LYNCH July 21 (peacefully), of Garmondsway Road, West Cornforth. John (Ted), much loved husband of Margaret, a dear dad, grandad and brother of Edna. Would friends please meet for service at 2.00 p.m. on Wednesday in Durham Crematorium. Family and friends are welcome for refreshments afterwards at The Square and Compass. Family flowers only. Donations in lieu, if desired, to the Dementia Society. A plate will be provided at the Crematorium.

Dearly loved wife of the late Harry, much loved mam of Howard, dear mother-in-law of Katia, devoted grandma of Robin, dearly loved sister of Max, dear sister-in-law of Linda, dear auntie of Jeffrey, Claire, Martin and Sally, Colin and Joanne, dear great-auntie of Matthew and Cameron. Service and cremation at Darlington Crematorium, Thursday July 29, at 11.15 a.m. Friends please meet at crematorium.

William, aged 82 years, of Merrybent, Darlington (late of Thornton Hall), dearly beloved husband of Una, dearly loved father of Elizabeth, Gillian and Michael, dear father-in-law of Mike, Martin and Sue, much loved brother of Ralph and a loving grandpa. Funeral Monday, July 26. Friends please meet for service in St. Edwin's Church, High Coniscliffe at 2.30 p.m., followed by private interment at the cemetery. Family flowers only please. Donations, if desired, may be given for church funds and the Alzheimer's Society.

MARLEY Ralph Monday July 12, at home in Chippenham, Wiltshire (formerly of Binchester). A beloved husband of Jean, father of John and Sarah, a dear brother of Elsie and a loving half brother. Will be missed by all his family and friends. Service to take place on Wednesday July 21, at 12.30 p.m. in Semington Cremator ium, Chippenham, Wiltshire. No flowers please, donations if desired to The British Heart Foundation.

MILLS Stanley Robert, of Leeming Village, died in hospital, on July 19, aged 76 years. Beloved husband of Maisie, loving father of Janet and Robert, also a dear father-in-law and grandad. Funeral service and interment to be held at St. John's Church, Leeming on Friday, July 23 at 11.00 a.m. Family flowers only. Donations, if desired, for Cancer Research UK.

MUSTO July 13. Michael Joseph (Mike), a very special husband and father. A private cremation has taken place. Requiem Mass in memory of Mike on Monday, July 26 at 12.00 noon at All Saints R.C. Church, Kitswell Road, Lanchester. All welcome. Donations after Mass to Tiny Lives.

NIXON July 18 (peacefully), of St. Cuthbert's Crescent, Trimdon Village. Jennie, aged 78 years, much loved wife of the late Matt, dear mam of Les, mother-in-law of Steph-anie, grandma of Colin and great-grandma of Jack and Lewis. Service to be held in St. Mary Magdalene Church on Thursday at 10.00 a.m., followed by cremation at Durham Crematorium. Will friends please meet at the Church.

NOWELL Ronald James, aged 72 years, passed away suddenly at home in Cockerton, on Saturday, July 17. Devoted and loving husband of Vera (nee Lodge), precious and much loved father of Brinley and Shirley and son-in-law Steve. Beloved, happy grandad of Adrian, Daniel, Lewis and Claire, a dearly loved brother to his sisters and their husbands in Cardiff, loved by his many nieces and nephews in Darlington and Cardiff. Ronnie was a most sincere man to all his friends and always brought a smile to all. Will be sadly missed and remembered always. Would friends please meet at St. Mary's Church, Cockerton at 10.30 a.m. on Tuesday, July 27 for celebration of Ronnie's life, followed by committal at Darlington Crematorium and afterwards at R.A. Club in Brinkburn Road for refreshments, where we can all share our memories. Family flowers only by request. Donations if desired, on church plate, to be donated to British Heart Foundation and Opthalmic Trust Fund. Vera and family sincerely thank everyone for many cards, letters and condolences received.

Would friends please meet for service in the Methodist Church Shildon on Tuesday, July 27 at 9.20 a.m, followed by cremation at Darlington Crema-torium.

Jim, aged 83 years, beloved husband of the late Freda and also a loving father, grandad, great-grandad, brother and uncle. Would friends please meet for service at Salvation Army Citadel, West Cornforth on Wednesday at 10.15 a.m., followed by cremation at Durham.

PETERS Pity Me July 20 (peacefully). Marjorie (Madge), aged 78 years, beloved wife of Wilson, much loved mother of Helen and Allison. Sadly missed by all family and friends. Friends please meet for service at Durham Crematorium on Tuesday, July 27 at 1.00 p.m. Private afterwards.

Gloria Doreen (nee Hall), aged 81 years, dearly loved wife of the late George and also the late Edwin Mason Hall, a much loved mother of Janet, Richard, Audrey and David, a loving and devoted nan and a dear sister and sister-in-law. Would friends please meet in St. Paul's Church, Spennymoor on Wednesday for a service at 12.45 p.m., followed by committal at Durham Crematorium.

ROBINSON Reuben, of Oakcroft (formerly The Green), Lartington, Barnard Castle, died in his 99th year, in hospital, on July 19, 2004. Much loved husband of the late Sarah Elizabeth (Lizzie), a special, kind and loving father to Anne, Barbara and Margaret and a fun loving grandpa and great-grandpa. Funeral service at St. Romald's Church, Romaldkirk on Saturday, July 24 at 2.00 p.m., followed by interment in the cemetery. Friends please meet at the church.

RYDER John Thomas, aged 89 years, formerly of New Farm, Youlton, died at Nightingale Hall, Richmond, on July 15. Husband of the late Joyce and father of John, Geoffrey, Barbara, Doreen and the late David. Cremation private.

SAMPSON July 18, of Newton Aycliffe. Allan, aged 75 years, beloved husband of the late Jean, also a loving dad and grandad. The funeral service will take place on Thursday, July 22 11.00 a.m. at St. Clare's Church, prior to interment in West Cemetery School Aycliffe. Friends welcome, please meet at the Church. SCARR July 17, of Bishop Auckland. Irene, aged 79 years, devoted wife of the late Ernest, beloved sister of Stephen Atherton and sister-in-law to the late Lily, also a dearly loved aunt. SEFTON Sheila, aged 83 years, of Laburnum Grove, Richmond, died suddenly on July 16, whilst on holiday in Blackpool. Beloved wife of the late Albert (Danny) Sefton, much loved mum of John and Jennifer, dear mother-in-law to David and the late Carol, loving nan of Tina and Nigel, Christopher and Alison, great-nan of Danika and William and dearest sister to Sylvia. Funeral service at St. Mary's Church, Richmond on Wednesday, July 28 at 1.30 p.m., followed by cremation at Darlington. Friends please meet at the church. SHEPPARD Davison (Dave), aged 81 years, of Woodside, Barnard Castle, died peacefully whilst on holiday in Jersey on June 29, after an illness borne with great courage and dignity. Beloved son of the late Margaret Ann and Edmund Sheppard, much loved brother of Hilda, Betty and the late William and Edmund George. A Service of Thanksgiving will take place at St. Mary's Parish Church, Barnard Castle on Monday July 26 at 11.30 a.m. followed by private interment of cremated remains in the cemetery. Friends please meet at the church, if desired donations may be given in church for The Teesdale Afterstroke Club.

SINCLAIR July 19 (in hospital). Gordon, aged 74 years, of Watson Close, Wheatley Hill, a treasured father of Annette and her partner Djamel, also much loved grandfather of Danielle.
