Elizabeth Ann (Betty), aged 98 years, beloved wife of the late Thomas, dearly loved mam of David and Thomas, loving nanna and great-nanna and aunty Betty to many people. Funeral Thursday. Would friends kindly meet for service in St. Herbert's Church at 1.15 p.m., followed by interment at the West Cemetery. Flowers may be sent c/o Seaton Leng and Son Ltd., Bondgate, Darlington.

BROWN On July 24, after a short illness. Doreen, aged 76 years, formerly of Wheler Green, Newton Aycliffe. Much loved mum of Shirley and Fred, deeply loved grandma of Steven and Vicky. Dearly loved aunt of Maureen, Rob, Brian, Peter and Chloe. Will be sadly missed by all the family. Funeral service to take place on Thursday, July 29 at 2.45 p.m., in Darlington Crematorium. Victor, aged 89 years, beloved husband of Nancy, dearly loved father of Eileen and John, father-in-law of Cyril, a much loved grandad of Julie, Paul, Lisa, Jonathan and the late Benjamin, also a great-grandad of Lucy and Joseph. COLLINGS July 26 (peacefully), of Cheviot Walk, Coundon. Alexander (Alex), aged 87 years, beloved husband of the late Laura and also a devoted dad, granda, great-granda and uncle. Would friends please meet for service in St. James' Church on Monday at 10.00 a.m., followed by interment in Coundon Cemetery.

COLLINGWOOD On July 28, peacefully, at home. Eleanor (nee Bussey), aged 91 years, of Warwickshire Drive, Belmont, a devoted wife of the late Albert, much loved mother of Ann and Peter and a dear mother-in-law of John. Funeral to take place on Monday, August 2. Would friends please meet for service and cremation at Durham Crematorium at 3.00 p.m. No flowers please by request. COULSON July 29, in St. Helen's Nursing Home (late of Edgar Grove, Bishop Auckland). Kathleen, aged 88 years, dearly loved wife of John (Jack), also a dearly beloved wife of the late Walter Bradford, a devoted mother to Walter and a dear mother-in-law of Brenda, a dearest gran to Alison and Bob, also a much loved great-gran to Jacob. Private cremation on Tuesday, August 3 at Durham following a service in St. Anne's Church, Bishop Auckland at 12.00 noon. Friends please meet at church.

COWLEY July 24, suddenly, of Tow Law. Paul James, aged 22 years, beloved son of Nancy Hayton and stepson to Colin, also a dear cousin and nephew. Will friends please meet for service in St. Philip and St. James' Church, Tow Law at 2.30 p.m. on Friday, July 30, followed by interment in Thornley Road Cemetery.

DAVIES Thomas (Hartlepool) On Friday, July 23, suddenly but peacefully, aged 69 years. Tom, much loved husband and friend of Sue, loving dad of Owen. Funeral cortege to leave family residence on Friday July 30 for service in St. Luke's Church, Tunstall Avenue at 10.00 a.m., prior to cremation at Stranton Grange Crematorium, proceeded by light refreshments at the Hartlepool Historic Quay. Loving sister of Anne and Newby and sister-in-law of May, Nelly, Margaret and Vera. Loved auntie and friend. She will be missed and loved always with pride.
