Dennis will be sadly missed by son-in-law Gareth, also Lynne, Katy, Mark, Ian and Ben, a dear brother of Greta and Amy and a much loved uncle, sadly missed by dear friend Agnes. Will friends please meet for service in St. Andrew's Church at 11.00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 11, followed by cremation at Durham. Family flowers only. Donations may, if desired, be given to the R.A.F. Benevolent Fund.

WEBB Dorothy Edna, aged 83 years, of Richmond, on July 31, 2004. Wife of the late Wing Commander John George Webb, much loved mother of Roy, Peter, Judy, Hilary, Michael and Philip and a much missed sister, grandmother and great-grandmother. Funeral service at Darlington Crematorium on Tuesday, August 10 at 11.15 a.m. Friends please meet at the crematorium. No flowers by request. Donations, if desired, for the Richmond Alzheimer's Society are being accepted by John Blenkiron and Sons Ltd., 21 Queens Road, Richmond, DL10 4AJ.

WEDGWOOD On August 4, suddenly, but peacefully, at home in Romanby, Northallerton. Hazel, aged 77 years, dearly loved wife of the late Albert and a loving mother, mother-in-law, nana and great-nana. Funeral service to be held in St. James' Church, Romanby, 1.00 p.m. Tuesday, followed by interment.

WHALEN July 31 (peacefully), in Defoe Court Nursing Home. Terence, aged 80 years. Father of Mary and Billy, grandfather of Michala and Kirsty, will be sadly missed. Funeral Wednesday August 11. Rose, aged 95 years, beloved wife of the late Arthur, a dear mother of Brian and the late Sonny and Clive, also a much loved mother-in-law of Iris and Dorothy, also a devoted nana and great-nana. Funeral, Monday, August 9. Will friends please meet for service, 3.00 p.m. at St. John's Church, prior to cremation at Darlington Crematorium.

WILLIAMS Died August 1 (peacefully, in hospital), of North Stainley. Ethel, aged 79 years, beloved wife of Norman, dear aunty of the late William and great-aunty of Alex and Lisa. Funeral service to be held at St. Mary's Church, North Stainley, on Thursday, August 5 at 2.15 p.m., followed by cremation. Family flowers only. Donations, if desired, for the Stroke Association.

WOOD August 2 of Grasmere Grove, Crook. Valerie, aged 63 years, a dearly loved daughter of Margaret Jane Johnson (Peg) and the late Robert Johnson, a devoted mother of Maria and Tim and a dear mother-in-law of Lisa, a much loved grannie of Chloe and Tom, a dearest sister to Geoff, also a dear sister-in-law and aunt. Interment Tuesday, August 10 in Crook Cemetery following a service in St. Catherine's Church, Crook at 12.00 noon. Friends please meet at church.

Eleanor (Nellie, nee Bone), aged 83 years, beloved wife of the late Lawrence, loving mother of Lawrence, Norma and Jeff and a dear mother-in-law, gran and nana. Friends please meet for service in St. Luke's Church, Ushaw Moor on Wednesday, August 11 at 11.00 a.m., followed by interment in Ushaw Moor Cemetery. Friends welcome for refreshments at Ushaw Moor Club afterwards.

AGGETT August 11, peacefully, in hospital, of Darlington. Francis, aged 81 years, dearly loved dad of Phillip, much loved father-in-law of Maria and a loving grandad of Daniel and Ricky. Funeral Wednesday. Friends please meet for service in Darlington Crematorium at 10.15 a.m.

ALLEN August 5 (suddenly), of Missenden Grove, Priestfield, Middlesbrough (formerly of West Cornforth). Geoffrey, aged 55 years, much loved son of Alice and the late Jack, a dear brother, brother-in-law, nephew and cousin. Service and committal in Durham Crematorium Chapel at 10.30 a.m. on Thursday. The funeral service will be held at St. Mary's Church, Thirsk, on Monday, August 16 at 11.00 a.m., followed by interment. Family flowers only please. Donations, in memory, may be made to Cherry Garth and The Lambert Hospital, Thirsk.

Helen Leanne, aged 18 years, beloved daughter of Maureen and the late Paul Archer, a dear stepdaughter of Hughie, a loving sister of Emma, Laura, Craig and stepsister of Claire, Christopher and Robert, a dearly loved granddaughter of Margaret and Harry Hail and Jean Archer, a dear aunt of Nathan and Kian, also a dear niece and cousin. Friends please meet for service in St. Philip and St. James' Church, Tow Law on Tuesday, August 17 at 2.00 p.m., followed by interment in Thornley Road Cemetery. Please, no dark clothes to be worn, by her own request.

Beloved husband of Sheila, father to Alan, a stepfather, grandad, great-grandad, uncle, great-uncle and loving brother. Arthur, aged 71 years, dearly loved husband of Nancy, a dear dad of Linda and Christine, father-in-law of Keith and Melvin, also a devoted grandad and great-grandad. Funeral Thursday, August 12. Will friends please meet for service 2.15 p.m. at Darlington Crematorium. Family flowers only please. Hilda, aged 78 years, a dear beloved wife of Colin and a much loved mam of Stuart and Sharon, also a loving grandma to Shelley and Sarah. Would friends please meet at Duncombe Cemetery on Tuesday, at 9.30 a.m., for a grave side service.

CULLINGFORD August 5, (after a short illness in hospital), of Gilesgate, Durham. Clive, aged 72 years. Dearly loved husband of Margaret, loving dad of Carole and Kay and a very special grandad of Peter and Melissa and dear brother of John. Would friends please meet for service at St. Giles' Church on Monday, August 16, at 10.00 a.m. Cremation at Durham to follow. Family flowers only please.
