FOX April 9, suddenly in hospital, of Darlington. William George (Billy), a dear father of Gary and Nigel, a loving brother and nephew. Will be sadly missed by all his family and friends. Funeral Monday, May 10. Will friends please meet for service 11.45 a.m. at Darlington Crematorium, Carmel Road, Darlington. Family flowers only please. Donations in lieu to A.D.D.E.R., Bath Cottages, Dinsdale Park, Middleton St. George, DL2 1DJ.

GARNER Died peacefully in hospital, on May 6. Charles William (Bill), aged 85 years, of Leeming Village. Dearly loved husband of Doris, much loved dad of Keith, Terry, Colin, Dennis and Neil, also a dear father-in-law, grandad and great-grandad. Funeral service to be held at Harrogate Crematorium on Wednesday, May 12 at 11.40 a.m. Family flowers only. Donations, if desired, for the Friends of the Friarage Hospital, Northallerton.

GRAY May 1 (peacefully), of Seymour Street, Bishop Auckland. Reg, aged 91 years, dearly loved husband of Winifred, much loved dad of Reg and Jean. Would friends please meet for service and cremation at Darlington Crematorium on Friday, May 7 at 2.15 p.m.

HALL Elsie (nee Medd), formerly of Crook peacefully in hospital on May 4, 2004, aged 84 years. Much loved mother of Harry, Peter and Barbara and grandmother of Katie, Simon, Ian, Ruth, Elizabeth and Peter. Will be sadly missed by all of her family and friends. Service at St. Catherine's Church, Crook on Tuesday, May 11 at 10.40 a.m., followed by private cremation.

HARRISON (Lanchester) Colepike. John Benjamin (Ben), aged 93 years. Died May 5, (in hospital). Beloved husband of the late Nora and loved by all his family. Friends please meet for service at The Lanchester Methodist Church on Monday, May 10, at 1.00 p.m. followed by cremation at Mountsett. Family flowers only please. Donations in lieu if desired for Lanchester Methodist Church.

HEIGHTLEY May 1 (suddenly at home), David Terrace, Bowburn. Alan, aged 40 years, much loved son of Allen and Betty and a dear brother of Ian. Will be sadly missed by all his family and friends. Would friends please meet for service in Christ The King Church at 10.00 a.m. on Friday, followed by interment in Bowburn Cemetery. Friends are invited to Bowburn Hall afterwards for refreshments.

HODGSON April 30 (suddenly), of Hartley Terrace, Spennymoor. William (Billy), aged 77 years. Beloved husband of the late Jean, a dearly loved dad, grandad and great-grandad. Would friends please meet at Durham Crematorium Thursday for a service and committal at 9.30 a.m.

HODGSON Ruby (nee Race), aged 74 years, on May 6, in hospital, of Wolsingham (formerly of Cockfield). Dearly loved wife of George, much loved mother and mother-in-law of Heather and George and loving grandmother and great-grandmother (Grandma Ruby). Funeral service in Hamsterley Methodist Chapel on Tuesday, May 11 at 2.00 p.m., followed by interment in the cemetery. Friends please meet at the chapel. No flowers by request. Donations, if desired, for the British Heart Foundation may be given in the chapel or to members of the family.

HOOK May 6, suddenly, at Roman Way, Middleton-St-George. Mike, aged 48 years, beloved husband of Rosie, loving father of Daniel and Katie, dearly loved son of Maureen and the late Ernie, also a much loved brother of Susan. Will be sadly missed by his family and many friends. Funeral Thursday. Friends please meet for service in St. Laurence's Church, Middleton-St-George at 1.45 p.m., followed by private cremation.

JOPLING Eva Peacefully at Beaconsfield Nursing Home, Barnard Castle on Thursday, May 6. Eva, aged 91 years, wife of the late George, mother of Roger and dear gran of Susan, Richard and Douglas. Cremation at Darlington Crematorium 2.45 p.m., Tuesday, May 11. Family flowers only. Donations, if desired, may be given in Chapel to 'Dales Community Alarm Trust' or 'The Friends of Richardson Hospital', Barnard Castle.

KETTLEWELL (nee Burn) Died peacefully at home in Morton on Swale, on May 5, 2004. Brenda, dearly loved wife of the late Barrie, dear mum of Jane and Tim, also loving granny of Christopher, Helen and Rachel. Funeral service and interment to be held at St. Helen's Church, Ainderby Steeple on Thursday, May 13 at 1.00 p.m. Family flowers only. The Reverend Father Martin McBrien, aged 93 years, beloved brother of the late Father Philip McBrien, Mary and Elizabeth and a dear brother-in-law of Bill Allan. Father McBrien is to be received into St. Augustine's Church on Wednesday, May 5 at 7.00 p.m. Requiem Mass Thursday, May 6 at 12.00 noon, followed by interment at St. Osmund's Church, Gainford.
