Service in the Crematorium Chapel, Durham, November 2 at 2.30 p.m. Please be present by 2.25 p.m. Family flowers only please. Donations in lieu may be given to a charity of your choice.

WOODS October 21, of Cross Hill, Stanhope, formerly of Horn Hall Farm. Lillian, aged 70 years, dearly loved wife of the late John, a loving mother of Katharine and Judith and a dear sister of Margaret. Will friends please meet for service in St. Thomas' Church, Stanhope on Friday, October 29 at 11.45 a.m., followed by cremation at Durham. Donations may be sent to The Bishop Auckland General Hospital Critical Care Unit.

BAINBRIDGE October 31 (peacefully in hospital), of 8 Hartley Close, Staindrop. Jonathan (Jackie), aged 83 years, a very dear brother of Eva. Would family and friends please meet for service in St. Mary's Church, Staindrop on Wednesday, November 10 at 11.30 a.m., followed by interment in Staindrop Cemetery. Floral tributes may be sent c/o John Wise Funeral Service, 16 Stainton Village, Barnard Castle, DL12 8RB, or donations in lieu may be left in church for Church Funds.

BANNER Kane Ryland Edward, aged 17 years, of Auckland Park, tragically, as the result of an accident with his friend Ryan, on October 31. Beloved son of Denise, loving brother of Nathan, much loved grandson of Elaine and Dennis and first great-grandson for Betty Parker. Treasured nephew of Angela and like a son to Philip and good friend to many. Service at St. Andrew's Church, Bishop Auckland at 10.00 a.m. on Saturday, November 6, followed by private interment in Bishop Auckland Cemetery. Will friends please meet at church.

Peter, aged 60 years, dearly loved husband of Brigitte, loving father of Jennifer, dearest grandpa of Liam and Abbie, much loved son of Mary and the late Leslie and brother to Marcus, Marjorie, Ann and Stewart. Funeral service to be held in St. Mary's Church, Appleton Wiske 12.30 p.m. Monday, November 8, followed by interment. Dear father-in-law of Angela and Sam, also a dearly loved grandad and great-grandad. Funeral service to be held at Romanby Parish Church on Monday, November 8 at 1.00 p.m., followed by committal at Darlington Crematorium. Family flowers only please, by request. BROWN Nee Hopps, Nancy aged 88, November 5, peacefully in hospital in Adelaide, Australia.

BURNSIDE Darlington October 27 (suddenly), of Eden Crescent. Kevin, aged 53 years, dearly loved husband of Susan, beloved dad of Robert Snr., Kevin, Adam, Robert Jnr. and Louise. Will be sadly missed by all his family and many friends. Funeral Monday, November 8. BURTON On November 1 (peacefully, in the Friarage Hospital, North-allerton), of Rosedale Retirement Home, Catterick Garrison and formerly of Colstan Road, Northallerton, also Reeth and Askrigg. Handley, aged 84 years, beloved husband of Kathleen, a dear and much respected father of Bill and Trish, father-in-law of Mavis and Chris, dearly loved by grandchildren Paul, Jane, Kate and Rose and proud great-grandad of Rosa. A private family cremation service will be held at Darlington, however, a Thanksgiving Service for Handley's life will be held at Northallerton Methodist Church on Thursday, November 4 at 3.00 p.m., to which all are very welcome. No flowers please but donations in memory of Handley, if so desired, may be given at the service for Martin House Hospice, Boston Spa.

CAINE Joan On October 31, of Kirkbymoorside, late of Bilsdale. Wife of the late Nathan, mother of Maureen, Edward and Allan, also a grandma and great-grandma. Funeral service, followed by interment, at St. John's Church, Bilsdale on Thursday, November 4 at 1.00 p.m. Family flowers only please. Donations in lieu, if so desired, to St. John's Church funds.

Beloved husband of the late Iris, a sadly missed dad of Melvyn and Malcolm, a dear father-in-law of Maureen and the late Jean, a treasured grandad and also a dear friend of Dorothy. Bessie (nee Snowdon), aged 92 years, beloved wife of the late Robert, devoted mother of Geoffrey and Doris, dear mother-in-law to Kathleen and Ronnie, also a much loved and loving grandma to Andrew, Helen and Richard. Will friends please meet for service in St. Anne's Church, Bishop Auckland at 1.00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 10, followed by cremation at Durham.

EATON Margaret, aged 95 years, of Colburn, died peacefully at the Friary Hospital, Richmond on October 28. Beloved wife of the late Tom, much loved mother of Stanley, Joyce and Ann and a dear mother-in-law, loving grandma and great-grandma.
