Would friends please meet at Durham Crematorium, Friday for a service and committal at 2.30 p.m. No flowers by request.

STAINSBY April 10 (peacefully, in hospital), of Darlington. Joan, aged 75 years, beloved wife of the late Cyril, cherished mother of Patricia, David and Claire, loving grandma of Jason, Kirsty, Daniel and Alec, dear sister to Audrey and Eric. Funeral Monday, April 26. Will friends please meet 12.30 p.m. for service at St Columba's Church, Darlington, prior to cremation at Darlington Crema-torium. Family flowers only please. Donations in lieu to Parkinson Disease Society, 215 Vauxhall Bridge Road, London SW1V 1EJ.

Gerald, aged 73 years, of Oval Park, Tudhoe, much loved husband of Peggy, dearly loved father of John and his wife Barbara and Carole and her husband David, loving granda of Jonathan, Michelle, David and Cora. Would friends please meet for service and committal in Durham Crematorium Chapel at 10.30 a.m. on Wednesday.

STEWART April 16 (peacefully), in South Africa. Shirley (nee Clarke). Aged 68 years. Beloved wife of the late Keith, dearest mam of Beverley, grandma to Andrew and Michael, sister and sister-in-law. Service and cremation to take place in South Africa.

STEWART Edna May, formerly of Middleham Road, Darlington, died peacefully in David Walker House, Rutherglen, Glasgow on April 6, 2004. Widow of Leonard Nixon and George Stewart and beloved mother of the late John L. Nixon.

TAGGESELL April 13, of Spennymoor. Rowland Eric, aged 80 years. A service and committal took place at Durham Crematorium, Friday April 16. All enquiries to, Mrs. P. Evans, 3 Hall Meadow, Bonby, North Lincolnshire. DN20 0QP.

TAYLOR April 16 (peacefully, in hospital), of Bede Terrace, Bowburn. Allan, aged 60 years, beloved husband of Joan, dearly missed father of John and Clare and their partners Julie and Stephen, grandad to Danielle. Would family and friends please meet for service on Thursday, April 22 at Durham Crematorium at 11.00 a.m.

THOMPSON April 22 (peacefully, at Peterlee Care Home), late of Shildon and Newton Aycliffe. Ramsey Raphael, aged 75 years, beloved husband of Joan, dearly loved father, step father, father-in-law and a much loved grandad. Cortege leaving Windsor Place, Shotton Colliery Tuesday at 10.00 a.m. Friends please meet at Durham Crematorium for service and cremation at 10.30 a.m. Family flowers only please.

A devoted wife of the late George, a much loved mother of Derick and Janet, mother-in-law of Joan and treasured gran and great-gran. Funeral to take place on Wednesday. WALKER March 31 (tragically) of Willow Road, Darlington. Lee, aged 22 years, dearly loved son of Neil and Diane, loving brother of Stacy. Will be greatly missed by his family and many friends. Helen, aged 82 years, beloved wife of the late Maurice, a dear mam of Barbara, Margaret and Brenda, also a much loved mother-in-law, nana and great-nana. Funeral Friday, April 23. Cecil (Ces), aged 89 years, beloved husband of the late Beatrice, a dearly loved dad of Ces, Mary, Don and Margaret, a dear father-in-law and a much loved granda, great-granda and brother. Would friends please meet in St. Luke's Church, Ferryhill Monday for a service at 10.45 a.m., followed by interment in York Hill Cemetery.

WITHINGTON Frank Douglas, aged 85 years, peacefully on April 15 at Windsor Nursing Home, Hebburn (formerly of Richmond, Yorkshire). Beloved husband of the late Betty, much loved father to Roger, Brian and John and their wives Mavis, Jan and Elizabeth and loving grandfather to Neil, Philip, James, Simon, Jack and Thomas. Funeral service in St. Mary's Church, Richmond on Monday, April 26 at 2.30 p.m., followed by interment in the cemetery. Friends please meet at the Church. No flowers by request. ALDERSON Dinah Eleanor (Nellie), in her 102nd year, formerly of Lennox Avenue, Richmond and Reeth, died peacefully at Nightingale Hall Nursing Home, Richmond on April 25. Beloved wife of the late Wilf, very dearly loved and devoted mother to Jo, Betty, Ralph and the late Ella and Tommy, a dear mother-in-law, loving gran, great-gran and great-great-gran. Funeral service at St. Andrew's Church, Grinton on Thursday, April 29 at 2.30 p.m., followed by interment in the cemetery. Friends please meet at the church. Family flowers only, if desired, donations may be given for St. Andrew's Church, Grinton (plate in church).

ALMACK Dear Joanne, died April 25, in hospital, our brilliant and beautiful star. We will miss you but you will always shine in our hearts and lives. We will be pleased if all her friends could join us to celebrate Joanne's life and thank God for her twenty very full years. Annie, aged 83 years, beloved wife of the late Sydney, devoted mam of Pauline, dear mother-in-law to Peter, much loved and loving gran of Lisa and Glenn, also a much loved aunt. Cortege to leave her daughter's residence at 11.00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 5. By her own request, a private family service with no flowers will be held in Durham Crematorium at 11.30 a.m.
