Hannah (nee Goodrum), aged 69 years, a much loved wife to Terence, also a dear mam, dear mother-in-law and a cherished grandma and great-grandma. Cortege to leave residence on Wednesday for service at the Church of the Ascension, Easington Colliery at 1.00 p.m., prior to a cremation at Sunderland Crematorium. Friends are kindly invited, please meet at the church. Private from the church. Family flowers only please. Donations in lieu of flowers, if so desired, to the Macmillan Nurses, c/o Kevin Hepworth, Funeral Director.

HUTCHINSON November 24, in hospital, of Stockton. James Angus, aged 93 years, dearly loved father of Sylvia and Rita and much loved grandad of Alison and Diane. Funeral Wednesday. Friends please meet for service at Darlington Crematorium at 1.45 p.m.

JEFFERSON On November 23, peacefully at home, in Swainby. Alfred (Alf), a dear brother. Funeral service to be held at Holy Cross Church, Swainby 11.00 a.m. Thursday, December 2, followed by interment.

JENKINSON James William (Jim) On Friday, November 12, 2004, of Rockwell House, Darlington, passed peacefully away in Dubai. Darling husband of Jacky, beloved father of Jim and Keith, a devoted grandfather to Kerri and Marc, a loving great-grandfather and dearly loved father-in-law and stepfather. Funeral to be held at Darlington Crematorium on Tuesday, November 30 at 3.45 p.m. Floral tributes accepted or donations in lieu of flowers may be sent for The British Heart Foundation, c/o Seaton Leng and Son Ltd., 59a Bondgate, Darlington, DL3 7JR.

JOBLING Died November 21, peacefully at home, after a long illness. Richard Alan, aged 67 years, of Romanby (late of Meadow Lane). Loving partner of Olive, dear father of Susan, Paul and Kevin, also a dear father-in-law and grandad to Lisa, Jodie, Andy, Scot, Sullivan, Callum and Hayley, also a very close friend of Susan, Catherine, Vikki, Kelli, Shelli and Elise. Funeral service to be held at All Saints' Church, Northallerton on Friday, November 26 at 11.00 a.m., followed by interment.

KENNEDY November 19. Hilda May (nee Hinds), aged 92 years, at Appletree Care Home, Meadowfield. Beloved wife of the late William, mother of David, Mary and the late Margaret, grandmother of Anne, Debra and John, great-grandmother of Daniel, mother-in-law of Betty, John and the late Peter. Will friends please meet for service and celebration of a long life at the Murray Independent Methodist Church, Brandon on Wednesday, November 24 at 11.30 a.m., followed by interment at Meadowfield Cemetery.

KIRKBY Nee Woodall November 21 (peacefully in Tenlands Care Home), of Chilton. Gladys, aged 81 years, dearly loved wife of the late Matty, much loved mam of Elaine and Terry, a devoted nanna and great-grandma also a dear mother-in-law and sister. Service in Durham Crematorium Chapel at 3.30 p.m., on Friday. Would friends please meet at the crematorium.

LEE November 19 (suddenly), of Bishop Auckland. Philip, aged 74 years, loving brother of Kevin, Pat, Angela and Dorothy also a dear brother-in-law and uncle. Friends please meet for Requiem Mass in St. Joseph's R.C. Church, Coundon on Friday, November 26 at 9.30 a.m., followed by interment in the churchyard.

LEWIS-DAVIS Darlington November 20 (peacefully in hospital), of Stanton Hall, formerly of Pensbury Street. Ivan Leicester, beloved husband of the late Phyllis, much loved and loving dad of Lorraine, father-in-law of Paul, much respected father figure of Yvonne, Debbie, Alan, Heather and Dawn. Sadly missed by family and friends both here and abroad. Funeral Tuesday, November 30. Would friends kindly meet for service in St. Cuthbert's Church at 11.00 a.m., prior to interment in the North Cemetery. Floral tributes, if so desired, may be sent to Seaton Leng and Son Ltd., Bondgate, Darlington.

LONGSTAFF November 24, of Rutland Drive, Willington. Jenny, aged 76 years. Beloved wife of the late Jimmy, loving sister of Dilys, also a dear sister-in-law and aunty. Friends please meet for service at Willington Methodist Church on Tuesday November 30, at 12.15 p.m. followed by cremation at Durham. Family and friends welcome afterwards to a reception at, The Methodist Chapel Hall.

LUDLOW November 25, 4a Aged Miners Homes, Sacriston. John (Jack), aged 81 years. Dearly loved husband of the late Olga, devoted father of Barry and daughter-in-law Irene and a dear grandad. Friends please meet for service in St. Peter's Church, on Tuesday November 30, at 10.00 a.m. followed by interment at Sacriston Cemetery.

MADDEN Evelyn, on November 22 (in hospital after a long illness), of Sycamore Park, Brandon, a much loved mam, nana and great-nana. Will friends please meet for service and cremation at Durham Crematorium on Wednesday, at 2.30 p.m.

MAFHAM November 20 (suddenly), of Geneva Road, Darlington. Anthony (Tony), aged 70 years. Beloved husband of the late Maureen, loving dad to Stephen and Kim, also a dearly loved father-in-law, grandad, brother, brother-in-law and uncle. Funeral Wednesday December 1. Would friends please meet 9.45 a.m. for service at Darlington Crematorium.

MARTIN On November 21, 2004, suddenly and peacefully in Queen Elizabeth Hospital, of Wardley (recently of Lindisfarne Care Home, Ouston). Ida (nee Walker), aged 84 years, beloved wife of the late Fred, mother of Gillian and Dorothy, sons-in-law Matty and John, gran of Amanda, Lisa, Anna, Ged and Alan, loving GiGi to Jack and Sophie. Service to be held at Saltwell Crematorium Chapel on Wednesday, December 1 at 12.00 noon and afterwards at The Green, Wardley. Family flowers only. Always loved, never forgotten.

McCARTNEY On November 20 (of Darlington). Mollie, aged 90 years, beloved wife of Andrew, dearly loved mother of Andy and the late Barbara, mother-in-law of Avril and Hugh. Also a much loved grandma and great-grandma. The funeral service will take place on Friday, November 26, 1.45 p.m., at Darlington Crematorium. Family flowers only. Donations in lieu may be made to St. Teresa's Hospice (at the crematorium).

MENZIES Sharon (nee Reed) Died tragically in Wales, aged 45 years, on November 5, 2004. Daughter of the late Alan and Evelyn, also a beloved sister, mother, grandmother and auntie.

MILLIGAN Doctor Hamilton Cassells Milligan M.B.Ch.B., D.P.H., former Medical Officer of Health for Hartlepool. On November 19, in hospital. Tony, dearly loved husband of the late Margaret, very dear father of Simon and Gavin, a dear father-in-law of Jane. Funeral Service of Thanksgiving at Grange Road Methodist Church, Hartlepool Friday, 11.00 a.m., prior to cremation at Hartlepool Crematorium. No flowers by request. Donations in lieu, if so desired, to Save The Children Fund, c/o 129 Park Road, Hartlepool, TS26 9HT.

MONK November 24 (peace fully, in her sleep), in Craigellachie Nursing Home. Hilda, aged 94 years. Beloved wife of the late Thomas and dearest mother of Denis. Funeral to take place on Wednesday December 1, at Hartlepool Crematorium at 11.00 a.m.

Jane, aged 75 years, beloved wife of Harold, devoted mam of Kingsley and Ian, dear mother-in-law to Suzanne, a much loved and loving grandma to Darren, Lindsay and Jane, also a dear sister, sister-in-law and aunt. Will friends please meet for service in Durham Crematorium at 3.00 p.m. on Friday, November 26. Family flowers only. Donations in lieu may be left at the crematorium for Cancer Research and Heart Foundation.

Geoffrey Arthur, aged 83 years, beloved husband of Margaret, dearly loved father of Linda, Richard and Kathryn and a very dear father-in-law and grandpa. A private family funeral service will be followed by a Service of Thanksgiving at St. Mary and St. Alkelda's Church, Middleham on Thursday, December 2 at 3.00 p.m. Family flowers only please.
