MEHR-SLATER Charlotte Christine, aged 58 years, of Richmond and Switzerland, left us suddenly on March 12. Mother of Richard and Valerie Mehr, grandmother to Aurelien and Malou, sister to Richard, Rosemary and the late Patricia and their families. 'Much loved and sadly missed.' PEARSON Barbara Phyllis (Biddy) March 13, 2004. Biddy Pearson, aged 83 years, died peacefully at home. Wife of the late Colonel Oscar Pearson and mother of Paul, Nicholson, Quentin and Simon and grandmother to twelve grandchildren. The funeral will be held at St. Peter's and St. Paul's Parish Church, Stokesley on Friday, March 19 at 12.15 p.m., followed by a family service at Teesside Crematorium, St. Bede's Chapel. Mary, aged 85 years, dearly loved wife of Ernest, loving mother of Sheelagh and Robert, dearest grandma to Tracy, Paul, Jamie, Louise, Thomas and Laura. PITCHER Linda, aged 83 years, of Eppleby, died peacefully at Maple Lodge Nursing Home, Catterick on March 15. Beloved wife of the late Sid, much loved mum of Sandra and Derek, dear mother-in-law to Peter and loving nana of Lee, Andrew and Sarah Jane. STEPHENS Edna (nee Hughes) Died peacefully with her family by her side at Bristol, Saturday, March 13, 2004, in her 90th year. Edna was pre-deceased by her husband Henry and son Ian and survived by sons Deric and wife Gloria of Northallerton, Roy and his daughter Suzanne of Burlington, Ontario, Canada, Paul and his wife Helen and grandsons Brad and Ian, of Bristol. Edna spent the latter part of her life in Bristol but her heart was always in Darlington which is where she will be forever laid to rest. Edna was a true lady and an incredible mother who was always there for her family. Until we meet again, thanks for a beautiful life. Private family cremation to take place in Bristol with interment of the ashes and wake to take place in Darlington in the summer.

STUART March 16, peacefully in hospital, of Durham Street, Bishop Auckland. Neville (ex Driving Instructor), aged 61 years, much loved and devoted husband of Ann, a treasured and loving dad of Dean, Kimberley and Melanie, also a very dear son-in-law of Winnie and the late Don. Will friends please meet for service in St. Helen's Church at 11.00 a.m. on Monday, March 22, followed by interment in West Auckland Cemetery. Family flowers only. Donations in lieu may be given for the Cardio Pulmonary Transplant Unit at the Freeman Hospital, c/o the family and Gibson Funeral Services, Cockton Hill Road, Bishop Auckland.
