CARPENTER April 29, of Rare-Dean Farm, Cornsay Village. Eunice (nee Bell), aged 76 years, dearly loved wife of the late Norman, loving mother of William, Melvin and John, dear mother-in-law of Avril, Margaret and Leslie, also a devoted grandma of Julie, Jill, Joanne, Neil, Jenna and Laura. Will friends please meet for service in St. Cuthbert's Church, Satley on Wednesday, May 5 at 10.45 a.m., followed by cremation at Mountsett Crematorium. Family flowers only please. Donations in lieu, if desired, to the church.

CARR April 23, in hospital, of Tenlands Nursing Home, Ferryhill. George Frederick, aged 95 years, dearly loved husband of the late Jenny (nee Hartnell) and the much loved brother of Ethel. Cortege leaving residence at 1.05 p.m. on Friday, April 30, for service in the Village Methodist Church at 1.15 p.m. followed by cremation at Durham Crematorium.

CHEETHAM (nee Davison) April 26 (peacefully, at home), of Park Avenue, Coxhoe. Margaret, aged 77 years, beloved wife of Harry, dearest mam of Bruce, loving mother-in-law of Jean, devoted nana of Joanne, Amanda and Paul, dearest great-nana of Christopher, Kirsty, Andrew, Abbie, Megan, Stephen and Stephanie, dearly loved sister-in-law of Ronnie, Ann, Vi and Michael and also a special aunt of Beryl, Alan, Margaret and John. Will be sadly missed by all family and friends. Would friends please meet for service at Durham Crematorium Chapel on Tuesday at 11.00 a.m. Family flowers only. Donations, if desired, to Parkinsons Disease Society, Durham Branch, 76 Rush Park, Bishop Auckland.

CLARKE April 28 (peacefully, in hospital), of 15 Broome Road, Carrville. Mary Jane (Molly), aged 91 years, dearly beloved wife of the late Frank, much loved mum of Gordon, Frank and Susan, mother-in-law to Rosalind and Avis and son-in-law David, grandma to Graham and Paula, Andrea and Paul, Martin, Andrew and Kelly, Christopher and Louise and great-grandma to Joe, Oliver and Jack and devoted sister to Winnie, Lily and Joe. Would friends please meet for service in Carrville Methodist Church on Friday, May 7 at 12.15 p.m. Private cremation to follow at Durham. Family flowers only please. Donations in lieu to Barnardos and the Methodist Church. A plate will be provided in Church. Refreshments after the service to be held in the Church Hall.

CONROY April 25 (peacefully, after a long illness fought with great courage), of Shildon. Grace (nee Barker, formerly McGreevy), aged 71 years. Loving mother of Lynn, Valerie, Lesley, Olwen and Diane, also a dearest mother-in-law and nanna. Friends please meet for service in St. John's Church, Shildon on Friday, April 30, at 2.15 p.m. followed by interment in Shildon Cemetery. Many thanks to nurses and staff of Unique Homecare, Butterwick Hospice and Marie Curie.

CRADOCK April 18, at Worthing. Paul, aged 85 years, dearest husband of Theo, late of Richmond, pupil of the Grammar School and Chorister at St. Mary's Parish Church.

CUTHBERT Thomas passed away peacefully in a Doncaster Nursing Home on April 20, aged 82 years and formerly of Kirk Road, Romanby, Northallerton. Dearly loved husband of the late Gwen, dearest dad of Julie and father-in-law of Martin. The service will take place in Romanby Methodist Church at 1.00 p.m. on Thursday, April 29. DARGUE (Newton Hall) April 23. Robert, aged 79 years, beloved husband of the late Clara and a much loved father, father-in-law, grandfather and great-grandfather of all the family. Sadly missed by all family and friends. Friends please meet for service at Durham Crematorium on Friday, April 30 at 2.30 p.m. Private afterwards. No flowers by request. DENT April 28, peacefully, at Cross Hill Nursing Home, Stanhope, late of Hill Terrace, Middleton-in-Teesdale. Florence Ida, aged 86 years, dearly loved wife of John George (Jack). Friends please meet for service at Middleton Methodist Church on Tuesday, May 4 at 1.30 p.m., to be followed by interment at St. Mary's Churchyard.

DEWAR April 25 (suddenly, at home), in Darlington. Peter, aged 59 years, beloved husband of Lyn, also a much loved father, brother, grandad, son-in-law and friend. Funeral service will take place on Friday, April 30 at 2.15 p.m. at Darlington Crematorium, West Cemetery Chapel.

DOUTHWAITE April 18 (peacefully in hospital, with her loving family). Denise, aged 45 years, a most dearly loved and precious daughter of Dee and Doug, devoted sister of Caroline, Ann and Jayne, loving sister-in-law of Billy, Kevin and David. Denise was a special aunty to her nephews and nieces and a friend to many. Funeral Thursday, April 29. Would friends please meet 10.00 a.m. for service at St. Columba's Church, Darlington, followed by cremation at Darlington Crema-torium.

FARRELL (formerly Copping) April 23, of Darlington. William (Bill), aged 75 years. The funeral service will take place on Thursday, April 29 11.15 a.m. at West Cemetery Chapel, Carmel Road North, prior to interment in the West Cemetery.

FLATHER April 24, of Grey Ridges, Brandon. George, aged 89 years, dearly loved uncle of Robert and Marjorie and sadly missed by all his family and friends. Frances, aged 92 years, dearly beloved wife of the late Arthur, loving mother of Edna and Averil, dear mother-in-law of George, devoted grandmother of Malcolm, Dawn and Lance and also a dear sister and sister-in-law. GILBERT April 27, in hospital, of Greencroft Court, Darlington. Jean, aged 77 years, dearly loved wife of Bert and who will be sadly missed by Edith and all her relatives and friends. Frank, aged 64 years, dearly loved husband of Jean, much loved father of Andrew and Jayne, father-in-law of Judith and Michael, also a loving grandad of Tim, Georgina, Jordane and Mikeala. Private cremation on Friday, April 30 at Mountsett Crematorium, followed by a remembrance service for Frank in Stanhope Methodist Chapel at 11.15 a.m. Will friends please meet at the chapel.
