Robert (Bob), aged 76 years, re-united with Gladys his beloved wife, dear brother of John, step-father to Stuart and Ian, much loved grandad to Craig, Lisa and Natalie, also a devoted great-grandad. Funeral Friday, September 17. Would friends please meet 10.00 a.m. for service at St. James' Church, Albert Hill, Darlington, followed by cremation.

McGREGOR September 13 (suddenly at home), of McMullen Road, Darlington. Alex, aged 77 years, much loved husband to Margaret, also a loving dad to Laura and Graham. Funeral Wednesday, September 22. Would friends please meet 1.15 p.m. for service at Darlington Crematorium.

MEADS September 12 (peacefully in hospital), of Barrington Lodge Nursing Home, late of St. Helens, Bishop Auckland. Elsie, aged 92 years, beloved wife of the late George, a loving mother, mother-in-law, grandma, nana, sister and aunt. Cortege leaving 1 Bainbridge Court, St. Helens on Thursday, September 16 at 10.20 a.m. for a service in St. Helen Auckland Church at 10.30 a.m., followed by interment in West Auckland Cemetery.

Alice, aged 81 years, of Graham Court, Darlington, a dearly loved mother to Joyce and Vivien, loving mother-in-law of Bernie and Ronny, a much loved nana to Michael, Sharon and Samantha, a treasured Grandma Alice and a loved sister to David and Jack. Funeral Friday, September 17. Would friends please meet at 1.15 p.m. for service in St. John's Church, Darlington, followed by interment in the North Cemetery.

Lance, aged 96 years, late of Upsall Grove, Fairfield, Stock-ton, dearly loved husband of the late Edna, much loved dad of Dorothy and David, dear father-in-law of Ron and Joan, a dearly loved grandad and great-grandad. Service and cremation at Teesside Crematorium Thursday, September 16 at 2.00 p.m. (St Bede's Chapel). Friends please meet at the Crematorium. Family flowers only please. Donations in lieu, if desired, may be sent to the Butterwick Hospice, Middlefield Road, Hard-wick, Stockton.

MILLS Monday, September 13. Richard Henry, peace-fully, in hospital, aged 70 years, much loved father of Philip, Robert and Barbara. Will be sadly missed by all the family. Betty, aged 92 years, beloved wife of the late Tommy, cherished mother to Shirley and the late Tot, also a loving nana and great-nana. NICHOLLS September 15, of Ferryhill, formerly of Bishop Auckland and Howden-le-Wear. Elizabeth, aged 99 years, beloved wife of the late Sidney George, a devoted mother of Sylvia, Valerie, David and John, also a dear mother-in-law and nana. Will family and friends please meet for service in Howden-le-Wear Methodist Chapel at 2.00 p.m. on Monday, September 20, followed by interment in Howden-le-Wear Cemetery.

Lilian Maud, aged 86 years, beloved wife of the late Phil, dearly loved mam of Derek and Margaret, loving nana of Jason, Julie, Jayne and Stephen, much loved great-nana of Chloe, Jade and Paige. Allan, aged 80 years, of Crayke, formerly of the Black Bull, Topcliffe, dearly beloved husband of Jacqueline, dearly loved dad of Edward, Penelope and the late Eric, father-in-law of David, Kathryn and Christine and a much loved grandad of Christopher, Julian, Jamie, Melissa, Paul and Emma, also a great-grandad to Reece.
