Hilda, aged 81 years, beloved wife of the late Arthur, much loved mother of Brian, David, Denise and Julie, mother-in-law to Hazel, Ken and Andrew, dear grandma of Faye, Ian, Karen, Jackie, Russell, Peter and Richard and a very dear great-grandma, also sister of Dorothy, Winnie, Mabel, Kathleen and Leonard. Will friends please meet for service on Wednesday, June 9 in St. Andrew's Church, South Church, Bishop Auckland at 1.30 p.m., to be followed by interment in the Town Cemetery.

TWEEDY Valerie (nee Clement) On May 28, after a short illness bravely borne, at home, surrounded by her family. Val, aged 62 years, dearly beloved wife of Ronnie, loving daughter of Edith and the late Arthur, loving mother of Vivian, Karen and Leslie and daughter-in-law Marie, sister of Robert and the late Barry, devoted nana, aunty, cousin, sister-in-law and carer to many. Service to be at St. Luke's Church at 9.45 a.m. on Friday, June 4, prior to cremation at Durham. Flowers if desired to 38 Elm Road, Ferryhill. So many folks are missing you when you are not around. Replacing someone just like you is impossible we have found. You always gave a helping hand to many of us folk and when you've been in great demand you still had time to joke. And so we thought we'd let you know just how much we care and know when God looks down on you He'll find a jewel that's rare.

USHER On May 28, after a courageous fight, borne with great dignity, of Hobson's, High Frem-ington, near Reeth. Bunty, aged 73 years, much loved wife of John and mother of Sue and Mike. Funeral service at St. Andrew's Church, Grinton on Friday, June 4 at 2.30 p.m. Family flowers only please. WARDLE John (Jack) May 31, of 11 Milbank Terrace, Station Town. Jack, aged 74 years, dearly beloved husband of June, a loving father of Margaret, John and David, a dear father-in-law, brother, brother-in-law and also a devoted grandfather and great-grandfather. Cremation Durham Crematorium Monday. Friends please accept this intimation and meet for service at Holy Trinity Church, Wingate at 10.15 a.m. Family flowers only. Donations in lieu of flowers, if so desired, to the Kid's Kidney Appeal c/o Mavis Wardle.

WEBB Robert William (Bob), aged 83 years, of Gainford (Plumbing and Heating Engineer), died peacefully in hospital on May 31. Dearly loved husband of Jenny, much loved dad of Bobbie, dear father-in-law to Joyce and loving granda of Steven and Claire. Funeral service at St. Mary's Church, Gainford on Tuesday, June 8 at 2.00 p.m., followed by cremation at Darlington. Friends please meet at the Church.

WILKINSON Robert Reginald, peacefully in the Lambert Hospital, Thirsk, on May 27, of Thirkleby, aged 89 years. Dear brother of Kathleen and the late William, Freda, Jessie, Henry and Kenneth. Cremation private.

WILLIAMS May 27 (suddenly, at home), of Willow Court, Coxhoe. Lesley, aged 59 years, dear wife of the late Roy, beloved mam of the late Kevin, devoted fiancé of Kenny, a treasured sister of Sheila, Larry, Antony and Tracy, a sadly missed nana of Kevin and Jasmine, a much loved daughter of Thomas and the late Pattie, a beloved auntie of Kathleen, Annette, Deborah, Claire, James and Christopher, also a special auntie to Graham, Amy, Lee-Joseph, Rachel and Jessica. Funeral to take place on Wednesday. Would friends please meet for service at St. Mary's Church, Coxhoe at 1.15 p.m., prior to cremation at Durham Crematorium. Lesley touched the heart of all her friends.

WILSON June 2 (peacefully, in hospital), of Beverley Gardens, Chilton. Mildred (Millie), aged 76 years, beloved wife of the late Bill, a much loved mam, nana and great-nana. Would friends please meet at Durham Crematorium on Tuesday for a service and committal at 11.30 a.m.

WOODWARD May 27 (peacefully at home), Hackworth Close, Ferryhill. Annie (Nancy) aged 86 years, beloved wife of Bob for the last 65 years, much loved mam of Bryan and Audrey, dearest grandma of Jill and Steven and David and great nan of Sarah, Emma and Christopher. Would friends please meet for service in St. Luke's Church, at 12.45 p.m. on Thursday, followed by cremation at Durham.

YARDLEY June 3 (peacefully at the Friary Hospital, Richmond), of 10 Cliff Drive, Leyburn. Charles Philip, aged 70 years, beloved husband of Kathleen and a very dear brother-in-law and uncle. Funeral service at St. Matthew's Church, Leyburn on Friday, June 11 at 1.00 p.m., followed by private cremation. Family flowers only please. Donations, if desired, to be shared between Church Funds and Yorkshire Cancer Research (plate in church). Friends please meet at the church.

ALDERSON May 7 (suddenly, after a long illness bravely borne). Arthur, aged 77 years. Dearly beloved husband of the late Philomena, a devoted father of Kathy and John, a dear father-in-law, also a much loved grandad of Gemma. A private funeral service will be held for Arthur at St. Mary's R.C. Church, Bishop Auckland and followed by interment beside his dear wife in Bishop Auckland Cemetery. R.I.P.

ALLAN May 4 (peacefully in South Church Nursing Home), of West View Terrace, Shildon. Dorothy, aged 83 years, beloved daughter of the late William Willoughby and Henrietta, a dearly loved friend and a much loved aunt. APPLETON Netta, aged 81 years, on May 6, peacefully at home, in Staindrop. Beloved wife of the late Raymond and a loving sister, auntie, cousin and friend. Funeral service in St. Mary's Church, Staindrop on Wed-nesday, May 19 at 2.00 p.m., followed by interment in the Cemetery. Friends please meet at the Church.

BAINBRIDGE May 12, of Lingford Court, Bishop Auckland, formerly of Tindale Crescent. Florence (Flo, nee Wilson), aged 89 years. Beloved wife of the late Les, devoted mother of Mike, dear mother-in-law to Denise, a much loved nanna to Craig and Laura, also a loving great-nanna of Aimee. Will friends please meet for service in the Pentecostal Church, Bishop Auckland at 12.00 noon on Thursday, May 20, followed by interment in West Auckland Cemetery. All are invited for refreshment after this service in Lingford Court.

BRIGGS Dorothy Christine, aged 59 years, of Haakon Close, Richmond, formerly Rees (Northallerton) nee Sexton (Richmond), died peacefully in hospital on May 11, after a long illness. Dearly loved wife of Freddie, much loved mother of Christine and David and loving nana to Charlotte, Phoebe and Poppy. Funeral service at St. Joseph and St. Francis Xavier R.C. Church, Richmond on Tuesday, May 18 at 2.00 p.m., followed by private cremation. Friends please meet at the Church. Daniel, aged 71 years, the devoted husband of the late Joyce, much loved dad of Michael and Susan, a dear father-in-law of Sarah and Malcolm, a loving grandad of Rebecca and Rachel, a dear brother to Linda, brother-in-law to David and dear partner to Olga.
