VERDON June 19 (suddenly), of Newton Aycliffe. James (Jim), aged 71 years, beloved husband of Sylvia, loving dad of Coleen, Neil and Darren, also a much loved brother, father-in-law, grandad, uncle and brother-in-law. Funeral service will take place on Thursday, June 24 11.15 a.m. at St. Clare's Church, prior to cremation at Durham Crema-torium. Family flowers only. Donations in lieu, if so desired, may be made to Cancer Research (in Church).

WAKE Hilary My mam and Me Remember mam when I was born, kicking and screaming and nothing worn, you brought me up and fed me well, when I'd done something wrong only you could tell. When I was young you'd sit me on your knee, as I got older it was always 'mum what's for tea'. You taught me what was right, you taught me what was wrong, but you can't anymore because you are sadly gone. Now you have gone to a place where all the good people go, we miss you so much and I want you to know. We love you mam, you were the best, you'll be safe in Heaven now you are finally laid to rest. WATKINSON Brian Suddenly, but peacefully, at home on June 22, of Sessay, aged 62 years. Much loved husband of Margaret, brother of Vera and John, son of the late Reginald and Dorothy Watkinson. Service and interment at St. Cuthbert's Church, Sessay on Monday, June 28, at 2.00 p.m. Family flowers only please. WATSON June 23, suddenly at home, of Chapel Cottage, Newbiggin in Teesdale. Eric, aged 79 years, dearly loved husband of the late Maisie and a beloved brother and uncle. Friends please meet for service at Newbiggin Methodist Chapel on Tuesday, June 29 at 1.00 p.m., to be followed by interment at St. Mary's Churchyard, Middleton in Teesdale. WORRALL Elizabeth June 21, of 91 Bruce Glasier Terrace, Shotton. Betty, aged 74 years, dearly beloved wife of Eddie, a loving mother of Keith and Len, a dear mother-in-law of Hilary and June, also a devoted grandma and great-grandma. Cremation Hartlepool Crematorium on Thursday. Friends please accept this intimation and meet for service at St. Saviour's Church, Shotton at 2.15 p.m. Donations, if so desired, to the Critical Care Unit, Hartlepool Hospital. A buffet reception will be held at Shotton Comrades. All welcome.

Alan Geoffrey, aged 73 years, much loved husband of Lily, dear dad of Alan and Trevor, loving father-in-law of Julie and Joy, beloved grandad of Debbie, Robyn, Lee and Adam, dear great-grandad of Jade and Courtney, a special brother of Susan and Graham. Mary Jane (Jenny, nee Grayson), aged 83 years, beloved wife of the late Thomas, loving mother of Kathlyn and Paul and much loved gran of Petra and Nic. Friends please meet for service in St. Mary Magdalene Church, Belmont on Monday, July 26 at 12.15 p.m., followed by cremation at Durham. Family flowers only please. Peggy (formerly Hart), aged 93 years, wife of the late Trevor Hart and the late Herbert Bailey, mother of David and Ian, beloved grandmother of Nigel, Jason, David and Jeremy. Funeral service at St. Michael's Church, Braintree, Essex at 10.30 a.m. on Thursday, July 29. Cremation afterwards at Chelmsford Crematorium, followed by reception at The Green Dragon, London Road, Braintree at 1.30 p.m.

BAINBRIDGE Keith, aged 73 years, of Middlemoor Farm, Hudswell, died peacefully after a short stay in hospital on July 18. Dearly loved brother of Cyril and Myra, a dear brother-in-law of Jean and Brian and a much loved uncle. Funeral service in St. Michael and All Angel's Church, Hudswell on Tuesday July 27, at 1.30 p.m. followed by cremation. Friends please meet at the church. Family flowers only please.

Beloved daughter of the late Jack and Peggy, dearly loved sister and sister-in-law to John and Irene, also loving aunt of Craig and Catherine. BENOIT Margaret Annie (nee Coatsworth), aged 87 years, of Windermere Drive, West Auckland, died peacefully in hospital on July 21. Dearly loved wife of William, much loved mam of Brian, Joe, Rose and Anne and a dear mother-in-law, loving gran and great-gran. Funeral service at St. James' Church, Hamsterley on Thursday July 29, at 11.00 a.m. followed by interment in the cemetery. Adrian, aged 48 years, beloved husband of Lynn, devoted daddy of Caroline, Katie and Elizabeth, treasured son of Dorothy and the late Dr. Michael Clark, dear brother of Fiz, brother-in-law to Gail and Alan, also a dear uncle.
