Would friends please meet for service in Our Lady Queen of Martyrs R.C. Church, Esh Winning on Thursday, April 22 at 2.45 p.m., followed by cremation at Durham Crematorium. Family flowers only please. Donations in lieu may be given after the service for Marie Curie Cancer Relief and Macmillan Cancer Relief Fund.

MARSHALL (Nettlesworth) April 17, peacefully. Annie, aged 84 years, a loving wife of the late John (Jackie), close friend of Alice, David and Doris. A wonderful lady who will be sadly missed. Friends are invited to the service in St. Philip and St. James' Church, Nettlesworth on Friday, April 23 at 11.15 a.m., prior to cremation in Birtley Crematorium at 12.00 noon.

MASON April 15, of Crook. Vera, aged 84 years, devoted wife of the late Harry, loving mother of Gordon, dearly loved gran of Sally and Tom and mother-in-law to Kate. Service at Durham Crematorium on Friday, April 23 at 2.00 p.m. Family flowers only please. Donations if desired may be left after the service for Ward 14 of the University Hospital of North Durham.

McCONNELL April 21 (peacefully, at home), of Evenwood. Bob, aged 84 years, loving husband of the late Betty, dearly loved father of Bob and Jill and a dear grandfather of Alex and Katherine. Friends please meet for service in St. Paul's Church, Evenwood on Thursday, April 29 at 10.45 a.m., followed by cremation at Darlington Crematorium.

METCALF April 23, at Belmont Grange Nursing Home (formerly of St. Margaret's Court, Durham). Doreen May, aged 94 years, beloved wife of the late Ralph, much loved mother of Cyril, Maureen, Marian, Edwin and the late Derek and John and a loving mother-in-law, grandma, nana and great-grandma. Cortege to leave 125 Moor Crescent for service in North Road Methodist Church on Wednesday, April 28 at 1.00 p.m., followed by interment in South Road Cemetery. Donations in lieu of flowers may be given after the service for the British Heart Foundation. Friends welcome for refreshments at 125 Moor Crescent after-wards.

MILLWARD April 18, of Wayside Court, Bearpark. Christopher, aged 57 years, dearly loved husband of Joan and a dear father of Paul. Friends please meet for service in St. Edmund's Church on Monday, April 26 at 9.45 a.m., followed by cremation at Durham. Donations in lieu of flowers may be given to St. Edmund's Church.

MITCHELL Mary (nee Sellars) formerly of Carrville passed away peacefully on the 12th April 2004 aged 95 years. Beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who will be sadly missed by all family and friends

NEWTON April 16, peacefully, in a Ripon Care Home. Elizabeth (Betty) Newton, formerly of St. Mary's Walk, Thirsk. Beloved wife of the late Ted, much loved mother of Janet and mother-in-law of Keith. Service and committal at St. Mary's Church, Thirsk on Thursday, April 22 at 2.00 p.m., followed by private cremation. Family flowers only please. Donations if desired may be given to the church. A plate will be provided at the service.

PEART Michael, aged 20 years, died suddenly April 19. Beloved son of Michael also the late Donna. Formerly of West Auckland. A dear nephew and cousin. Will be sadly missed.

PUGH April 22 (peacefully, in hospital), of Dunelm Road, Thornley. Frank, aged 73 years, beloved husband of Dorothy, dearly loved father of Stephen, a dear father-in-law of Susan and devoted grandad of James and Rachel. Cortege to leave residence on Wednesday at 2.30 p.m. Friends please meet for service at Durham Crematorium at 3.00 p.m. Family flowers only please. Donations in lieu of flowers, if so desired, to the Stroke Assoc-iation. Plate provided at the Crematorium.

RICHARDSON April 18 (peacefully, in hospital), of Stapleton. Fred, aged 87 years, beloved husband of the late Jennie, a dear father of Joan and Lorna, also much loved father-in-law, grandad and great-grandad. Funeral Thursday, April 29. Will friends please meet for service 2.15 p.m. at the West Cemetery Chapel, Darlington, prior to cremation. Family flowers only please. Donations, if desired, to Cleasby Church. A plate will be provided at the Cemetery Chapel.

RICHARDSON April 18, in Enfield, Middlesex. Jack, aged 83 years, formerly of Ridgeside, Kirk Merring-ton. Beloved brother of Albert, Sarah, Margaret and Betty. Always loved and remembered by all the family in Spennymoor.

RIDLEY Michael Joseph (Mike). Peacefully in hospital on April 15. Mike, aged 66 years, (of Stokesley). Much loved husband of Nancy and a dearly loved dad to Jackie, father-in-law to Andrew and loving grandad to Samantha, also a beloved brother to Dora and Mary. Will be sadly missed. No cards of condolence by family request.

ROSSITER April 8 (after a short illness), in Ireland (formerly of Newton Aycliffe). Miriam, aged 62 years, beloved wife of Charlie, treasured mam of Lesley and Tony, dear mother-in-law of Julie, a much loved nanna to Luke, Sarah and Katie, also a loving sister, daughter-in-law and friend to many. Funeral Friday, April 23. Would friends please meet 11.00 a.m. for service at St. Mary's R.C. Church, Newton Aycliffe, prior to interment at the West Cemetery, Newton Aycliffe.

Geoffrey (Salty), aged 57 years, beloved husband of Heather, devoted dad of Clare and Martin, dearly loved son of Gladys and Fred, also a much loved brother, brother-in-law, uncle, grandad and father-in-law. Will friends please meet for service in Darlington Crematorium at 10.45 a.m. on Thursday, April 22. Family flowers only. Donations in lieu may be left at the Crematorium or with the family for the Cardiac Unit at Bishop Auckland Hos-pital. All are invited to refreshment in The Black Swan after this service.

SALVIN Elizabeth Ann (Nan). Aged 97 years of Carters Yard, Newbiggin, Richmond, died peacefully at The Friary Hospital on April 17. Beloved wife of the late James (Jim) and a dear aunt and great-aunt. Funeral service at St. Mary's Church, Richmond on Friday April 23, at 4.00 p.m. followed by interment in the cemetery. SARGINSON Elizabeth Mary (Betty), aged 74 years, on April 15 peacefully in hospital, of Tunstall. Beloved wife of the late Sydney, much loved mother of Anne and Olwen, dear mother-in-law of David and Paul and devoted granny to Rebecca, Kathryn and William. Funeral service in Holy Trinity Church, Tunstall on Thursday, April 22 at 1.00 p.m., followed by interment in the Churchyard. Friends please meet at Church. Family flowers only. SAWDON Pat (formerly Ferrier), April 20, died peacefully in her sleep at home in Hutton Rudby. Patricia Anne (nee Day), dearly loved wife of Peter, loving mother of Janet, Carolyne, Paul and Dawn and a dear nanna.
