Cortege leaving his mother's residence 86 Hall Lane Estate, 1.05 p.m. on Monday, August 23, for service at Willington Methodist Church at 1.15 p.m., followed by cremation at Durham. All are welcome afterwards for refreshments at The Lion and Unicorn.

HART August 19, of Pringle Close, New Brancepeth. Olive (nee Dowson), aged 72 years. Beloved wife of the late Arthur, loving mother of Kenneth, Susan, Brian and Derek and a dear mother-in-law, grandmother and great-grandmother. Cortege to leave residence on Wednesday August 25, at 2.35 p.m. for service in New Brancepeth Methodist Church at 2.45 p.m. followed by cremation at Durham. Bus provided, family flowers only please. Donations in lieu may be given after the service for The Motor Neurone Disease Society.

HEDLEY August 18 (peacefully), of High Etherley. Elizabeth, aged 90 years, beloved wife of the late George, a much loved mother, mother-in-law and sister-in-law, devoted grandmother and great-grandmother, also a dear aunt. Would friends please meet for service and cremation at Durham Crematorium on Tuesday, August 24, at 3.30 p.m. Family flowers only please. Donations in lieu, if so desired, to the Butterwick Hospice, Bishop Auckland. A plate will be provided at the crematorium. Much loved, never forgotten.

HINCHLEY August 19. John Lister, aged 95 years, of Sherburn Hospital, Durham. Dearly loved father of Helen. Funeral service to take place on Wednesday, August 25 at Sherburn Hospital Chapel at 2.20 p.m., followed by cremation at Durham Crematorium.

HINTON A service of celebration and Thanks Giving for the life of William Patrick Hinton who died on August 3, 2004 will be held on Saturday September 25, at 11.30 a.m. in St. Barnabas Church, Linthorpe, Middlesbrough.

HOWELL On August 11, 2004 of New Ollerton (late of Bowburn and Coxhoe). Ronald, dearly loved husband of Doreen (nee Clark), loving dad of Barrie, Derek, Doreen, John, Linda and the late Jean. Will be sadly missed.

Beloved husband of the late Joan, a much missed dad of Stephen, Paul, Maurice, Angela and Darren, a dear grandad to Paul, Christopher, Hannah, Adam and Louise. Would family and friends please meet for service at St. Gile's Church, Gilesgate on Monday August 23, at 1.50 p.m. followed by cremation at Durham Crematorium.

Kate (Kitty, nee McMennum), aged 90 years, dearly loved wife of the late Charles, loving mother of Marie, Elsie and Noreen, loved and respected mother-in-law of Jack, Glynne and the late Bob, a much loved and loving nanna and great-nanna of Christopher, Katrina, Andrew, Victoria, Caroline, Peter, Ashleigh and Owen. Would friends please meet for service in St. Luke's Church at 2.15 p.m. on Monday, followed by cremation at Durham.

JOHNSON (nee Nichols) On August 17, of Frosterley (formerly of Durham). Kathy, aged 57 years, a much loved mother of Tracy, Brendan, Kirsten, a devoted nana of Jamie, Carly and Jake and a much loved daughter of Freda and the late Fred. Would friends please meet for service at St. Cuthbert's Church, North Road on Monday, August 23 at 1.00 p.m. Interment to follow at South Road Cemetery.

KEENAN On August 12, in Ventress Hall. Nora (nee Turnbull), aged 77 years, dearly loved wife of the late Jimmy, sister of Lena and Jean and the late Joan and Billy. Funeral service and cremation at Darlington Crematorium at 10.45 a.m. on Friday, August 20, 2004.

LATCHAM August 14, at home with her family, in Surtees Street, Bishop Auckland. Dorothy (Dot), aged 75 years, a devoted mam, dear mother-in-law, also a much loved and loving nanna and great-nanna. MARLEY (nee Bollands) Margaret, of Merrybent, Darlington, passed away peacefully on August 13, in hospital, with husband Keith and son Gordon by her side. An only child, she is now re-united with her beloved parents Freda and Alfred and her elder son Alick. Margaret was a dear mother-in-law to Inga, grandmother to Connor and Lois and a loyal friend to many, always ready with sound advice if required.
