BARRETT Lena Elizabeth ('Pip') Barrett, aged 89 years, peacefully and after a brief illness at the Friarage Hospital, Northallerton. Lately of Bedale and previously of Dovercourt and Croydon. Dearly loved wife of her late husband Jock, devoted mum to Lena, Andrew and Chris and cherished grandmother of Kevin, Caroline, Becky, Iain, Katie and Pablo. Cremation and service of thanksgiving at Darlington Crematorium today, Friday, May 28, 2004 at 2.15 p.m. Flowers to John Blenkiron and Sons Ltd., 21 Queens Road, Richmond, DL10 4AJ.

BAYLES John, aged 52 years, of 37 East Green, West Auckland, died suddenly on May 21, after a long and painful illness borne with great courage and dignity. Dearly loved husband of Elaine, much loved dad of David, dearest future father-in-law of Lindsay, special son of Mary and the late Robert, very dear brother of Ann, brother-in-law to Tony, Gordon and Pauline and a dear son-in-law and uncle. Funeral service at West Auckland Methodist Church on Tuesday, June 1 at 11.00 a.m., followed by interment in West Auckland Cemetery. Friends please meet at the church. Family flowers only. If desired, donations may be given in church for the M.S. Society.

BELGRAVE On May 24, at his home in East Witton. Cedric, aged 77 years, beloved husband of Gillian, dearly loved father of Keith, Graham, Elizabeth and David and a very dear father-in-law and grandad. BELL May 23 (peacefully, in hospital), of King William Grange, Spennymoor. John Joseph, aged 79 years, a very dear brother of Edward, Jenny and the late Doris. Would friends please meet at Durham Crematorium on Thursday for a service and committal at 9.30 a.m.

BELLAMY May 21, at Portland House, late of Willard Grove, Stanhope. Jack, aged 89 years. Family and friends please meet for service at Durham Crematorium on Thurs-day, May 27 at 3.00 p.m. followed by cremation.

BLACKETT May 26 (peacefully at home), of Sunnydale, Shildon. John William (Blackie), aged 76 years, much loved husband of Joan, a loving father, father-in-law and granda, also a dear brother and uncle. Would friends please meet for service in St. John's Church, Shildon on Tuesday, June 1 at 1.30 p.m., followed by cremation at Durham Crematorium. No flowers by request. Donations in lieu, if so desired, to the Butterwick Hospice, c/o Jack's family. Everyone welcome for refreshments at the B.R. Club, Shildon after the funeral service.

BLENKINSOPP May 26 (in hospital), formerly of Carlton Miniott, Thirsk. Norah, aged 84 years, beloved wife of the late Thomas (Tom), dearly loved mother of Marion and John, a dear mother-in-law and the loving grandma of Andrew and Helen. The funeral service will take place at St. Mary's Church, Thirsk on Thursday, June 3 at 12.00 noon, followed by cremation at Darlington at 1.15 p.m. Family flowers only please. BRAMLEY Eileen, died May 21, 2004, in Canada. Dear daughter of Doris and Dennis Harris (Southsea, Hampshire) and the late Robert Armstrong and wife Audrey (Canada). Beloved wife of David, mother of Paul and grandmother of Tay. Loving sister of Adele Harris, Southsea and siblings in Canada.

BRITTAIN Alice, aged 74 years, dearly loved wife of the late Harry, passed away peacefully on May 22 at St. Catherine's Hospice, Scarborough, after a long illness. Treasured mother of Brian and Dereck, daughters-in-law Jan and Sue, dear grandma of Paul, Sarah and Alex and great-grandma of James. Service at South Cliff Methodist Church, Scarborough on Friday, May 28 at 10.45 a.m., followed by cremation at Woodlands Crematorium, Scarborough. Family flowers only. Mary (nee Harrison), aged 95 years, dearly beloved wife of the late Isaac, a loving mother of Pat and a dear mother-in-law of Alan. Cremation Durham Crematorium on Tuesday. Friends please accept this intimation and meet for service at the Church of the Ascension, Easington Colliery at 12.15 p.m.

Laura, aged ten years, precious daughter of Jackie, Steve and Mike, loving sister of Ashleigh and adored granddaughter of Mavis, Tom, Frank and the late Maureen, also of Sheila and Fred. Friends please meet for service at St. Margaret's Church, Crossgate, Durham on Thursday, May 27 at 1.00 p.m., cremation to follow.

CAMERON May 21 (peacefully, in hospital), of Eastmount Road, Darlington. Anne, aged 58 years, dearly loved companion of Lorna, a loving sister of Margaret and Angus, also dearly loved by her family and close friends. She will be sadly missed by them all.
