Would friends please meet for service at St. Luke's Church, Ferryhill on Thursday at 9.15 a.m., followed by interment at Chilton Cemetery.

BALDWIN December 12, peacefully at home, with her family, in Leeholme. Moira, aged 68 years, devoted mam of Stephen, Kevin, Debbie, Mandy, Liz, Diane and George, a dear mother-in-law, much loved and loving nana and great-nana, also a good friend to all. Will friends please meet for service in St. James' Church, Coundon at 1.00 p.m. on Thursday, December 16, followed by interment in Coundon Cemetery.

BARKER December 14 (suddenly, at home), of West Auckland Road, Darlington. Joseph William, aged 81 years. Beloved husband of the late Melda. Funeral Wednesday December 22. Would friends please meet 10.30 a.m. for service in St. Matthew's and St Luke's Church, Darlington, prior to cremation at Darlington Crematorium.

BENTHAM On December 10, suddenly and of 11 Cuthbert Avenue, Sherburn Road. Allan (Benny the Brick), aged 51 years, dearly loved husband of Ellen, loving son of the late Teddy and Margaret and a much loved father of Angela, Allan, Mark, Willam and Holly and a dearly loved grandad. Will be sadly missed. Would friends please meet for service at St. Giles' Church, Gilesgate on Saturday, December 18 at 10.00 a.m., interment to follow. Friends welcome back to New Durham Club.

BERGIN December 10, suddenly of Oversteads House, Ushaw Moor. Beryl Kathleen, devoted wife of Keith, much loved daughter-in-law of Betty and sadly missed by all her friends. Would friends please meet for service and cremation at Durham Crematorium on Thursday, December 16 at 2.00 p.m.

Hilda (nee Cummings), aged 77 years, a loving wife of the late Ralph, a dearly loved mam of William, Beryl and Sarah, a dear mother-in-law of Susan, Harry and David, a loved grannie to Kate, Emily, Ruth, Jane, Emma, Thomas, Hannah and Eve, a dear friend and Grannie Blance to many village children. Would friends please meet in St. Michael's Church, Bishop Middleham, Wednesday for a service at 1.00 p.m., followed by committal at Durham Crematorium. Family flowers only. Donations in lieu, if desired, may be left in the collection plate for church funds.

BOWE December 15 (peacefully in hospital), of Estoril Road, Darlington. Alan, aged 88 years, loving husband to Margaret, much loved dad to Diane, dearly loved father-in-law to Derek, also a devoted grandad to Matthew and James. Funeral Thursday, December 23. BRAND Marjorie (nee Light), aged 78 years, of Catterick Village, formerly of Whitcliffe Grange, Richmond, died peacefully in hospital on December 4, after a short illness. Dearly loved wife of Jim, much loved mam of Barry and Pamela and dear mother-in-law to Angela and Martin. Funeral service at St. Mary's Church, Richmond on Wednesday, December 15 at 2.15 p.m., followed by cremation at Darlington. Friends please meet at the church. Flowers, if desired, may be sent to John Blenkiron and Sons, Funeral Directors, Victoria House, 21 Queens Road, Richmond.

Elizabeth Ann (Betty, nee Walton), aged 78 years, beloved wife of the late Ernest, devoted mam of Fred, Trevor, Susan, John and Sandra, a dear mother-in-law, much loved and loving gran and great-gran, also a dear sister-in-law and aunt. Will friends please meet for service in Durham Crematorium at 11.00 a.m. on Friday, December 17.

BROWN Suddenly on December 11, of Houghton-le-Spring. Eddie, aged 66 years, dearly loved husband of Maureen (nee Geldart), dearest dad of Sharon and Alison, dear father-in-law of Mark and Eddie, devoted grandad of Joanne and Alex and dear brother of George. Eddie will be received into St. Michael and All Angels' Church, Houghton on Monday, December 20, 7.00 p.m. for a Farewell Eucharist. Funeral service on Tuesday, December 21 at 10.30 a.m., prior to cremation at Sunderland Crematorium at 11.30 a.m. Friends please meet at church. Family flowers only please. Donations to I.C.C.U., Sunderland Royal Hospital.

CARR Beryl, of Romanby, Northallerton, peacefully in Friarage Hospital on December 12, aged 77 years. Dear wife of the late Geoffrey, a loving sister of Ena and Ernie and a dear aunty of Jane and Helen and sister-in-law of John. Funeral service to take place at Potter Hill Methodist Church on Tuesday, December 21 at 1.00 p.m., followed by cremation at Woodlands Crematorium, Scarborough. Family flowers only please. Sarah, aged 89 years, beloved wife of the late Mark and a much loved mother of Raymond, Margaret, Brian and the late Verna and Roland and a very dear grandmother and great-grandmother. COATES December 15 (peacefully in hospital), of 21 Wear View, Byers Green. Madge, aged 81 years, a dearly loved mam of Norman and Joan, a much loved gran of Michael, a dearly loved great-gran and a dear sister, sister-in-law and aunt. Would friends please meet in Byers Green Methodist Chapel Tuesday for a service at 2.20 p.m., followed by committal at Durham Crematorium. Family flowers only by request.

COLDICOTT December 7 (peacefully in Hallgarth Nursing Home), of Durham. Dorothy, aged 87 years, beloved sister of Frances and Eddie, sister-in-law of Ruby and a loved aunt and great-aunt. Would family and friends please meet for service at St. Oswald's Church, Durham on Wednesday, December 15 at 11.30 a.m., followed by cremation at Durham Crematorium.

CRAGGS December 11 (suddenly), of Wolsingham. Georgina (Gina), aged 65 years, dearly loved wife of the late Ken and a loving mother of Trevor and Michael and a much loved grandmother. Will friends please meet for service in Durham Crematorium on Friday, December 17 at 1.30 p.m. Family flowers only please. Donations in lieu, if desired, to the Heart Foundation and Cancer Care, plate at the crematorium. Bus provided, leaving from residence at 12.45 p.m.

Linda, aged 50 years, loving wife of Clive and loving mother of Andrew, loving daughter of Walter and Audrey, sister to David and Fiona, daughter-in-law of Doreen and sister-in-law and aunty to Susan, Brian, Jackie and Stuart, Lynsey, Steven, Craig, Tesni and Joey. Funeral service to take place at Durham Crematorium on Monday, December 20 at 2.30 p.m. Will never be forgotten R.I.P.

DACK December 9 (after a short illness, in hospital), of The Grange, Sowerby, Thirsk. Esther, aged 69 years, beloved wife of the late Eddie, a dear sister of Mary and much loved aunt and great-aunt. DAVIS William Anthony On December 11, suddenly at home. Tony, aged 85 years of Thornaby, dearly loved husband of the late Hilda, dearest dad of Andrea and the late Sylvia, a much loved grandad of Claire, Christina, Gary and Kimberley, great-grandad of Joshua and Anya. Cortege leaving her son's residence at 9.50 a.m., on Thursday, December 16 for a service in St. Andrew's Church at 10.00 a.m., followed by interment in Rosemount Cemetery.

Beloved wife of the late Joseph, devoted mam of Betty, Marjory and the late Ken, a dear mother-in-law, much loved and loving nana and great-nan. Will friends please meet for service in The Valley Methodist Church at 10.15 a.m. on Monday, December 20, followed by cremation at Darlington. Family flowers only. John, aged 76 years, loving and devoted husband of Norma, much loved father of Julie, father-in-law of Paul, dearly loved grandad of Hannah and Ben and a dear brother and brother-in-law. DOWSON Janet (nee Lee), aged 55 years, of 55 High Riggs, Barnard Castle, formerly of Copley and Woodland, passed away peacefully at home on December 10, after a courageous battle against cancer. Dearly loved and devoted wife of Angus, loving mam of Angela and Jillian, dear mother-in-law to Mark and Christopher, special gran to Adam and Amy, dear sister to Irene, Marian and Audrey, sister-in-law, aunt and friend to many. Funeral service at Woodland Methodist Chapel on Thursday, December 16 at 10.45 a.m., followed by interment in the cemetery. Friends please meet at the chapel. Family flowers only, by request.
