Joan, aged 73 years, beloved wife of Arthur, devoted mother of Gerald, Paul and Julie, a dear mother-in-law, much loved and loving grandma, also a dear sister, sister-in-law and aunt. Will friends please meet for service in St. Paul's Church, Witton Park at 2.00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 25, followed by cremation at Durham. Family flowers only. Donations in lieu may, if desired, be left in church for Church Funds. All are invited to refreshments in the Village Hall immediately after this service.

WILKINSON Robert Reginald, peacefully in the Lambert Hospital, Thirsk, on May 27, of Thirkleby, aged 89 years. Dear brother of Kathleen and the late William, Freda, Jessie, Henry and Kenneth. Cremation private.

WOODWARD Ruth A memorial service is to be held at Cockerton Methodist Church on Wednesday, June 2 at 7.00 p.m.

YOUNG May 24, of 15 Burnfoot, St. Johns Chapel. Mavis, aged 80 years, dearly loved by the Cape, Emms and Young families. Will friends please meet for service in St. Johns Chapel Methodist Chapel on Tuesday, June 1 at 12.30 p.m., followed by cremation at Mountsett Crematorium.

ADDISON Joseph Oswald May 30, peacefully, in hospital, after a short illness. Ozzie, aged 86 years (formerly of Picton), a loving husband to the late Alice, dad to Joan and the late Valerie. Funeral service and cremation will take place on Monday, June 7 at 2.00 p.m. in the Chapel of St Bede, Teesside Crematorium. Will friends please meet at the Crematorium Chapel. AINSLEY Margaret Alexandra (Peggy), aged 103 years, formerly of Burneston, died peacefully at Benkhill Lodge Nursing Home, Bedale on May 25. Peggy will be sadly missed by all her family and her many friends. Funeral service at St. Lambert's Church, Burneston on Monday, June 7 at 1.00 p.m. followed by private cremation. Friends please meet at the Church. Family flowers only. If desired, donations may be given in Church for the Benkhill Lodge Resident's Fund.

ASKEW May 28 (in hospital), of Crook. Elizabeth Raine (Betty), aged 75 years, beloved wife of the late William, much loved mother of Gloria, Gordon, Pearl and the late David, dear mother-in-law of Bob and Steven, a loving grandma and great-grandma, also a dear sister and aunt. Would friends please meet for service in the Methodist Church, Crook on Friday, June 4 at 10.30 a.m., followed by interment in Crook Cemetery.

BARKER Sally (Amos) May 30 (peacefully, in hospital), of Dorset Place, Bishop Auckland. Sally, aged 72 years, wife of the late Ray-mond, devoted mam of Tom and Billy, loving mother-in-law of Carol and Elizabeth Ann, dear grannie of Charlotte Ross, Tom Barker, Louis, Billy Bowman, Nikita Marie and dearest great-grannie of Dempsey Lee Ross. Goodnight, God Bless Funeral Monday, June 7. Friends please meet for Requiem Mass in St. Mary's R.C. Church, Woodhouse Close, Bishop Auckland at 2.00 p.m., followed by interment at Bishop Auckland Cemetery. R.I.P Wake starts Friday at home, all welcome.

BARNES May 27 (suddenly at home), of Prospect Terrace, Willington. Iris, aged 79 years, beloved wife of the late Tec, loving mother of Melvyn, Mary-Lynn, Billy, Susan, Iris and Lynn, also a dearly loved mother-in-law and grandma. Friends please meet for service at Durham Crematorium on Friday, June 4 at 11.30 a.m. Family flowers only please. Donations in lieu to Sunnybrow Community Church, may be left at the crematorium. Family and friends are welcome afterwards for refreshments at the Prospect Terrace residence.

BELL May 28, peacefully in hospital (formerly of Bearpark), of Pallister Court, Middlesbrough. John, aged 77 years, much loved dad of Anne, Lynn, Eileen and Matthew and a dear grandad and great-grandad. Friends please meet for service and cremation at Durham Crematorium on Wednesday, June 2 at 11.00 a.m.

BIBBY Vera Margaret June 3, peacefully, in Four Seasons Nursing Home. Vera, aged 94 years, much loved wife of the late Jack, dearly loved mum of Ken and the late Peter, dear mother-in-law of Judith, loving grandma of Alistair and Kouri and Jonathan and Sarah, also very special great-grandma of Olivia and Emma. Service and cremation to take place on Wednesday, June 9 in the Chapel of St. Hilda, Teesside Crematorium at 11.45 a.m. All friends are welcome to meet at the Crematorium Chapel.

BLAKEMORE On May 29, suddenly in hospital, of Easington Colliery. Sharon, aged 31 years, a much loved mam of Emma Lou and a cherished daughter to Liz and the late Jimmy, a loved sister to Jimmy and a precious granddaughter to James and Florence. Cortege to leave residence on Monday for service at the Church of the Ascension, Easington Colliery at 1.00 p.m., prior to interment at Easington Colliery Cemetery. Friends are kindly invited, please meet at the church.

BRIGHAM May 28 (peacefully in hospital), of Hamsterley Street, Darlington. John, aged 73 years, dearly loved husband of Dorothy, loving dad of Mike, Geoff and Ian, father-in-law of Heidi, also a much loved grandad of Andrew, Amy and Adam. Funeral Wednesday, June 9. CARTER Denis, aged 64 years, of 10 Sutton Avenue, Colburn, died peacefully at The Friary Hospital, Richmond on June 2, after an illness borne with great courage and dignity. Dearly loved husband of Marion, much loved dad of Graeme, Ian, Clare and Emma and a dear father-in-law and loving grandad. Funeral service at St. Cuthbert's Church, Colburn on Tuesday June 8, at 11.00 a.m. followed by private cremation. Friends please meet at the church. Cecil (Sid), aged 88 years. passed away peacefully in his sleep, beloved husband of the late Lily, dear father of Pat, Ray, Alan and Lorraine, grandfather of Julie, Kevin and Raymond and great-grandad of Ryan and Connor.
