Family and friends welcome to refreshments afterwards at the Kensington Hall Hotel.

DONALDSON Marian, aged 70 years, peacefully on August 5, at Ventress Hall, Darlington, after an illness borne with great dignity (formerly of Redworth). Dearest wife of Robert Hardy, dearest sister of Bryce, Terry and Pam and a dear sister-in-law, aunty and great-aunty. Funeral service at Darlington Crematorium on Wednesday, August 11 at 11.15 a.m. Friends please meet at the crematorium. No flowers by request. Donations, if desired, may be given at the crematorium for Multiple Sclerosis Research and Cancer Research.

DONNELLY Barbara May, aged 80 years, of Hamsterley, died peacefully at home on August 2. Wife of the late Anthony William, mother of Margaret, Elizabeth and Jane. Funeral service in St. James' Church, Hamsterley on Monday, August 16 at 1.00 p.m., followed by private cremation. Family flowers only. Donations, if desired, for the Great North Air Ambulance are being accepted by James and John Blenkiron, Funeral Directors, 100 Galgate, Barnard Castle, DL12 8BJ.

DUCE July 30 (suddenly whilst on holiday), of Jubilee Crescent, Shildon. Barry (Baz), aged 54 years, dearly loved husband of Ann, devoted dad of Suzanne, will be sadly missed by all of his family and his many friends. Interment Monday August 16 in Shildon Cemetery. Cortege leaving residence at 2.00 p.m. for a service in St. John's Church, Shildon at 2.10 p.m. Friends please meet at church.

DUNN August 7, of Hunwick. William Askew (Billy), aged 81 years, beloved husband of the late Charlotte (Lottie), devoted dad of Joan and Susan, dear father-in-law to Barry and Charles, also a much loved and loving granda to Nikki, Rachel and James. Cortege to leave his daughter's residence in Bishop Auckland, at 1.45 p.m., on Friday, August 13. Will friends please meet for service in St. Paul's Church, Hunwick, at 2.00 p.m. followed by private interment in Hunwick Cemetery. Family flowers only. Donations in lieu may, if desired, be given for 'Alzheimers Research'. After this service all are welcome to refreshments in The Joiners Arms.

Amy, aged 98 years, beloved mother of Eddie, Fred, George, Dorothy, Amy and the late Derek and a dear mother-in-law, also an adored grandma, great-grandma and great-great- grandma. Cremation Thursday, August 12 at Darlington, following a service in the Methodist Chapel, Shildon at 2.20 p.m. Friends please meet at chapel.

Elizabeth (Betty), aged 71 years, dearly beloved wife of the late Dougie, a devoted mother of Elizabeth and Brian and a dear mother-in-law to Brian, much loved gran to Rachel and Steven and a dearest sister to Vera and a dear auntie. Cremation Saturday, August 14 at Durham. Cortege leaving residence at 8.50 a.m. for a service in St. James' Church, Coundon at 9.00 a.m. Friends please meet at church.

EMBLETON On August 7, of Cartington Road, Newton Hall, Durham. George, aged 52 years, beloved husband of Joan, much loved dad of Steven and son-in-law of Desie and a loving brother of Ken and Barry. Would friends please meet for service in Durham Crematorium Chapel on Friday, August 13 at 10.00 a.m.

ENCISO August 9 (peacefully, at home), of Cockfield. Lilian (nee McKowne), aged 81 years. Loving wife of Ronald, dearly loved mam of Jennifer, Margaret, Joyce and John and a dear grandmother. Friends please meet for Requiem Mass in St. Paulinus R.C. Church, St. Helens on Monday August 16, at 10.30 a.m. followed by interment in Cockfield Cemetery. Allan, aged 86 years, beloved husband of the late Joan, loving dad of Michael, Alan and Janice, dearly loved father-in-law to Nigel, also much loved grandad of Christopher, Rebecca and Jared. Funeral Tuesday, August 17. Would friends please meet 1.45 p.m. for service at Darlington Crematorium.

FARMER Denis William, aged 63 years, of Brough Meadows, Catterick Village, died peacefully in hospital on August 13. Dearly loved husband of Dulcie, much loved dad of Andrew, Adrian and the late David, dear father-in-law to Beverley and loving grandad of Christopher. Funeral arrangements later.

FERGUSON August 8, after a long illness bravely borne, of Garmondsway Road, West Cornforth. Pat, aged 61 years, dearly loved wife of Michael, a much loved mother of Paul and Lisa, a mother-in-law of Angela, devoted nanna of Christopher, Kimberley and Michael, also a dear sister, aunty and friend. Service in Holy Trinity Church at 2.45 p.m. on Friday, followed by cremation at Durham Crematorium. Will friends please meet at church. Family flowers only please.
