Joseph, aged 49 years, beloved husband of Julia and father of Emma, a dear brother of Anne and Keith, uncle and great-uncle and son-in-law of Joyce. Will friends please meet for service in St. John's Church, St. John's Chapel on Thursday, September 9 at 1.45 p.m., followed by cremation at Durham. Family flowers only please. PICKING Stephen Timothy, peacefully on September 8 in the Butterwick Hospice, aged 52 years, loving husband of Barbara, dearly loved son of Betty, Bob and the late Tom, dear brother of Mary, Michael, Kathy and Kenneth, son-in-law of Cyril and the late Ernest and Doreen, brother-in-law of Lyn, John and Ruth and a dear uncle. STEVENS Constance (Connie), nee Pratt, aged 79 years, formerly of Cockfield, died peacefully on August 28, 2004 after a long illness at St. Leonards-on-Sea, East Sussex. SWEET (Framwellgate Moor) Peacefully in hospital on September 6. Mary (nee Moore), aged 71 years, much loved wife of Sid, dear mam of Judith and son-in-law Dennis, grandma of Jamie and a loved sister of Carol. Sadly missed by all the family. VANDENBERG September 4, 2004, of Barnard Castle. William (Bill), loving father to Karen and Rich, grandpa to Luke, life long friend to Margaret and adopted dad and grandad to many others. passed away peacefully at the Darlington Memorial Hospital with his family at his bedside. He brought a light of caring, sharing, laughter and enjoyment into so many lives around him and our days will be darker without him. We love and miss him so much. Funeral service at Darlington Crematorium on Friday, September 17 at 2.45 p.m. Friends please meet at the crematorium. Donations, in lieu of flowers, if desired, may be given at the crematorium for the Teesdale Search and Rescue.

WALKER George George lived in Blackpool and was formerly of Wheatley Hill. He passed away with great dignity and peacefully in Blackpool Victoria Hospital on August 31, 2004. Lifelong partner of the late John Smailes, much loved brother of Ralph and the late Billy, Florrie, Ellen, Mary and Ronnie, also a devoted uncle and brother-in-law. Greatly loved and sadly missed by all.
