BRAMLEY May 12, peacefully, in Rydal Nursing Home, of Geneva Road, Darlington. Mary, aged 88 years, dearly loved mother of Donald and Kenneth and a much loved grandma of Susan, Lynn and David. Funeral Monday. Friends please meet for service in Darlington Crematorium at 9.45 a.m.

BUCKINGHAM May 14 (peacefully, at Maple Lodge Nursing Home), of Lane House, Reeth. Patrick, aged 85 years, dearly loved husband of Barbara. Private cremation. A Thanksgiving Service for Patrick's life will be held at Reeth Methodist Chapel on Thursday, May 22 at 2.00 p.m., to which all are welcome.

BURNIP May 11 (at home), of Bishop Auckland. James (Jim), in his 79th year, a dearly loved husband of Dorothy, a dear brother of Douglas and Jennie. Funeral Friday, May 16. Would friends please meet at 11.30 a.m. for service and cremation at Durham Crematorium. Family flowers only please. Donations in lieu may be sent to The Butterwick Hospice, Woodhouse Lane, Bishop Auckland. Please note change of time.

BYERS May 7 (suddenly), of Bedale. Ronald, aged 58 years, dearly beloved husband of Ann, a much loved dad of Darren and Adrian, a treasured grandad of Chloé and Isla, also a dear son of Mona. Funeral service and interment to be held at St. Gregory's Church, Bedale on Thursday, May 15 at 2.30 p.m. Sadly missed by all the family.

Service at St Clare's Church, Newton Aycliffe on Monday, May 19 at 1.15 p.m., followed by private cremation. Will friends please meet at church.

CLOSE May 15 (peacefully in hospital), of Burnie Gardens, Shildon. Patricia (nee Morland), aged 67 years, dearly loved wife of Cyril, a beloved mother, mother-in-law, nanna and sister. Interment Thursday, May 22 in Shildon Cemetery, following a service in St. John's Church, Shildon at 12.00 noon. Friends please meet at church.

CRAIG May 12 (peacefully, in hospital), of Darlington. Paul, aged 46 years, dearly beloved son of Isobel and the late Albert, much loved brother of Anne-Marie, Ethané, Michael, Susanne and Alison. Funeral Tuesday, May 20. Will friends please meet 1.00 p.m. for Requiem Mass at St Teresa's R.C. Church, Darlington, prior to cremation. Family flowers only please. Joseph, aged 90 years, beloved husband of the late Ruth, dearly loved father of Maureen, Joseph and the late Edith, father-in-law of Ronnie, loving grandad of Karen, Dawn, Julie and Joseph, much loved great-grandad of Lisa, Ben, Carl, Daniel, Sam, Kieran and Emily and will be sadly missed by his many friends. DIXON Donald Charles Cassels C.B.E., Fweldl, formerly of Cleveland Bridge and Engineering, died peacefully in hospital on May 11, 2003. Husband of Sarah, loving father of Georgina, Charles, Henry and Louisa and proud grandfather of ten grandchildren. HENDERSON Eileen (Matron Housekeeper Retired, Durham High School) formerly of High Shincliffe, passed away peacefully at home with family, at Swinton, by Duns, Scottish Borders, on May 10, 2003, beloved wife of Alex and dear mother of Cameron and Karen. A funeral service was held at Mortonhall Crematorium Edinburgh, on Wednesday May 14.

Rosemary, aged 63 years, dearly loved wife of Robert William, loving mother of Gillian, Stephen and David, a dear mother-in-law and grandma.
