Service in St. Andrew's Church, Sadberge Wednesday, September 22 at 11.00 a.m., prior to interment in the Churchyard. Friends please meet at Church. Family flowers only please. Donations in lieu, if desired, may be sent to St. Andrew's Church.

GREEN September 11 (suddenly, in hospital), of Linden Court, Hurworth. Leonard John, aged 86 years (formerly Organist at Croft Methodist Church), devoted husband of the late Kay, step-father of Derek Cape, grandfather of Alison and great-grandfather of James and Oliver. Funeral Monday. Would friends kindly meet for service at Darlington Crematorium at 11.45 a.m. No flowers please. HAIGH Kenneth Lewis F.C.A., aged 94 years, of Richmond and Newhaven, on September 11, 2004 following a fall. Father, grandfather and great-grandfather. Sadly missed by his daughters Sheila, Judy and Lesley and their families. Funeral service at Darlington Crematorium on Monday, September 20 at 10.45 a.m. Friends please meet at the crematorium. HAMILTON September 10, peacefully at home, with his family, in Bishop Auckland. Alan, aged 65 years, devoted husband of Dorothy, a dearly loved dad of Steven and Simon, beloved brother of Dorothy and the late Thelma, dear brother-in-law to Anne and the late Peter and Walter, also a much loved uncle and great-uncle. Will friends please meet for service in the Elim Pentecostal Church, Gibbon Street, Bishop Auckland at 11.00 a.m. on Thursday, September 16, followed by cremation at Durham. Family flowers only. Donations in lieu may if desired be left in Church for the Butterwick Hospice and Church Funds.

HANCOCK September 10. Peter Bryan LDS. RCS., aged 81 years, passed away peacefully in the Friarage Hospital after a short illness. Beloved husband of the late Kath and Mary, dear father of Philip (D), Jeremy, Timothy and Helen, dear grandfather of Sarah, Richard, Lucy, Amy, Philippa, Sally, Jonathan and Emily. John Robert (Bob), aged 77 years, beloved husband of Mary, loving dad of Bride, Bernadette, Tommy and the late Rosie, a dear father-in-law of Jonathon, Andrew and Anita, loving grandad of Dominic, Claire, Nicola, Matthew, Owen, Stephanie, Dane, Ruth, Daniel, Michael, Beth, Faith, John Benjamin, Jacob and Garry and great-grandad of Georgia, also a beloved brother, brother-in-law and uncle. Friends please meet for Requiem Mass at Our Lady and St. Thomas' R.C. Church, Willington, on Saturday, September 18 at 10.30 a.m., interment to follow in the churchyard. All are welcome afterwards for refreshments at Willington W.M.C. Rest in peace

HARKER On September 17 (peacefully in hospital after a difficult illness bravely borne), of Shepherds Lodge, Arkengarthdale. Elsie, aged 82 years, very dear wife of the late James Harker, dearly loved by sons Denys and Derek and also Hilda. Funeral service to be held at St. Mary's Church, Arkengarthdale on Tuesday, September 21 at 2.00 p.m., followed by private interment in the churchyard. Family flowers only please, however, donations in lieu, if so desired, may be given in memory of Elsie for church funds. Will relatives and friends please meet at the church and accept this intimation.

HEDLEY Rachel (nee Brown) On September 13, peacefully at home, fought with courage and devotion for her family (formerly of Greatham). Rachel, aged 83 years, reunited with her late husband Edward (Ted, former retired gardener to the Bishop of Durham), dearly loved mam of Caroline, much loved granny to Craig, Philip and the late Angela, cherished great-gran to Emma, Sian and baby Joshua Edward. Cortege will leave residence on Thursday, for funeral service at St. John the Baptist Church, Greatham at 2.30 p.m., prior to cremation. Friends and neighbours kindly invited. Please meet at church.

HENDRY September 11 (suddenly, in hospital), of 38 Friars Pardon, Hurworth. David Harry, aged 48 years, beloved husband of Karen and much loved dad of Brogan. Service at St. Peter's Church, Croft at 1.30 p.m. on Tuesday, September 21, followed by cremation at Darlington West Cemetery. Flowers or donations to Head Injury Support Services may be sent to T. Suffell and Son, Thorntrees, North Cowton, North-allerton, DL7 0HF.

HILDRETH Marjorie, widow of Percy (former Journalist of Birmingham Post and Birmingham Evening Mail). Died September 11, 2004, aged 95 years. Ivy May (nee Balmer), aged 63 years, daughter of Brenda Patricia Balmer, mother of Andrew, David and Tina, grandmother of James and Annabelle. Will be sadly missed. Would friends please meet for service at St. Mary Magdalene Church, Belmont, on Tuesday, September 21 at 1.00 p.m. Interment to follow at South Road Cemetery.

Mabel, aged 86 years, late of Gainford, devoted wife of the late Oswald, much loved mam of Dorothy, Maurice, Brian and Anthony, mother-in-law to Bell, Margaret and Ann, sadly missed by all grandchildren and great-grandchildren. HUTCHINSON September 8 (as the result of a tragic accident), of Jedburgh Drive, Darlington. Reg, aged 65 years, beloved husband of Eleanor, loving dad of Carol, Barbara, Mark and Martin, loving grandad of Sam and Poppy and loving brother of Ken, George, Phil and the late Doug.
