RIVERS On March 23. Eileen, aged 68 years, a dearly loved daughter of the late Jessie and Elliott Rivers. Sadly missed by Darrel, Joyce and Ainsley. The funeral service will take place on Friday, April 2 at 1.45 p.m. at Darlington Crematorium.

ROBINSON March 27 (peacefully), in The Butterwick Hospice), of Low House Farm, Binchester Lane End. Paul, aged 49 years. Much loved husband of Gloria, a much loved dad of Gavin and Victoria, a very close friend of Craig, adored son of Peggy, a treasured brother and a true friend to all. Would friends please meet for service in St. Paul's Church, Spennymoor at 2.45 p.m. on Friday, followed by cremation at Durham. Family flowers only please. Donations in lieu to, The Butterwick Hospice, Middlefield Road, Stockton-On-Tees.
ROBINSON Paul God saw you getting weary and did what He thought best. He put his arms around you and took you home to rest. Our memories of you will never die. Brother-in-law Dennis, sister-in-law Ann, nephew and niece Mark and Claire.

ROOKE Olive Annie (Ann) March 26, in York Hospital after a brave fight, aged 77 years, of Rye House, Harome. Dearly loved wife of Allan, loved mother of Malcolm, Ian and Jean, granny of Antony, James, Matthew and Fay. Private cremation followed by thanksgiving service at Harome Church at 2.30 p.m. to celebrate and give thanks for Ann's wonderful life. Family flowers only. Donations for Cancer Care, York Hospital and church.

SENIOR March 29 (peacefully, in hospital surrounded by her loving family), of Aged Miners Homes, Sherburn Village. Nora, (nee Smith), aged 72 years. Beloved wife of the late Terry, dearly loved mother of Carol, Eileen, Colin and Brian, a dear mother-in-law Geoff, John and Julie, also a devoted gran (Bungy) and great-gran and sadly missed sister and sister-in-law. Cortege to leave residence on Tuesday at 1.35 p.m. Friends please meet for service at St. Mary's Church, Sherburn Village at 1.45 p.m. followed by cremation at Durham.

SHIPTON On March 31, suddenly at home, late of Crosby Grange. Basil, aged 70 years, a dear brother, brother-in-law, uncle, great-uncle and friend. Funeral service to be held in St. Leonard's Church, Thornton-le-Street 11.30 a.m. Wednesday, April 7, followed by interment. Flowers or donations, if wished, for the Yorkshire Cancer Research and Church Funds.

SMITH March 26, of Bishop Auckland. Sarah (Belle), aged 77 years, beloved wife of the late Douglas, loving mother of Barry and loved by Barry's partner Julie. A private service by her own request has been held in Durham Crematorium. Barry and Julie wish to especially thank neighbours Ron and Flo, without Ron's help and friendship she could not have managed, also Irene for a long standing friendship. Grateful thanks to carer Carol and all home carers, also the dedicated care given by all nursing staff on Ward 9 at Bishop Auckland General Hospital. Thank you to family and friends for all flowers and cards at this sad time.

SPLEVINS March 30, at West Lodge Nursing Home, Crook, formerly of Esh Winning. Connie (nee Young), aged 88 years, dearly beloved wife of the late Harry, a dearly loved mother of Joan and Brian, dear mother-in-law of Judith and the late Bob and a dear gran and great-gran. Private cremation.

SPROAT March 26 (peacefully at home, after a long illness), of Stobb Cross Road, West Cornforth. Terence, aged 75 years. Beloved husband of Enid, much loved dad of Stephen and Christine, dear father-in-law of Ann and John, devoted grandad of Marc, Aaron, Melanie, Nichola and Adam. Would friends please meet for service in West Cornforth Salvation Army Hall at 1.15 p.m. on Friday followed by cremation at Durham. Peace after pain

STABLER March 28, suddenly, of Stapleton. Betty, aged 76 years, dearly loved wife of the late Reg, much loved mum of Valerie and mother-in-law of Ernie. Funeral Tuesday. Friends please meet for service in St. Peter's Church, Cleasby at 1.00 p.m., followed by cremation. Flowers may be sent, or donations, if preferred, may be left at church for St. Peter's Church Funds.

STONEHOUSE March 30 (peacefully), of Eldon Lane. Tot, aged 73 years, loving husband of the late Cissie, much loved dad of Marion and Barbara, dear father-in-law of Trevor and Ray, devoted granda of Christopher, Steven, Tom and Samantha, dearest brother and brother-in-law. Friends please meet for service in St. Mark's Church on Wednesday April 7, at 12.00 noon, followed by cremation at Durham Crematorium. Family flowers only please. Donations in lieu if so desired may be sent to, The Stroke Unit, Ward 4, Bishop Auckland General Hospital.

Dear wife of Edward, loving mother of Andrew and Karen, mother-in-law of Frances and John, a very special grandma of Elliot, also of Rebecca and dear sister of Patricia. Service and interment at St. Cuthbert's Church, Sessay on Wednesday April 7, at 2.00 p.m. Donations if desired to, Yorkshire Cancer and St. Cuthbert's Church.

TAYLOR March 27 (suddenly, at home). Herbert, aged 80 years, of Carrville, Durham. A devoted husband of Margaret and a much loved father of Clifford and Patricia. Carolyn (nee Mills), aged 51 years, much loved mam to Peter, Graeme and Nicole, loving daughter of Alec and Mabel, devoted grandmother of James and Owen, also a much missed sister of Susan and Ray. Funeral Thursday, April 8. Would friends please meet 1.30 p.m. for service at St. Clare's Church, Newton Aycliffe, followed by cremation at Durham Crematorium. Fred, aged 86 years, much loved husband of the late Sally, a dear dad of Doreen and Ian, a devoted grandad of Neil, Alison and Claire and a great-grandad of Theo. Would friends please meet for service in Trinity Methodist Church, Rosa Street at 10.45 a.m. on Friday, followed by cremation at Durham. Friends are welcome to The Green Tree for refreshments afterwards.

WALKER March 21 (suddenly, in Russia), of Ricknall Grange, Aycliffe. Christopher Simon, aged 37 years, dearly loved son of Denis and the late Pamela, brother of Judith, Ann and the late Carolyn.
