PETTY September 29, of Bishop Auckland. Donald, aged 78 years, beloved husband of the late Ann and Rita, dear step-father to Ian, Judith and Gillian, loving grandad of Sally and Richard, dear brother-in-law of Doris, also a dear uncle, good friend and neighbour. Will friends please meet for service in Durham Crematorium at 11.00 a.m. on Wednesday, October 6. Flowers may be sent, or if preferred, donations to charity may be left at the crematorium.

POUNDER September 29, of Mallard Road, Scotton (formerly of West Burton and The George Inn, Thoralby). Dorothy, aged 75 years. Much loved wife of Eric and a dearly loved mum of Maureen, Ken, Kevin and Kally, also a very dear nan and great-grandmother. Funeral service at Aysgarth Church, Friday October 8, at 12.15 p.m. followed by cremation at Darlington. Donations if desired will be for The British Lung Association (plate in church).

ROBERTSHAW (nee Oliver) September 24 (of Darlington). Florence, aged 93 years. Beloved wife of the late Stan, also a loving mother and grandmother. Family flowers only by request. The funeral service will take place on Friday October 1, 9.15 a.m. at Darlington Crematorium

Robert, aged 84 years, dearly loved husband of Jennie, very dear father of David, Joyce and the late Gordon, much loved father-in-law of Pam and Tony and loving grandad of Tony, Beverley, Matthew and Jonathan. Funeral service to be held at Reeth Methodist Chapel on Tuesday, October 5 at 2.00 p.m., followed by private interment at Grinton Cemetery. Family flowers only please, however, donations in memory of Robert, if so desired, may be given at the service for chapel funds and Marie Curie Cancer Care. Will friends please meet at the chapel and accept this intimation.

SANDERSON September 27 (in hos-pital), formerly of Stanhope and Wolsingham. John, aged 61 years, dear father of Joanne and John-George. Will friends please meet for service in Durham Crematorium at 1.00 p.m. on Friday, October 8. Family flowers only. Donations in lieu may be left at the Crematorium for Wear Ward, The Gables, Sedgefield. After this service all are welcome for refreshments in Wolsingham W.M.C.

SCHOLLICK September 29 (peacefully at home), of Spennymoor. Norah (nee Mason), aged 76 years, dearly beloved wife of George, a loving mother of Geoffrey and a dear sister, sister-in-law and auntie. Would friends please meet in St. Andrew's Church, Spennymoor Wednesday for a service at 12.15 p.m., followed by committal at Durham Crematorium.

Mary Verdun, aged 88 years, dearly loved wife of the late Harry Bernard, much loved mam of Geoffrey, dearest mother-in-law of Wandee and loved by Marilyn, dear granny of Marcia, Jon, Gemma, Laura, Gina and Sophie, treasured great-granny of Amy and Jack. Funeral Thursday, September 30. Friends please meet for service in Grange Road Baptist Church, Darlington at 10.30 a.m., followed by cremation at Darlington Crematorium. Beloved wife of the late George, much loved mother of Les, Jean, George and David, a dear mother-in-law, loving nana, great-nana and sister of George. Jack, aged 98 years, beloved husband of the late Mary Jane (nee Bell), dearly loved father of Gordon and Joe, father-in-law of Pauline and Anne, a much loved grandfather of Simon, Kendra, Joanne and Kathryn. Funeral Thursday. Will friends please meet 9.45 a.m. for service in St. Bartholomew's Church, Croxdale, followed by interment at Croxdale Cemetery.

John Walter (a Showman), aged 79 years, devoted husband of Audrey, a much loved dad of Gail, John Walter and Michael, a loving grandad of Lee, Bradley, Maxine, Mitchell, Abbie and Callam, also a dear father-in-law of Brian, Susan and Lynn, who will be sadly missed by all. Leslie, aged 61 years, loving husband of Janet, father of Keith and Mark, father-in-law of Diana, beloved eldest son of Freda and the late Bob, also a loving grandfather, brother and uncle. Will be greatly missed by all his family.
