday, February 24 for service in Durham Crematorium at 11.00 a.m. Family flowers only please. Donations in lieu to Weardale Community Hospital, plate at the crematorium. Bus provided, leaving from residence.

Olive (nee Painter), aged 80 years, beloved wife of the late Charles, dearly loved mother of Charles, dearest mother-in-law of Jean and a much loved granny of Joncharles and Charlotte Rae. Cortege leaving residence Friday at 12.35 p.m. Friends please meet at Durham Crematorium for service and cremation at 1.00 p.m.

GRAY February 17 (suddenly, in hospital), of Hanover Court, Durham, (formerly of Framwellgate Moor and Tudhoe). Winnie, aged 86 years, beloved wife of the late Jack, a dearly loved mam of Pam and Celia, a dear mother-in-law of Paul and Bill and a much loved nana of Graham, Clare and Lucy and great-nana to Owen. Would friends please meet at Durham Crematorium, Monday for a service and committal at 11.00 a.m.

GRIFFITHS February 16 (peacefully), of Bishop Auckland. Eileen (formerly Short, nee Hutchinson), aged 76 years, loving wife of the late Ted and also the late George Short, dearly loved mam of Valerie, treasured nanna of Lucy, fondly remembered by Simon and Malcolm, also a sadly missed aunt, great-aunt, sister and friend. Friends please meet for service in St. Andrew's Church on Tuesday, February 24 at 11.00 a.m., followed by cremation at Durham Crematorium. Family flowers only please.

HALL February 15 (in hospital), of West End Villas, Crook. Emily, aged 92 years, beloved wife of the late Robert William Hall, will be sadly missed by Joan and all of Emily's family and friends. HARRISON February 20 (peacefully, at home), in Woodham Village, (formerly of Gilesgate Moor, Durham). Sheila Margery, (nee Nelson), aged 68 years. Beloved wife of Les, a loving mam of Neil and also a much loved mother-in-law and grandma. The funeral service will take place on Wednesday, February 25, 1.30 p.m. at Durham Crematorium. All friends are welcome, please meet at the crematorium. Family flowers only please. Donations in lieu may be made at the crematorium for Cancer Research.

HARROP February 18, suddenly, of Darlington (formerly of Newton Aycliffe). Len, aged 56 years, a loved one of Maggie and a much loved dad, grandad and brother who will be sadly missed by his family and friends. Funeral Wednesday. KIRKMAN Sunderland, formerly of Hunwick. Peacefully, in hospital on February 17, aged 80 years. Vivienne, (nee Todd). The devoted wife of John, a much loved mother of Helen and Jane. Vivienne will be sadly missed by all her loving family and friends. The service will be held at Burn Park Methodist Church on Monday, February 23, at 3.00 p.m. prior to cremation at Sunderland Crematorium at 3.30 p.m.

LAMB (Tony), aged 64 years, of Old Eldon, died February 19. Devoted husband of Doris, loving father of Susan, Stephen, Andrew, Craig, Anthony and Nicola, dearly loved brother of Nancy and a devoted grandad and father-in-law. Funeral service in St. Mark's Church, Eldon at 11.30 a.m. on Wednesday, February 25, followed by interment in Bishop Auckland Cemetery. Friends please meet at church. Till we meet again

LISTER On February 14, suddenly in hospital, of Shotton Colliery. Lindsay, aged 87 years, a much loved husband to Chrissie (nee Griffiths), a devoted dad, also a dear father-in-law and a cherished grandad and great-grandad. Cortege to leave residence on Thursday for service in St. Saviour's Church, Shotton at 2.10 p.m., prior to a cremation at Durham Crematorium. Friends are kindly invited, please meet at the church.

LITTLE Emily, formerly of Whitesmocks Avenue, Durham. Died peacefully at Winchester on February 3, 2004, aged 83 years. Dearly beloved wife of Rev'd Eric Little. She will be sadly missed by all. Now in God's care. Thanksgiving service Saturday, February 28, at 2.00 p.m. in St. Cuthbert's Church, Durham. All Emily's friends are welcome, refreshments afterwards in Community Room.
